Betfred Cup Quarter Final

Rangers v Q of South

Tues20th Sept or Wed 21st Sept.

10 Aug 2016 21:36:43
I can safely say that we don't want any of the Fijian centre backs!

10 Aug 2016 21:36:42
Agbonlahor anyone?

10 Aug 2016 21:43:19
No fat lazy trouble making knob.

10 Aug 2016 21:52:33
Not for me but no harm in a weeks trial see first hand his fitness/ attitude!

11 Aug 2016 07:13:43
Guy is a useless bellend.

10 Aug 2016 21:32:38
Was just watching the Olympics the German team would love the gers to sign nils petersen just what we need 6'2 prolific goal scorer aged 27 check out his stats we have always did well with German players recon he would cost 2.5 million which is nothing for a striker 40k season tickets sold king saying he would spend 20-30 millions surely we could afford that.

10 Aug 2016 21:40:03
He's had five tonight hasn't he?!

10 Aug 2016 21:45:16
Hopefully Dodoo will have a run of good games, get some goals and confidence.

10 Aug 2016 21:50:25
Ye he also has champions league winners medal with bayern great scoring record.

10 Aug 2016 22:10:38
If you believed what King was saying, you are mental. The reality is King won't be pumping in his "kids inheritance" as he has stated. On top of that we are already spending more than we make by about 6-10 million per season. Therefore, there is no danger of us spending 2.5M on a player. If you doubt what I am saying, you only have to look at our current transfer strategy for confirmation that we won't be spending big on transfer fees.

11 Aug 2016 08:13:12
Bosshogg, Warburton has never spent big money. at Brentford the most he spent on one player was around 1.2-1.5, not a lot in that league.

10 Aug 2016 21:15:15
Has there been any news on Waghorn yet? Looking forward to Saturday when we will really get our season underway!

10 Aug 2016 22:11:29
Will be a tough match against Dundee. If we get 3 points at Dens, then it will be a great result.

11 Aug 2016 12:12:12
I don't care that its our first season back I still expect my team to beat the likes of Dundee and the rest of the spl teams including hearts and maybe get a good game off of celtic but people saying if we get 3 points at dens against a team we beat 4-0 last season is a great result its not its an expected result and its one we should be winning comfortably only teams strong enough to beat us sometimes is selik and maybe the sheep if they have a good game and we have a bad one I know we havnt got the players we used to have but we are rangers and its all about us!

people make Glasgow and we are the people!
never forget that as fans or the team might start going in that direction aswell we must expect to win those games.

11 Aug 2016 14:50:45
Didnt u expect to beat Hamilton? Or maybe its the we are the people attitude eh lol.

10 Aug 2016 20:44:32
Just watched last nights highlights and going forward we looked so much better direct at speed. Front 3 and Rossister should start on Saturday.

11 Aug 2016 02:05:41
I would start tht whole team again on saturday, looked hungry and all be it against peterhead but we played well.

11 Aug 2016 07:17:06
I agree, watched the game back last night, dodoo gives us something different with his pace and movement up front and what about us actually getting the ball into the box straight from a corner! 2 goals from it.

10 Aug 2016 20:30:16
Cheers laudo.

11 Aug 2016 18:24:20
Front 3 imo McKay Dodoo O'Halloran then sub O'Halloran with Forrester or vice versa. Keep this formation then when Waghorn is fit see how this trio have gelled Dodoo WILL bang them in Bears.

11 Aug 2016 21:02:55
What if o'halloran scores a hat trick do we still just sub him for forrester lol.

10 Aug 2016 20:00:35
Thought ryan hardie was out on loan he has just scored for u20s.

10 Aug 2016 20:11:50
Hardie aloud to play in this compitition aswell as other youngsters we have out on loan as that was part of the agreement rangers made with clubs before loan deals were agreed.

10 Aug 2016 20:13:59
Ryan hardier and Jordan Thompson both playing.

10 Aug 2016 20:30:25
I had no idea that rangers players on loan could play in irn bru cup. good to see hardie scoring.

10 Aug 2016 20:09:20
Him and thompson both playing. must be in the rules somehow.

10 Aug 2016 19:56:24
Any1 know the line up for the u20s v Stirling uni tonight. I was wanting to go but can't due to the wife being due to give birth any day now.

10 Aug 2016 20:37:38
How inconsiderate can you be? Only kidding Benny! Hope you don't have to wait too long pal. All the best!

10 Aug 2016 21:32:21
Cheers the seeker. Haha some1 disagreed with my initial comment.

11 Aug 2016 18:27:36
Where they playing home U20's game's? Not up to date on this one Bears.

10 Aug 2016 19:36:13
Mark Warburton mentions that Adam Armstrong is a talent but not what Rangers want, he feels that Joe Dodoo can be the player to deliver

Rod Fanni would be a free transfer but would demand around 15k a week I guess that would be fine over 2 years!

10 Aug 2016 19:34:51
What happened to the boy crooks from Accrington, hasn't been near the first team is he injured or something.

10 Aug 2016 19:45:50
Injured mate he's still recovering from an ankle op. can't wait to see this boy play.

10 Aug 2016 20:08:22
Looking forward to Windass being fit again as well.

10 Aug 2016 20:41:15
Yip windass looks a cracker.

10 Aug 2016 20:48:27
Am i right thinking Crooks can play in the CB role?

10 Aug 2016 21:20:59
Cb, rb or cm mate.

10 Aug 2016 21:35:35
Cheers Bluedie, I was sure I read he could play that position.

10 Aug 2016 23:44:04
Where do the U20's play home games? Thought were building a stand at Auchinhowie?

10 Aug 2016 19:17:16
Bears have a look at the motherwell odds, good odds with both teams to score i got 25 to 1 might not work but hey a fiver on it and you won't miss it, also took motherwell to get a pen at 14 to 1 .
Mon the well lol.

10 Aug 2016 20:10:02
First 20 minutes and it looks like motherwell aren't getting a shot in nevermind a goal.

10 Aug 2016 20:18:45
Yeah i know but hey you never know.

10 Aug 2016 20:24:12
F Motherwell and Celtic.

Don't care about either of them ir there cup match.

10 Aug 2016 20:38:48
Wouldn't watch it. No interest.

10 Aug 2016 20:39:49
Did you bet on it Stmonkey?

Quality input Jaff77. Haha.

10 Aug 2016 20:51:35
Watching the gymnastics now seeker, 👍 I watched their first goal.

No real fight in Motherwell.

10 Aug 2016 21:08:57
German's are up 8-0 against Fiji with 40mins to go!

10 Aug 2016 21:14:02
Yeah mate not watching it though just catching updates every so often i took the mwell pen, so here's hopin.

10 Aug 2016 21:21:47
They gave a penalty away but that doesn't help you much mate.

Watching this Olympic match between Germany and Fiji, no commentary so it's like watching a kick about.

10 Aug 2016 14:08:50
Dundee Accepted a £500k bid for Greg Stewart from Birmingham City but Greg Stewart has turned down the move! Big Gers fan I wouldn't mind him signing a pre-contract in January 😜.

10 Aug 2016 15:19:26
My initial offer would be £250,000 to let him know that we really really want him.

10 Aug 2016 15:58:42
Do you think that he knows something knocking back birmingham, maybe rangers interested.

10 Aug 2016 16:11:45
Offer £500k and get it done remember what it was like last summer.

10 Aug 2016 16:54:41
supposedly qpr in as well.

10 Aug 2016 18:10:00
Not the type of player we need.

10 Aug 2016 18:12:42
Bears, who else do we have with a left peg in that position? I really think we will get Stewart on a pre in Jan I really do hope Warbs brings in a CH and a striker soon but definitely a CH as I have high hopes for Dodoo I think this guy will bang them in given a decent run, have faith in Dodoo also Windass think Warbs will play this guy in a far more attacking role BUT CH priority!

10 Aug 2016 18:58:54
Defo agree mate cb is priority. i'd like to see rossiter as the sitter with barton an windass more advanced. think windass would influence games more than krankjar as he's more pacey, athletic, strong etc.

10 Aug 2016 19:06:28
Stewart will be a 5m player in 2 seasons mark my words Bears!

10 Aug 2016 19:27:00
Defo think 500k on stewart is worth the risk. bags of potential, young and a cracking left foot. we look so disjointed at times with all right footers.

10 Aug 2016 19:00:29
Gaz t good post mate, ide imagine if we after stewart he will site tight, and sign a pre contract when santa claus in due in the area, lol, the player is a rangers fan, so he will show his true colours while waiting for the move, unlike another player that claimed to be a bear, that same player would have got his chance to come to our place, frozen out by his new club, then fired out the door at his new club, ide bet my last pound that allen wished he had sat in the stands for his last season at hibs rather than being passed around like a bottle of cheap wine,

11 Aug 2016 07:23:27
greg stewart would be a great addition to the gers, scores the kind of goals Haris Vudkic used to score from outside the area, similar left peg.

10 Aug 2016 12:04:27
Tav is Going Nowhere! The lad will be a Better Player this seaon.

10 Aug 2016 14:01:38
Unless it's in the millions, then it's not going to be accepted, new contract, family established here, Turkey is a Hell hole and so on and so fourth.

10 Aug 2016 18:39:50
He's worth around 1 million.

10 Aug 2016 18:57:09
Need to laugh at people on here saying Tav's worth this or that. He's worth what someone will pay for him and what we will accept, same as any contracted player.

10 aug 2016 19:08:44
turkey! who the hell wants to go to that god forsaken place.

10 Aug 2016 23:27:16
Tav is one of MW's favourites. He has givin him the chance and to be fair, he's takin it. It would take a serious amount of money for the hat to let him go.
And, Andy1872's right. Turkeys a s@/ thole! Glasgow's miles better.

10 Aug 2016 11:16:47
Ricardo carvalho just been released from monoco, not the ideal CB at 38 but don't forgot won the euros proved his salt. Don't know what wages he is on or if it's feasible but hey it's a rumour site don't hate ha.

10 Aug 2016 15:20:45
38 is a step too far, unless it was a pay per play for a few months.

10 Aug 2016 15:39:50
Honestly I would have taken him if we hadn't already signed over the Hill. 37+38 is just pushing it though.

10 Aug 2016 16:55:28
just2see' over the hill as you called him in your post is the guy who banged in 2 goals on Tuesday night.
I'm sure you would have cheered like everyone else when it happened so don't knock him.

10 Aug 2016 18:41:15
Scotman

It was Peterhead though.

10 Aug 2016 18:53:10
Mate just because he scored 2 goals against Peterhead does not make him a good player, if you know about any of my posts you will know that I did not rate Hill before we signed him, when we signed him or even now. Whether he can cut it in the SPL will only be seen in time but don't suggest I am that deluded to be convinced/ unconvinced about any player with a game against Peterhead.

Big deal, he was lucky enough to be in the rite area 2 times in a game, I still reserve my judgement on him until a good bit into the season.

11 Aug 2016 02:38:52
Why not give players abit of support?

10 Aug 2016 10:31:43
I here fanni is a right back but I personally would play him in the hole.

10 Aug 2016 18:03:15
If the winger skips by him we will be in the dodoo lol. I know, I won't give up my day job.

10 Aug 2016 18:58:39
Unless your day jobs a stand up comedian. 😂.

10 Aug 2016 09:53:27
Been scrolling through this rumours page this morning and av got to say there are a number of many fans who are never going to be happy. Abusing king, saying kranjcar is done, slating the players that got us up to the premiership, when are we going to stand behind the team and just let us bed a team that's going to challenge for the premiership. Forgot what happens elsewhere and what other teams arexpect doing, all we care about is rangers and we should be showing encouragement. Kiernan made captain last night and it showed in his performance, he looked comfortable and confident. Do you think "our" players like waking up to stick from our own fans. Hamilton wasn't the best result, if you think that's the league over with a silly draw at ibrox then you are wrong. C'mon bears stick by the team and support every move.

10 Aug 2016 10:23:09
Great post Clubdeck06.

10 Aug 2016 10:32:17
Nice post clubdeck. Spot on the money there. A year ago we wouldn't of dreamed of mentioning kranjcar and Rangers in the same breath.

10 Aug 2016 10:47:00
Well said mate, the hysteria over that draw has made me embarrassed to be a Gers fan, as has the treatment of DK who has completely transformed the Club in 18months.
This squad is capable of challenging for the title (admittedly we still need at least a CB and ST, which I'm sure will come) . People make out as if Celtic are invincible because they scraped to a win at Tynecastle and scraped through a few qualifiers against trams nobody has heard of.

10 Aug 2016 11:00:53
I see Hamilton couldn't keep their one match run of form going against Morton last night. We're all behind the team and I don't think some of the criticism suggests otherwise. A lot was directed at the starting 11 selection on Saturday and last night proved a fair number of posters right. O'Halloran and Dodoo bring a lot of pace to the attack and what a game Rosster had.

10 Aug 2016 11:15:11
Clubdeck06

I agree with a lot of your post however Peterhead posed next to no goal threat so of course Kiernan looked comfortable but going forward in the league do you honestly believe he will be as comfortable against Hearts, Aberdeen and Celtic?

10 Aug 2016 11:19:33
recbob, Celtic are woeful, however they are currently the best team in this country. They have been arrogant and knew they would walk the title over the last few seasons. They have had to buck up their ideas for this season. There are certainly no stars in their team, unless I have missed something. Are they as good as the team we beat to the 10/ 11 championship? I would say no chance. We have to significantly improve, but unless they do also they are in danger of tripping over their own arrogance. And in their new manager they have a major arrogant person, makes John Collins look like mr bashful.

10 Aug 2016 11:41:43
Going by what I've seen Cullin there is nothing to say we need to seriously buck our ideas as of yet. I will be more inclined to agree once you guys have put a string of results together against decent opposition! Until then I won't have too many sleepless nights and your comments about us progressing in Europe will just remain to appear bitter! I agree a CB and a striker will do the world of good in achieving that, however considering the transfer window remains open for us as well I'm confident we will finish with a much stronger squad than we struggled with continuously over the last 2 seasons.

10 Aug 2016 12:45:39
Tompo88, I would say the fact you have got a new manager in on big money and the signings he has made so far would suggest otherwise. Celtic knew they couldn't freewheel the season again. Perhaps I am wrong and it is the challenge of Aberdeen that has made you change your ideas. Out of interest where have I mentioned Europe?

10 Aug 2016 13:03:39
I wouldn't disagree with that Tbh at the end of the day losing to youz in your first season back would be unthinkable, but think signings we have made so far has put a bit more daylight between us and the rest of the Spl. Warburton has done a great job so far and I think youz will do well but to refer to us as woeful I'm guessing based on what was a tricky European tie across the globe whilst in our pre season, against imo a decent team well into their season is a bit blue tinted! And unless I'm missing something if we have no stars in our team I'd be interested in what stars you have in yours.

10 Aug 2016 13:09:16
Clubdeck Kiernan's positional sense was woeful again last nignt. His passing from the back wasnt much better. I'll grant you thay he won some balls in the air that were straight down the middle to McAllister but when they were running at our defence (which wasnt often) he was terrible. Oh and he did have a nice sliding tackle at the touchline. after having given the ball away in the first place.

10 Aug 2016 13:15:22
So you agree with me that Celtic have had to buck up their ideas, was that not what I said all along? You are confusing yourself too easily. I didn't say we had any stars in our team, but hopefully there are some who will go onto to better things and bring some good money in at some point. Celtic are woeful, in my opinion, based on last few seasons, but I also said they are currently the top team in Scotland. That is not much to boast about mind.

10 Aug 2016 13:15:36
Tompo you already lost to us before we returned to the top flight. Or have you forgotten? So how would it be unacceptable to lose again this season?

10 Aug 2016 13:33:23
Got to laff guys you are definitely entertaining.
Some of the quotes are amazing on here, like celtic are woeful rubbish, and nothing to worry about.
Also they beat teams no one has heard of, well I sure Astanna have never heard of Peterhead lol.
When will you LEARN, you beat a team like Peterhead and all of a sudden you are great again, its side splitting stuff.
I would really like to know when u guys will talk from a football perspective because all u ever do is talk from a rangers perspective (which is understandable at times, but all the time? )
You don't even realise what u are saying when u say celtic are crap, because if that's the truth then rangers are beyond crap lol.
Have a bit of perspective guys and be honest with yourselves for a change, if u were on the celtic page last season most if not all were saying the football was crap and we were a poor team.
At least we were honest with ourselves and said so, we are an improving team now and we will get better I expect but we are not shouting from the rooftops how good we are, we will wait for results to prove that.
I expect u guys to do the same before u tell the world u are the Barcelona of Scotland lol.

10 Aug 2016 13:42:00
We're the Real Madrid of Scotland rayman. don't see us getting pumped 4-0 off Liverpool ha.

10 Aug 2016 13:45:47
Kfraser. do you only think it's fair to start the guys that got us promoted back to the premiership?

10 Aug 2016 13:50:18
I don't think we will be that bad again this season the middle of the park for me was terrible and we couldn't finish our dinner and the defence was non existant.
I think it may take another two games three games tops before you see us getting up to speed with the spl.

as bad a result that was against one of the relegation favourites I don't see it damaging our title hopes too muach as we will beat selik again on September 10th.

10 Aug 2016 14:02:11
James it's the first game of the season under a sell out ibrox. We have played nobodies in the cups and 2 friendlies against a nobody team and Burnley. Look at the bigger picture, if we won 2-1 would the players be getting the same abuse? I agree we need to tighten up and be more clinical in front of goal but it will come. I have 100% faith in this team, find the right balance and we will be running celtic close.

10 Aug 2016 14:19:58
From rayman 99

'I would really like to know when u guys will talk from a football perspective because all u ever do is talk from a rangers perspective (which is understandable at times, but all the time? ) '

Strange one that, people talking about Rangers on a Rangers page.

10 Aug 2016 14:40:02
So Cuillin you are incapable of talking football without blue tinted specs then.

10 Aug 2016 14:48:29
Rayman we're rangers fans on a rangers page talking about rangers, your a celtic fan on a rangers page talking about rangers. What's more side splitting?

We can only play what is in front of us.

10 Aug 2016 15:15:43
well said clubdeck06 as usual its all about the rangers and not just with our own support but theirs aswell.

I do agree with what u said in reply to my post clubdeck06 we will get better this season, but only once we have a starting 11 decided and hopefully another cb .

I also think that forrester will be a top class player if he can add finishing to his cv as the boy has everything else.

anyone who thinks we should sell any of our top players for 1 mill is off their rocker. once we win the title back these guys will be worth 10 times that, players like tav McKay forrester rossiter they will be worth an absolute fortune.

10 Aug 2016 15:18:55
Well said clubdeck06.let the obsessed be obsessed.

10 Aug 2016 16:39:05
Aslong as we're all pulling in the one direction James we will get there. 4 years ago we nearly lost everything so I'm thankful to walk back into ibrox, hear the music and watch my team emerge from the tunnel.

My post refers to all the fans expecting us to be world beaters within a few games. There's plenty of time to become champions again, the feeling on that day will be unbelievable.

I hope there's another one or 2 marquee signings.

10 Aug 2016 16:58:21
Clubdeck and Bluedie I'll think you'll find that my original post, along with raymans, was after several references towards Celtic so rap the obsessed nonsense.

Cullin not confused at all I think anyone can see we are adding strength with Rangers now in the Spl. It would be daft to suggest that our biggest rival now competing in the same league would not influence that. Although not for that purpose alone! Regardless of rangers, celtics European showings have not been acceptable, our football was rotten last year (s) and as a result of that even lost to you guys in a one off cup game as you referenced.

Change would of happened regardless!

I think you referring to us as woeful but still best team in Scotland! As rayman mentioned. what does that make your lot? And going by some of your other posts oozing confidence about winning the league it leaves me extremely baffled on how you perceive me as the confused one in this friendly debate!?

As I said think you will do well and are going in right direction but will not lose sleep until you prove it in top league which as we stand you certainly haven't yet.

10 Aug 2016 17:16:17
As I said clubdeck, its all about what your going to do, NOT what you have done.

10 Aug 2016 18:18:03
Let's face it! It's just drivel when the obsessed get involved in our beautiful blue tinted world.

10 Aug 2016 19:13:02
Rayman the minute a season start it's "what your going to do, not what you have done" the same for you's as it is for us. You's have done nothing in the last 4 seasons anyway. Won a one horse donkey race against Aberdeen, it's as impressive as us winning against Hibs last year (which is not very) . The fact you's done it in front of a regular attendance of under 20k shows how much it meant. How you's never won a treble in that time is embarrassing with your resources to be honest.
In my opinion you's have spent over £5m in fees for worse players than what we have got in for free, simply to appease your fans. Sinclairs been a turkey for years, every football fan knows that, and for nearly £4m is Nuts.
If we win the league this year it will be with the cheapest budget ever to do it, and it will be 10x as sweet because it will destroy you's.

10 Aug 2016 19:15:08
Wow Tompo88, you have issues loon. Stop assuming things, me saying Celtic are woeful is my opinion, they are. Rangers have an excuse for our current level, yours has been arrogance. Scottish football in general is absolutely atrocious. You are being a wee bit precious. And as for my comments 'oozing confidence about winning the league', please point them out. I posted only the other day that people should lower their expectations and look at qualifying for Europe this season. I have absolutely no recollection of saying we will definitely win the league, that would be arrogant. My normal mantra is 'time will tell'

In saying that, I do say a lot of things 'tongue in cheek', if you are unable to differentiate that is not my problem. It's only a poxy game after all, not real sport like shinty.

10 Aug 2016 21:26:56
I'm just glad my comment regarding rangers got celtic fans involved. I'm sure your watching your team on bt sports or hooked onto sports devil watching the rangers under 20s.

Rayman and tompo the comments are hilarious, this is a rangers banter page, try and not bite. This is a new season and a new rangers, we are coming.

10 Aug 2016 15:41:09
It was only Peterhead but still a good win and display, I recall a certain team only beating E Kilbride 2-0 and it didn't stop them winning the league.

11 Aug 2016 01:38:00
This is what I love about uz Cullin. You say since rangers, let's say went away for a while, that the rest of Scottish football has been pish! Your completely correct! If you go to Spain and take Barcelona out the league what's left? Germany take Bayern out. what's left?

The issue that you and several fans forget is that it wasn't Celtic, Aberdeen or eve.

11 Aug 2016 01:41:50
Even Dundee Utd that put you down. It was your club! And your moaning about how bad Scottish football has become, yet forget that its not Celtics fault how your club operated!

11 Aug 2016 15:04:16
Did I hit a nerve recbob or just the TRUTH.
"Celtic have done nothing the last 4 years" PRICLESS.
History books will say otherwise. Can I ask what you have done the last 4 years?
You cudnt even win the Challenge cup first 3 times, u cudnt win the championship at first time of trying.
Yes we have been getting gubbed in Europe but you have been getting gubbed in the challenge cup and championship it tells its own story.

10 Aug 2016 09:33:24
Who is this Fanni we have been linked with today?

10 Aug 2016 09:55:30
He is a French right back who is 34 years old. To be fair to him he was a decent player but we have no need for another right back. As every one knows on here we need a cb and a striker not another rb.

10 Aug 2016 10:36:53
No truth in this apparently.

10 Aug 2016 11:14:02
Fanni can and has played just as much CB as he has RB through his career, he is a big unit.

10 Aug 2016 11:22:20
Celtic have no room for him as they have a full team of them already.

10 Aug 2016 19:13:14
He can play CB and DM as well, so could cover a few positions .

Good win last night. That's five League Cup games played and the score is 15-0! Forget the Burnley friendly that was just that, a friendly. We should have beaten Hamilton but I think last night showed that some who started against Hamilton should not start against Dundee. My team v Dundee now would be:
Gilks; Hodson, Hill, Kiernan, Wallace; Rossiter, Barton, Holt; O'Halloran, Dodoo, Mackay. Forrester, Kranjcar and Tav are good subs to have on the bench! Maybe Clint Hill is the new striker we've been looking for lol!

10 Aug 2016 10:15:53
Doiger, I thought Kranjcar was class last night, scored a beauty and great deliveries from corners, when we took the three boys off we never had same control or momentum. They never done anything attacking wise so Hill was not tested and although he is a good player he does lack pace. Gilks never had a save to make so not getting your reasoning for giving him the nod over Foderingham! Hudson done OK but never seen anything to say he must replace Tavs. I agree that Holt is a possible shout as he is dynamic and gives more energy going forward but if he plays I think it will be Rossitor on the bench and Barton back in holding role. O'Halloran must play because his pace causes defenders real problems. Tricky decisions for Mr Warburton for sure.

10 Aug 2016 10:20:18
Would have harry on for holt but exact same otherwise.

10 Aug 2016 10:48:23
Tav is and will be the 1st choice RB, people need to get over this fact.

10 Aug 2016 10:52:19
Lol u play a lower league team and win and u r back to being world beaters again. In competitive games your last 15 you have only won 7.

10 Aug 2016 10:56:20
Agree with most of your team selection, personally i would drop Barrie for Forrester, Barrie has had something lacking the last couple of games and Forrester looks a lot more hungrier and merits a starting spot. What i think will be fielded on Saturday is (against my own opinion) : Foderingham, tavernier, Hill, Kiernan, Wallace, Barton, Rossiter, Halliday, O'Halloran, Miller, Mckay.

10 Aug 2016 11:23:46
pokerman, are you seriously keeping tabs on opposing teams's form? How sad. You have gone to the effort of checking that out, lol.

10 Aug 2016 13:36:40
Cuillan that's what football fans do, they always check out the opposition. I bet u always know the celtic score when they play or are u just too busy callin them fannies lol.

10 Aug 2016 14:01:39
I wouldn't play halliday before holt, my team would be ;
wes, tav, hill, Wilson, Wallace,
rossiter
holt forrester

moh McKay
dodooooooo!

bring on niko when teams are a bit tired and he will rip them apart .
barton for me is a good player but yet to do anything that makes him an automatic pic for me all three of that midfield I put in there are workhorses with really good talent
I know some people think forrester is a wide player but I think he does well in the middle aswell plus this frees up space for moh with his pace on the right.
just my opinion what u guys think.

10 Aug 2016 15:53:32
Nah James, not for me. Hill + Wilson? No.

No Barton? No

Barton is easily one of our best players now no doubt about it.

10 Aug 2016 19:24:17
Just wanted to post this BUT when Crooks comes in whose to say he will be the answer to our CB position? Just saying but we just don't know? The answer could be already here let's wait and see Bears u never know.

10 Aug 2016 19:52:14
Could n right andy1872 but i think he looks to good a player to be a cb. let's get a proper no nonsense cb in ther.

10 Aug 2016 08:34:44
Ha ha hibs try next season.

10 Aug 2016 17:39:04
did they not pump you in the cup a few months back?

10 Aug 2016 19:14:22
Did we not pump you.

10 Aug 2016 05:15:54
Thinking for the future, a couple of young CD at Colchester Tom Easton 24 and Alex Wynter 22, highly thought of down south. Could get them both for less than 250k, if Clint Hill is there to help the young players, would be an idea and if they progress, either keep them or can be sold back to premier or championship club in 2 or 3 years. Thoughts from fellow bears.

09 Aug 2016 21:58:47
Who's going to give me a decent report on tonight's game. Sounds like Rossiter and Dodoo played well. Can't believe we scored from a corner too lol.

10 Aug 2016 04:47:28
2 corners 😬.

10 Aug 2016 09:02:00
Blueshaun I was at the game and what stuck out for me most I that Rossiter looks far better than Barton in the DM role . Plenty of energy and his closing down was excellent . Niko looked better with Barton closer to him and Barton also looked better slightly further forward . Obviously the opposition wasn't that great but what we did we did well . For me I'd play the team we had out against Dundee as even the defence looked more stable with Rossiters energy sitting in front of them . Niko looked as if he was interested at least last night and we also scored twice from corners when we put the ball in the box .

10 Aug 2016 18:37:48
Just putting this out there but where is Cuellar playing at the moment, Villa?

10 Aug 2016 19:23:00
I was at the game last night and playing rossiter is like having 3 extra players. he was everywhere. barton had more influence on the game further up the park. ohalloran is a must start for me. another controversial start would be forester for McKay.

What I noticed last night, in the first half anyway, was we got in behind them very easy. If dodoo took his chances in the first half he would have had 3or 4.im still not convinced about hill. Against a really quick forward I think he would struggle but he did well last night so all in all a lot of positives from last night.
