The Daily Express would like to apologise
to all it's readers for the typing mistake
in today's headline "Coisty targets Fauer"
it of course should have read...
COISTY TARGETS FAILURE!

Aye the same as " lennon targets anybody that wants to come " ohhh bangura we love you ...... or is that his brother...........

Cheap, very cheap. Surely you can do better than that, maybe not. You really need to get a life and get over your unhealthy fixation with the top team in Scotland WATP

Top team in Scotland? Playing in the FOURTH tier? ....my god you lot are seriously deluded, but amusing. :)

Would happily see goian go ! With edmilson in and perry to come back from injury i feel the defence will be fine, also dont think missing out on craig beattie is a bad thing the guy is constantly injured and with little mcculloch sandaza kyle ( also shiels can play up top) i dont see the need for beattie either ! If we could find a decent winger to compete n and help the younger boys and while barrie mckay looks promosing hes got to hit the gym these leagues are rough and he will need to prepare for that

As i posted on Wednesday, big Beattie has signed for StJohnstone, despite a last minute bid from Barnsley in the Championship where he could have doubled his money.
Proves it was never about dosh, as he is on 2k+ small appearance at saints.
He would have done us a proper turn, and would have played for peanuts.
I don't get this one at all.

Believable11 Unbelievable7

When Kyle, who i think is a big lump of wood, signed he was never getting a deal.Beattie or Kyle,Beattie all day for me.

Agree11 Disagree2

Think we have enough upfront, would be surprised if any other center forwards are bought before close of window

Right lads where does everyone stand with the arguments about developing youth v signing ready made players?

I firmly believe the current squad have more than enough experience to see us through to division 1. Alexander, Broadfoot, Wallace, Black, Shields, McCulloch, Sandaza, Emilson and to a certain extent Hutton, Perry and Little all have expierence at SPL level and have been in or around the first team for a while now. So for me it would be sensible to end the signings right here. We have youngsters at the club in Cole, Hegarty, McKay, McLeod, Mitchell, Naismith and Hemmings (to come back from injury) who will be looking to stake a claim for to be afirst team regulars, and why not? We have 3 seasons to develop these lads, with the experienced lads already at the club it eases the pressures on these young guys. I've seen a lot of counter arguments saying "you can't expect these youngsters to play 20/30 games a season"....Why can't we expect this? How long do we class them as youngsters/prospects? Ally and the coaching staff must focus on bringing these lads on now, we are in an ideal position to encourage them and hopefully in 3 years we can have 2/3 really good players who have established themselves at a lower level but are eager to step up to SPL level.

Thoughts??

J1985

Believable11 Unbelievable9

This is the perfect time for you to bring the young players through, like you say, your team as it is should be good enough for the 3rd & 2nd divisions, so give the young boys a chance.

put it this way, what will they be thinking when they can't even get a game in the 3rd division....what hope have they got of being picked when you start moving up the leagues?

taco

Agree8 Disagree2

Good points.Do Ajax think players are two young at Twenty? If a player has came through Murray park since twelve, and is not ready to stake a claim by nineteen, questions must be asked about the coaching.

Agree8 Disagree1

OP it should not be one v the other, it should be a balanced mixture with one complementing the other,
thats my thoughts anyway

JG

Agree3 Disagree1

Agree with op, but remember ally learned from the master of playing experience over youth, mr smith.

so even though i think the youth should get their chance i am affraid i dont think they will!!

25000 season tickets sold great news, need others to step up to the plate and take the total up this is the time for all true blues to rise to the challenges we face, get behind the club,we might have. Been wounded but we are alive and kicking let's rise up from the ashes

Believable19 Unbelievable12

Just like a phoenix? HMRC might have something to say... lol

Agree10 Disagree11

Rangers would actually take in more money with people all paying for single matches

Agree8 Disagree1

Public sale not till Tuesday looking for 5 for me and my mates I'm sure the figure will rise quite significantly

Agree2 Disagree3

No 1 HMRC have washed there hands of Rangers, and as a after point strong rumours now pointing to hrmc losing ebt tax case appeal

Agree7 Disagree5

@2 yes they would but for planning, season tickets lets us know what we have to work with for the season, individual ticket numbers can and do fluctuate especially if games are switched around continously for no apparent reason

JG

Agree2 Disagree0

Let me assure my misinformed contemporary above of two things: HMRC have most definitely NOT washed their hands of oldco Rangers- there is much MUCH more to come on that one. Secondly, I believe that the evidence of side letters to employees over the use of EBTs is what is killing Rangers' appeal against the original ruling. This is far from finished, I'm afraid.

alot of people on this site seem to be worried that we are over spending on wages and how we can make the club profitable when we are dishing out wages willy nilly however the news that mike ashley is willing to invest has to be seen as good news as these people will want a return on their money which they wont get if we are pissing money up against the wall. I for one am cinfident that the club is being run in a manner that it should have always been run....manageable!!watp

Believable14 Unbelievable8

Ashley is interested in selling a £5 jersey to nuppties for £50. You know what they say about fools and money.

Glasgow derbies v Queens Park could be the highlight , 2 games at Hampden !!

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Aug 2012 12:56:19
Fact- all celtic fans are refusing to admit we are still the same Rangers and want to tell us we have no history. If we draw Celtic at parkhead in the cup who would bet against a full house , something iam sure would not be the case if septic were playing any other 3rd division side.

Believable20 Unbelievable14

Get over it accept it and get on with it, most rangers fans have

Agree9 Disagree8

OK. So you are the same Rangers? OK, I will go with that. Now just pay your bills. And we can all carry on as before. Simples?

Agree6 Disagree2

FACT - I'm a Celtic fan. FACT - I don't think you should lose your history. FACT - Your statement that ALL Celtic fans think you are a new club and should lose your history is therefore wrong. However if you have the history and aren't a new club then you have the two contracts debate ...FACT!
Gaz

Agree2 Disagree3

The thing is though .... Celtic will never be in Division 3 my man ... so you'll never be able to compare .

Agree6 Disagree4

In responce to your question, if and when we draw a spl team away, will we go and give them ticket money, I said then and I say no we should boycot all spl teams. LEST WE FORGET!

Agree3 Disagree2

No3 Gaz, and that's what we will do,think you will find all that Rangers want is a truly neutral panel, not a company who also is on the pay list of Celtic, who's chairmans daughter works for, who has a partner who was well up in the CST,who also worked for Lloyds in a position at Ibrox when they were over seeing things, just too many conflicting things, why not a company from down south with no ties to any Scottish football club or is that too simple

Agree1 Disagree0

"The thing is though .... Celtic will never be in Division 3 my man ... so you'll never be able to compare"

ok - if money WASN'T the problem, and Ally wanted Beattie, and Beattie wanted to sign, what criteria did Green use to knock the deal on the head ?
Can't be fitness, because Kyle is no fitter than a cart horse.
Sounds a bit like Whyte's negotiating style. You cant have him Ally " because I said so !! "

Beattie is a bluenose and would gladly have pulled on the jersey with pride, more than can be said about some that jumped ship.

Believable13 Unbelievable12

Why is Ally endorsing Green if that was the case?

Agree9 Disagree6

What a lit of sh*t this post is. No surprise you didn't leave a name.

Willie wonka

Ally must have told Green about Beatts injury history because Green wouldnt have had a clue something far wrong here Beattie was used big time and would have came for a third of wot black is on its a real strange one he trained twice and was flying.

10 Aug 2012 12:05:18
Just a thought; does Mr Green's "we'll have lots of billionaires investing in the next few weeks" musings give us an indication that he needs some impetus in shifting more season tickets? I don't know... However, all he has to do is be honest with the fans and produce paperwork with named investors, how much they're investing, and a proper, sustainable plan. Why is no one asking him for any of this?

Believable12 Unbelievable3

No it means he thinks there will be billionaires investing soon.

Agree3 Disagree3

Shame the billionaires weren't around in February

Agree6 Disagree1

Green "has to be honest" you having a laugh.

Agree7 Disagree0

3 billionaires , he has named 1 already, why should the man divulge information until the deals have been done, seems to be a lot of negative talk coming out, Rangers are back accept it move on and get back to your own clubs forum and support them

Agree3 Disagree2

Re: reply number 4 - head in the sand. Do you walk around with a finger in each ear shouting "la,la,la,la...". Why are you so afraid of questioning people's motives? Maybe if you asked more questions your club would still be alive.

Just have to wonder where was the billionaires who want to invest in rangers 3 months ago. If they stepped up then the old rangers could have been saved history in tact and still in the Spl. Was greens intention from the beggining to let rangers die with the most important thing t(the clubs history). Did he do enough?

Believable10 Unbelievable16

For god sake stop all these negatives where were all the rich rangers men did they do enough at least he stepped in and for that he deserves our support so what if he makes a few bob one name i will give you is fergus mcCann he came in stayed a few years made his money and left so im happy for mr green to do the same i for one bought my school uniform now i want to wear it all the way back to the top flight so now either put up or shut up please come on the gers good luck tomorrow and for rest of season

Agree9 Disagree4

Our History is Intact, the whole 140 years of it, the PLC went but the Football Club that was there before the PLC/Ltd, has never gone, only one set of fans say otherwise

BF

Agree11 Disagree10

Why take on a club saddled in debt with the tax case hanging over them? These are businessmen, not Rangers men. Now we are a club valued a lot cheaper than most big clubs, with a no debt (other than to Charles Green), a huge fan base and the potential to be playing European football within 5 years. That's an attractive investment, before we were only ever going to be a money pit. These guys are where they are today because of making shrewd investments and wise choices, that's why they're billionaires. As much as I'd of loved for someone to have bought us prior to administration, we needed a clean slate or someone with money to throw away.

Grant

Agree2 Disagree2

@3: history of the oldco is intact but stops with liquidation. Check with UEFA.

And I'm not a Celtic fan.

Agree9 Disagree7

So presumably Sir Wattie of Cardigan, Charles Green, Andy Goram etc are all now Celtic fans, since they said liquidation would mean the end of the old club's history. Please get over the denial phase and move on.

Agree7 Disagree2

A football club is an incorporated company!
Liquidation is of the football club and the company at the same time. You cannot separate this single entity into two entities.
Green is sticking his neck out saying its the same club. He's going to get put right on that count by the authorities, they are not turning a blind eye to this issue.
Look to the future and move on.

Agree3 Disagree1

@ 5 when oldco becomes newco all debts die, but this is football not business and scotland style. To have the history we take the debt. But need i say not HMRC stuff.

This will have been discussed and agreed. Maybe our debt to Scottish football and Uefa is the next 3 years.

But go away and let us enjoy the ride. What a blast tuesday was.

Thats 2 teams from a divison above us we have beaten and were only 2 weeks old

William

Agree0 Disagree1

Poster 8 are you serious or just a consumate p*$$ taker ?

Agree0 Disagree0

@7. The club existed before the company and continues to exist still after the company has gone as evidenced by Tuesday. You get over it. Companies are liquidated, clubs are not. It really is quite simple.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Aug 2012 09:46:15
acording to beattie mr green pulled the plug on his deal even tho mccoist wanted him and it was not because of wages i say to mr green give mccoist the players he wants whyte done this last season interfeared and said u aint singing these players but u can have these out ma list green must give mccoist the backing and let him decide who he brings in

Believable5 Unbelievable6

He wouldn't take a pay if you play deal, with his history of injuries, that was the only offer worth offering him

I hope no Celtic fans paid to watch the game on premier sports last night. After the slagging of they have given our club about going in to administration, not paying creditors ect to then have them paying a company that was born from setanta's demise, well wouldn't that look a bit two faced? After all think of their poor creditors.

Blueice

Believable10 Unbelievable10

@op Yes thanks for your congratulations on the win. You've got to dig SO deep to find something to say.Why bother?Shows how warped your thoughts are.

I see a lot of bears gloating at
Dundee United's european exit and
asking about Scotland's coefficient now?
Well St Johnstone, Dundee United in
gaining draws earned 1 co efficient point
each, Celtic winning home/away earned
4 coefficient points, if they win next
round and get to group stages they
earn I think an extra 2 coefficient points
plus whatever points they pick up in
group stages, so not all doom and gloom.
If The Rangers fans are worried about
Scottish football, tomorrow is their chance
to support Sell Out Saturday, those
unable to go to Peterhead, can go

One question: why are Celtic fans so obsessed with Rangers, Rangers fans, Rangers transfers, Rangers matches, Rangers results, Rangers financies, Rangers board, Rangers players, Rangers anything, all things Rangers? :-/ J

Believable24 Unbelievable7

Up until Wednesday night many Rangers fans were obsessed with Celtic's chances in the CL. Celtic fans are probably interested in the demise of their rivals as every other fan in Scotland is with the demise of one of the biggest clubs. You would be if it was Celtic now in the third division.

Agree5 Disagree11

They are all Gers in disguise :) A lot of Gers didn't even know they were playing Helsinki on Wednesday or whatever day it was until they came on Rangers forums boasting.

Agree4 Disagree3

Because its hilarious.
I heard Rangers are playing at the Fringe! (and not just in football).

Agree7 Disagree2

Why are Rangers fans and management so obsessed with every SPL attendance and mentioning Celtic in every interview they have ?

Agree8 Disagree10

Well the disgraced former Rangers FC blithely striding right into oblivion and then an apology of a phoenix club having to crawl back into the top flight of Scottish Football from the basement is, arguably, the biggest story in Scottish Football 45 years. Don't be surprised if there's a few rubbernecks.

Maybe if you'd been as obssessed about the crooks running your club in recent times you wouldnae even have to ask that question now.

Good or bad it's about brining in money my only concern is Ashley would want to sell our shirts and change over to puma any thoughts ed ?
The Airport Bear

Believable4 Unbelievable12

Would be quite good changing to puma will make the tops alot nicer

Agree3 Disagree4

Puma strips are good, better than the cheap homemade ones under the Murray era anyway

Agree3 Disagree2

His reported stake would not allow for a name change, unless Green is really desperate for cash. With no euro football for three years there wont be a queue of companies wanting to pay for naming rights.

It's not going to happen, half the country will not buy his products.

Agree3 Disagree1

A wee reality check ! " who were the last SCOTTISH TEAM " to reach a European cup final in the last 5 years ? Not bad for a third div team ...

It is an issue if the clubs can meet in competition. That won't be an issue for a few years. Also, think Ashley only linked to a 10% share in Rangers. It's probably not an issue with a minority shareholding.

Edu is paid by adidas and makes more on his web sites than most. I think you will find it does not matter to Rangers if he stays or goes, apart from a small fee. It suits his profile at the moment. Also let us concentrate on the team on the park and not all the rumours.

Lets face it, Edu has been rank for Rangers. Same as Lafferty, the two of them only managed about 20 good games between them. When your fans cant stand you it is clear you are not very good.
