Depressing reading on here. I am still very optomistic for this season and think with a few of the expected outgoings it will allow us to complete the business that PC insinuated was ready to be done. We have done well so far bringing the wages and average age down for the squad so far. Now its time to improve the squad with beter quality experienced players than the exisitng.
On a side note, pre season games mean nothing. But people being hung up on that being an u23 side we played against, their starting 11 cost more that EUR400M to put together. I don't think we have spent that on transfers in our whole existance. that's the reality and the difference.

We play Hearts in two weeks time, that will be a real tough opener.
Not entirely happy with how things are looking atm, in an ideal world al those we want rid of would be gone and new blood brought in but time is marching on.

Anyone know the full squad list that's went to the Netherlands. Curious what youngsters have been taken and who can hopefully make the breakthrough this year.
Hope we can see a bit more of the likes of Rice, Stevens and Lovelace. Also think a loan move for King, Fraser, Devine and Lowry would really benefit them, and depending on signings possibly Mcausland aswell.

Crazy the people saying they would want Shankland over this guy. Shankland can't get a game for Scotland, this guy has 40 caps for Holland. Yes not been great for Burnley or Man Utd, but to say he isn't tried and tested in the SPFL so we shouldn't go for him is madness.

Hope we stay clear of that angel torres, quick look on Transfermarkt and turns out he is on a suspended setence for rape and common asault and has been suspended by his current club.

Lyall Cameron could be a useful signing but I am hoping Bailey Rice can kick on and get some playing time this season, so would rather promote from within for squad players.

Great post. Things are obviously not going as quickly as we like but I see some extremely positive changes. Might not be good enough to win the league or qualify for the Champos league this year, but if we have got rid of the high waged players who contribute little, and have added young hungry talent then it sets us up for success in the future. I will take a full season of transition apposed to kicking the bucket further down the road and pout us in an even weaker financial position.
Sadly this is the window we should have had after the Europa league run when all our players were at their highest value.

Boys 20 years old and came in for a pittance. Exactly the market we should be looking at for our player trading model. Deserves time before our fans turn on him. He was also up against Diallo who looks like he is finally fulfilling his potential and fee. Jefte will be fine against the majority of SPFL players.
