Don't know how much we will get for the qualifier but if we make the europa league group stage but i think they have put the prize money up a bit from last year.
For the 2021–22 season, group stage participation in the Europa League awarded a base fee of about £3M.
A victory in the group pays £535K and a draw £178K. Also, each group winner earns £935K and each runner-up £468K.
Reaching the knock-out stage triggers additional bonuses: £425K for the round of 32, 1M for the round of 16
plus ticket sales on top for all the home games.

Traore played beside defoe at Portsmouth and said in his opinion he's the best finisher he's ever played with and better than RVP ðŸ‘
What a compliment that is for defoe 👌Thats obviously including every striker traore has played with at arsenal and juventus! Defoe is some finisher right enough i agree and have always rated the wee man very highly indeed 👌Some of the goals he's even scored for us, even in his late 30's now, have been truly outstanding and a very high quality,
even though he's a sub most of the time for us 👌🇬🇧I would love defoe to get another playing contract with us for another year, with a striker's coaching job thrown in ðŸ™
I still think if called upon he could do a job in scottish football for us and any future young striker we sign, would benefit greatly, by having defoe as their striker coach 👠Obviously on reduced terms because of his reduced playing time now!

I'd like Defoe and Davis to get another one year contract. Both are pure class. Signing somebody like Moult or Dykes would be a backward step and this is from somebody who at one time thought signing Shankland would be a good idea! We have Itten, Roofe and Defoe. I'm sure Gerrard will identify another striker if Morelos leaves.

would like to see greg stewart get some time he always gives his best for the team only bad performance was in the europa league when he played as a striker other than that he has always done good

Your right. I don’t think Stewart has let himself down much but let’s be honest, he’s nowhere near the team cause he isn’t good enough. I liked the look of Edmundson but he’s not had much game time and now maybe messed things up with the C.V. thing.
I’d sell Stewart and Ed in jan tbh. Katic will be back soon and he’s ahead of Ed.

I rate Stewart aswell mate but he’s better moving on he isn’t going to be given a chance same with Jones and barker. Move them on as they obv aren’t upto gerrards standards so move on and bring in 1 player that will push Kent properly with the saved wages.
Edmundson got a 7 game ban ( I think) so not sure when that would run out.

Greg stewart isn't close to good enough, miles behind the others and way down the pecking order. If katic gets fit that will be edmundson down to 5th choice cb, I'd imagine rangers may look to loan him out january.

A lot of these fringe players will be needed next year when suspensions, challenge/ injury or tiredness take account
Hopefully we get most games over the line in first sixty minutes then push these guys on for the last thirty.

I expect Stewart, Jones and Edmundson to be shipped out in January, still leaving us with a first team squad of about 23. It will also offer a chink of light to King, Dickson and one or two other kids who are already getting close to the first team. That would be healthy enough to see us through this season and to 55. And Gerrard has said he could bring in one more if the opportunity arises, so maybe something to look forward to?

with jermain defoe not in the europa league squad he needs to come on as a sub every game or 2nd game at least i think
i know we need to get roofe and itten up to speed but need to keep definitely match ready with having 4 strikers he will probs be last one to get minutes
he needs to play tho if you look at his stats 27 goals in 56 games that's almost a goal every 2 games played
and to think most of his appearances have been off the bench so his minutes to goal ratio is the best in the league by far.

another thing i think wee are missing is goals from our cbs i know they are doing there job with the record with no goals conceded but i hope they score more this season
if you look at celtic there cb do score a lot sometimes they win 1-0 and its because of that they can't break down teams because its every man behind the ball but they score from a corner and get the 3 points and over the last few years our cb have not done this i think big katic has the most goals out of our current cbs.

I would certainly prefer Jones to Barker, I just don't understand why Barker is in the squad. He provides absolutely nothing. If we are not going to go out and acquire a quality right winger then we should certainly give Jones a chance to prove himself.

Barker is apparently once of the best of not the best during training matches. He is a wide player who like most is all about confidence. He’s never really had a proper run of games, if he gets 5-10 starts in a row then I will make up my mind.
I admit he’s been more poor than good but if Gerrard and Beale rate him let’s just see if he can transfer his training form into matches.
I would like to keep Jones though regardless I think he’s a great asset from bench in particular and good to have in squad, I think it’s more to do with perceived attitude that has limited his game time.

Neither balogun nor helander are better long term prospects than Katie, I may be biased as I had 40/ 1 on him scoring the last goal in the old firm game but as balogun is 32 and a stop gap basically I think Katic will be top class eventually.

We won't spend 7-8m on one player because if he flops it would be too much of a loss if we are looking for players in that price range it would be a loan with an option to buy.

I made a post about this a few days ago defoe has scored a goal every 2.1 games since he has been at rangers and if you if u take into account most of his appearances are off the bench getting 20-30 mins a game
he must have the best goal to mins ratio in the spfl so even if he does only play 60 mins a week as long as he is banging the goals in does it matter what he is on a week.
