As i posted on Wednesday, big Beattie has signed for StJohnstone, despite a last minute bid from Barnsley in the Championship where he could have doubled his money.
Proves it was never about dosh, as he is on 2k+ small appearance at saints.
He would have done us a proper turn, and would have played for peanuts.
I don't get this one at all.

When Kyle,who i think is a big lump of wood,signed he was never getting a deal.Beattie or Kyle,Beattie all day for me.

Think we have enough upfront, would be surprised if any other center forwards are bought before close of window

alot of people on this site seem to be worried that we are over spending on wages and how we can make the club profitable when we are dishing out wages willy nilly however the news that mike ashley is willing to invest has to be seen as good news as these people will want a return on their money which they wont get if we are pissing money up against the wall. I for one am cinfident that the club is being run in a manner that it should have always been run....manageable!!watp

Ashley is interested in selling a £5 jersey to nuppties for £50. You know what they say about fools and money.

ok - if money WASN'T the problem, and Ally wanted Beattie, and Beattie wanted to sign, what criteria did Green use to knock the deal on the head ?
Can't be fitness, because Kyle is no fitter than a cart horse.

Beattie is a bluenose and would gladly have pulled on the jersey with pride, more than can be said about some that jumped ship.

Just have to wonder where was the billionaires who want to invest in rangers 3 months ago. If they stepped up then the old rangers could have been saved history in tact and still in the Spl. Was greens intention from the beggining to let rangers die with the most important thing t(the clubs history). Did he do enough?

Our History is Intact, the whole 140 years of it, the PLC went but the Football Club that was there before the PLC/Ltd, has never gone, only one set of fans say otherwise

Why take on a club saddled in debt with the tax case hanging over them? These are businessmen, not Rangers men. Now we are a club valued a lot cheaper than most big clubs, with a no debt (other than to Charles Green), a huge fan base and the potential to be playing European football within 5 years. That's an attractive investment, before we were only ever going to be a money pit. These guys are where they are today because of making shrewd investments and wise choices, that's why they're billionaires. As much as I'd of loved for someone to have bought us prior to administration, we needed a clean slate or someone with money to throw away.

So presumably Sir Wattie of Cardigan, Charles Green, Andy Goram etc are all now Celtic fans, since they said liquidation would mean the end of the old club's history. Please get over the denial phase and move on.

A football club is an incorporated company!
Liquidation is of the football club and the company at the same time. You cannot separate this single entity into two entities.
Green is sticking his neck out saying its the same club. He's going to get put right on that count by the authorities, they are not turning a blind eye to this issue.
Look to the future and move on.

@ 5 when oldco becomes newco all debts die, but this is football not business and scotland style. To have the history we take the debt. But need i say not HMRC stuff.

This will have been discussed and agreed. Maybe our debt to Scottish football and Uefa is the next 3 years.

One question: why are Celtic fans so obsessed with Rangers, Rangers fans, Rangers transfers, Rangers matches, Rangers results, Rangers financies, Rangers board, Rangers players, Rangers anything, all things Rangers? :-/ J

Up until Wednesday night many Rangers fans were obsessed with Celtic's chances in the CL. Celtic fans are probably interested in the demise of their rivals as every other fan in Scotland is with the demise of one of the biggest clubs. You would be if it was Celtic now in the third division.

They are all Gers in disguise :) A lot of Gers didn't even know they were playing Helsinki on Wednesday or whatever day it was until they came on Rangers forums boasting.

Why are Rangers fans and management so obsessed with every SPL attendance and mentioning Celtic in every interview they have ?

Well the disgraced former Rangers FC blithely striding right into oblivion and then an apology of a phoenix club having to crawl back into the top flight of Scottish Football from the basement is, arguably, the biggest story in Scottish Football 45 years. Don't be surprised if there's a few rubbernecks.

Edu is paid by adidas and makes more on his web sites than most. I think you will find it does not matter to Rangers if he stays or goes, apart from a small fee. It suits his profile at the moment. Also let us concentrate on the team on the park and not all the rumours.

Lets face it, Edu has been rank for Rangers. Same as Lafferty, the two of them only managed about 20 good games between them. When your fans cant stand you it is clear you are not very good.
