How much is Miller on a week? Caixinha must really think hard about what type of player he can bring in for the same amount i really hope he stays he offers so much on and off pitch. If he needs to cut the squad to bring in his own then Waghorn must be top of the list! i'm unsure about Dodoo and Garner feel they coukd be so so much better playing in a system with 2 up front.

11 Apr 2017 10:53:30
I am confused about the contract situation, is there a chance that they are trying to get Miller to work off the pitch as staff?

I'd much rather keep the guy on the pitch for now and would have extended him by now!

I agree about Dodoo, Garner for me has the effort but seems to be missing something.

In a different formation he might be better, I have seen a few decent headers cleared off the line from Garners attacks so he knows where the goal is.

11 Apr 2017 21:07:14
Garner isn't working out so far. Dodoo has a lot more ability. Waghorn is overweight and off the pace

11 Apr 2017 21:36:59
I think the manager is making Miller sweat so he works his socks off, he's trying to get the very best out him and keep him hungry!

12 Apr 2017 20:56:31
I think Millers the last person in the squad that he would need to make sweat and work hard as its already in Kennys make up. that tactic should be saved for guys like Mckay, MOH, Windass, Forrester

A great win yesterday. 3-0 away to the sheep is great by any standards so why do the negative comments continue? It is interesting that we've kept a clean sheet since Bates and Beerman came in. Garner and Waghorn are useless and Garner is a liability. They are supposed to be strikers but couldn't strike a match between them. Dodoo must now be given a chance and continue to use King Kenny. We've a real chance of a result against the dark side in the cup semi-final. The signs are encouraging even if we do need a clear-out in the summer. Foderingham must be the best shot-stopper in British football right now.

10 Apr 2017 20:51:05
Bates gives me the fear. I don't see anything in him that would say he is going to be a class defender. A good squad player, maybe, but we really have to get a hell of a lot better than him. Beerman on the other hand looks good. Very comfortable on the ball and has loads of pace. Definatley one for the future. I agree Garner is a liability. His antics on Sunday were embarrassing coupled along with his stupidity flying into tackles. Waghorn I think just needs a few goals to settle him. I would definitely keep him but I agree that Dodoo should get a run in the team. We look a more solid team without McKay and I would certainly keep him on the bench against Celtic.

10 Apr 2017 21:54:39
Doiger I would sell Waghorn, Garner and McKay in the summer and use the money to buy two strikers and keep Miller and Dodoo! In midfield hopefully Rossiter and Kranjker can get a good pre season which would be like two new players. I would keep Holt, Windass and sell Halliday and bring in an attacking midfielder and a holding midfielder. We need two quick powerful centre halfs which is priority in my opinion and keep Wilson and Bates as Backup!

10 Apr 2017 21:58:34
You obviously haven't watched the last 2 games if you don't think Bates is a defender. That is all he is! Clint hill should watch him and learn how to command an area, just because he isn't great on the ball doesn't mean he isn't good. You've said Beerman looks good yet do not mention one good thing that will help defensively.

Bates went and challenges for every ball near him came out, was commanding at corners and covered tav easily. People on here couldn't tell a defender if Paulo Maldini kicked there heid in.

10 Apr 2017 22:16:36
He's only young and will hopefully improve but I agree with you bigcol bates makes a lot of mistakes plus he looks slower than a week in jail. In my opinion beerman is probably a class above bates at this minute

11 Apr 2017 10:31:33
Cee, I hate to disagree, didn't see much of the Aberdeen game, but against killie, he spent half the game running away from the ball, the boy was terrified, hopefully he gets over it and settles in but to say he went for every challenge isn't correct.

11 Apr 2017 11:52:19
In fairness to young Bates he has been practically playing 2 positions. Playing CB and covering for Tav at RB every time Tav fails to track back.

11 Apr 2017 12:41:27
Beerman actually sticks with a man, Wallace gets caught out of position every game, not saying Beerman is the finished article but he concentrates on defending and carried out the managers instructions very well against two of the best wingers in the league.

Only negative was the long ball from O'Connor to Logan where he got caught under the ball but he's 18 and relishing the opportunity as he should.

Wallace is and still should be first choice but i've always had reservations about him being club captain - service is second to none as he stuck by us but as far as a vocal point in concerned he's a non entity.

11 Apr 2017 14:39:27
Cee I'm 6ft 4 and I could command an area. i'm trying to give him the benefit of doubt and would assume he was nervous, but all he did was lump it up the park. He could prove me wrong but I doubt it. He looks unsure on the ball whereas beer man looks very comfortable on it. that's my opinion . so we will wait and see.

11 Apr 2017 22:33:06
Yes bad on the ball, he was caught several times and then decided to just clear his lines. At 19 he's played 2 games and has 2 clean sheets. The Aberdeen game was our best defensive performance this season and it isn't a coincidence that hill and Wallace weren't in the team.

10 Apr 2017 10:33:42
just me that thinks danny wilson has turned into a solid centre back in the last 5/ 6 games? other than wes n kenny, he's been one of the best players there in my opinion.

10 Apr 2017 11:17:11
I agree, he was excellent yesterday and by all accounts has been very solid over the last month or so

10 Apr 2017 16:31:17
Always thought there was a footballer inside Danny Wilson - captain material too to be honest. Funny how the improvement has coincided with the absence of Keirnan and the departure of Weir and Warburton. It is sometimes difficult to fathom how crap they were!

10 Apr 2017 19:34:58
Wilson was excellent yesterday. Take the emphasis off playing out from the back and ask our centre halves to purely defend our goal and that's two clean sheets from two and Wilson looking like the player we all thought/ hoped he was. Really positive performance all round yesterday.

10 Apr 2017 19:53:26
I've sad it before that a big part of of awful defence has been Warburtons insistence on playing out from the keeper no matter what.

We do not have technically gifted defenders who are comfortable with the ball at their feet under pressure meaning that mistakes were inevitable.

A more pragmatic approach taking into account the setrengths and weaknesses of the squad is what Pedro seems to have in mind in the short term

10 Apr 2017 20:25:15
Both Wilson and Fotheringham are looking significantly better since Kiernan has been out of the team and Warburton and Weir are gone!

That should be enough to ensure that Kiernan's days at Ibrox are numbered.

10 Apr 2017 20:40:09
Fod has been top class in recent weeks

10 Apr 2017 21:16:40
It takes a lot more than five or six weeks, but he's certainly improving. When I first saw Wilson I thought he had the potential to be an international player for many years. Maybe next season he'll get back to that level.

10 Apr 2017 21:19:52
He always has been, that's why we signed him again from hearts . Just needs the right players around him and Warburtons team style (like many of our players ) just didn't suit him. He'll prove this with regular selection in a settled defence.

10 Apr 2017 21:20:54
I think Wilson has the ability to become a solid CH, regarding Dodoo he IS a good player but not only does he need a decent run but Caixinha needs to play him as part of a front 2 or playing him just behind the CF don't think any of oir plauers could play their best in the 433 systen Warbs played. Having 2 forwards basically hugging the wing with the CF in the middle was ineffective! Playing a 4231 or 4132 even 442 in my opinion suits the players AND it is like starting from scratch again

10 Apr 2017 21:29:32
Couldn't agree more Ritereg. He looked solid alongside Hill earlier in the season then Kiernan came back. Kiernan has made every partner look terrible in my opinion. The guy has no positional sense whatsoever. Always leave his partner exposed.

Played well on wednesday and especially yesterday
