Seen a rumour that Rennes in France are possibly interested in Morelos. I know not everyone is a fan of him but, personally I think he's a cracking player who will just keep getting better. I'd like us to keep him for this season and maybe sell next summer.
Whats everone's thoughts?

Yogibear1972

1.) 27 Jun 2020 21:05:55
Keep him.

2.) 27 Jun 2020 21:21:35
He ain’t going to Rennes mate that’s for sure.
I would like to keep him but if not we need a great replacement and not the names mentioned on here Dykes cosgrove etc. as they are good back up but not good enough to be main striker.

3.) 27 Jun 2020 21:37:08
i would prefer to keep him. But if a club comes in with good offer were not in a great position to be turning it away unfortunately.

4.) 27 Jun 2020 22:41:33
I say definitely keep him unless an offer in excess of £20m comes in, in witch case at least £10m must be given to the manager to sign a top replacement, aye £10m on one top replacement not 2 or 3 decent replacements!

5.) 27 Jun 2020 22:45:05
Need rid of him before his value drops even more.

6.) 27 Jun 2020 23:17:06
Why would anyone getting a game every week come to another club as 'back up' I. e sitting on your erkie watching from the judge and durie seats?

7.) 27 Jun 2020 23:31:18
just curious what you mean we’re not in a good position to turn it away Paul?

he’s on a long contract and he’s our main striker with only back up a 37yr old.

obv i agree if a crazy bid comes in 20m+ we’d have to consider it, not many clubs can knock that back but I think we’re in a pretty good position as club finances seem to be pretty healthy

player power is key these days yes but we’re calling shots here and he won’t be going for 10/ 11m as some rags suggest.

8.) 27 Jun 2020 23:38:22
On his day the boy is unplayable, but tbh I wouldn’t be fussed if he left. I’m sure the management team have identified a suitable replacement for him if/ when he does leave.

9.) 27 Jun 2020 23:39:50
We get offered 15m he will be away lads. Love him to stay tho.

10.) 28 Jun 2020 00:04:32
Alfredo wants to play down south, wants to stay in UK. Won't leave rangers until next summer board want top dollar for him and market is what it is atm. January at the earliest.

11.) 28 Jun 2020 00:50:30
Might take 6months to get him fit again judging by his recent birthday pics.

12.) 28 Jun 2020 03:02:41
Why everyone slaughtering Dykes? He’s a young guy with bags of potential. He’s young, would cost buttons, eye for goal, fast and can bully teams. Only going to get better with better players and coaches. For me it’s win win really as we would never lose money on him. 🤷🏽‍♂️.

13.) 28 Jun 2020 03:21:07
He is very over rated. His touch is horrendous and the amount of chances he wastes by blasting it from a ridiculous angle does not support the theory of him being a top player. The chances he misses are embarrassing and if he is such an undropable striker just remember that Katic has scored more goals agsinst our biggest rivals than Morelos has. Worth keeping? Not for me defoe is far classier player and more intelligent around the box.

14.) 28 Jun 2020 08:07:17
Mcv show me a striker who doesn't miss chances. I'd loan him to a premier League club for a few million and sell him when the market picks back up. I've been shot down before for saying that though.

15.) 28 Jun 2020 09:24:27
Here's another question.
If Ivan Toney is supposedly worth £15m to his club in the English 1st division then what would the Second highest goal scorer this season in european competition be worth?
I mean, i know that Toney won't go for £15m but, in theory if that were to happen then what would Morelos be worth to us?

16.) 28 Jun 2020 09:42:34
dykes is not signing - we have no interest at all.

17.) 28 Jun 2020 10:22:49
Can’t see us signing a replacement for £10m. If a player is worth £10m we can’t afford his wages.

If Alf goes (I hope he doesn’t) we will struggle to replace what he gives to the team.

My guess is that we’ll brIng in a few options with potential.

18.) 28 Jun 2020 10:12:28
Mcv I think your being a bit harsh on the lad. All god strikers miss chances. If u want someone that is perfect at everything that’s going to cost u 10-20m and that’s not what we are in the market for. Our plan is simple but at a sensible price, improve the player and sell big. Dykes would cost buttons and we cost literally only make £ on him. I personally think it’s win win.

19.) 28 Jun 2020 10:38:45
trev no 7. meaning we need we have been losing over 10 mill a season for over last few years. even rangers aid themselves need to start making more money on players. so if big offer came in think they would have to take it.

20.) 28 Jun 2020 11:09:14
I would prefer that Morelos stays at Rangers. He is an established player that in most games contributes a lot to the team. However, there might be a situation where he doesn’t want to play for us anymore or an offer is received that we can’t turn down. If that were the case it might be better to sell.

21.) 28 Jun 2020 13:46:16
S14 Dykes has potential? He is 24 not a 20/ 21 he would be back up if he came but I doubt very much he will.

22.) 28 Jun 2020 14:57:02
Morelos is about three leagues above Dykes in the striker stakes. It's almost embarrasing to suggest one could repace the other. Thank goodness it has become clear that we have absolutely no interest in Dykes. Get off your knees, guys, and show some ambition for the team, these posts are wearying and depressing.

23.) 28 Jun 2020 15:40:53
Mcv, bit early for the hard stuff in a Sunday? Defoe has nothing on Morelos in terms of what he can do for our club.

Great player in his day but Defoe is on the way down, 37, won’t last 90 mins in many matches.

24.) 28 Jun 2020 17:58:02
KJA9 - that’s ok we need back up and we need players that are different so we can change it up when we need to. Something we are seriously lacking in and that is players who can come on and offer something different t. 24 is young in terms of a striker hitting there peak. I’m not saying he would be an ideal replacement for Alfie I’m just saying that I think he would be worth bringing in. 👍🏼.

25.) 29 Jun 2020 10:21:33
Can’t afford to loan him out to PL club for a few reasons, we would need more than a few million to replace him and if he was to fail his value would plummet lower than what it is just now.

Personally would bring back McCoist to work with the lad to give him some specialist 1 to 1 striker coaching. Because hubs finishing and composure in front of goal does need sharpening. He didn’t get anywhere near enough league goals last year.

I think McCoist was brought in by sir Alex Ferguson to coach Rooney at Man Utd. Think he would be happy to do a similar role here.

And maybe done anger management classes on how to improve his temperament. He needs to learn the best way to hurt opposing defenders is to score and not react to anything. Then when they get physical with him till about the ground like most South American’s.

Tough result to take today boys. Though we looked right off the pace and we struggle for creativity. I think we need a RW pronto.
Never mind, put this one on the past and let's look forward to our next game.

1.) 20 Sep 2020 21:15:00
We created plenty, Kents shot, Helander header, Arfield double miss, Morelos header, disallowed goal at the end plus the 2 we scored. enough to win a game. They had 3 attempts, 1 goal, 1 good save and 1 offside. Bad day at the races although some SPL players require more protection from the knuckle draggers. Kent kicked off the park AGAIN. If you can't beat them kick them. Being physical to help your cause is fine but blatantly kicking the rubbish out of players to slow them down is something from the 70s. Question are the Scottish refs holding back our game?

2.) 20 Sep 2020 21:25:06
Absolute rubbish

Gerrard has been at the club 2 years if that’s ye case then sign some hard men/ protectors

And stop bleating about it.

3.) 20 Sep 2020 21:27:35
Yeah TJBB it was the refs fault we didn’t win today nothing to do with our players bottling it AGAIN.

4.) 20 Sep 2020 21:45:40
KJA9, Hibs goal was offside, enough side.

5.) 21 Sep 2020 07:54:43
I noticed that, that useless player Boyle who isn't Rangers Class, whatever that is nowadays, laid on the two goals for them today, oh, but wait a minute, he's a RW, and we don't need one of those, do we?

6.) 21 Sep 2020 12:16:14
He should never have been able to cross for the first goal. He chopped the ball back and it went too far. BB should have had it or at least closed him down quicker. And yes he was offside for the second. Other than that he done nothing. Even the guys on the tranny laughed when he got MOM. So the answer would be no. We don’t need him.

Good old scottish media today showing their true colours.
Rangers B side thrashed by scumdee united earlier on in the day.
Rangers maintain unbeaten run against motherwell.
Going by the media logic does 4-1 score mean a thrashing but, a 4-0 win is maintenance of an unbeaten run.

They love to hate us. Get it right up them! 😁.

Yogibear1972

1.) 23 Jul 2020 06:45:10
That's why when we win this league it will be so sweet and one of the sweetest we've ever won! We can work right up all our haters bigtime! 👌.

2.) 23 Jul 2020 07:52:52
was thinking the same thing Yogi. I had to read four reports of the PSG game to realise they had won 4 0. No one led with the score.

3.) 23 Jul 2020 10:56:24
And, just read an article in the Record about Rangers and Celtic's French pre season "successes". Celtic played three, points 1 goals for 2, against 7. I've always laughed off suspicions about bias in the DR but now I'm beginning to agree.

Alright guy's,
I have heard about this virtual season ticket thing.
How does it work? Do i get access to RTV because i'm a season ticket holder?
Do you have to be a Mygers member?

I really want to watch the friendly games so i could use some information!

Cheers in advance.

Yogibear1972

1.) 15 Jul 2020 09:43:38
Season ticket will be all you need and we will be given access when we login with rangers number etc.

2.) 15 Jul 2020 09:48:43
Yogibear1972, you can also watch all our 4 friendly games on premier sports mate! But don't tell John25, he doesn't know this pal! 🤫🤫😂😂.

3.) 15 Jul 2020 10:06:23
The two games in France are only on premier sports, you won’t get them on RTV as a season ticket holder, however you do get the games against Motherwell and Coventry (which also happen to be on premier sports as well I believe) . I imagine this is because the french have the rights to the games against Lyon and Nice,

4.) 15 Jul 2020 10:19:19
SGL u think u r a smart se. Remember u watched tapia tear us apart in holland.

Alright Guy's, I went direct to Castore about SD and Fat Mike, Here is their response to my message.

Hi Colin, totally understand your cause for concern, the club issued a statement on this last night:

Club Statement

and we can confirm that the club are benefiting now more than ever from every sale through the online and new megastore. I can confirm that Mike Ashley has no shareholding in Castore.

They don't say they won't be selling through SD but, I just won't buy from them. I'll go direct to Castore or Megastore.

Hero good luck Peter.

3.) 01 Jul 2020 08:44:42
It wouldn’t surprise me if he comes back to Rangers at some point in his career. Maybe even as manager of our illustrious football club.

4.) 01 Jul 2020 09:39:11
Some people will need proof?

5.) 01 Jul 2020 11:36:49

Blue, what about all the important goals the boy has scored. Wouldn't have been in the Europa last season without him. I agree his professionalism has been awful but, don't have short selective memories. He has done more good than bad for this club. Once a Ger always a Ger! Good luck el Buffalo!

Gerrard can't whinge about bad tackles, that would be hypocritical!
Another pointless signing made by Gerrard and rangers. When does it end? Wasting our hard earned money we use to buy season tickets for signings he doesn't play. Step up or step out Mr Gerrard.
Stop wasting my time and money.

Think the LC fans thought he would be a good replacemnent if Chilwell left this Summer. don't know much about him but, hope he's a good addition to the squad if we get him.

I was thinking the same Coldo but, rules are rules and i'm sure there will be a few against us in the future no doubt.
I thought we would win anyway, we were very much the better side.
And like you said, a wee goal difference boost helps.

Im a season ticket holder in BF5 and i think Nicola Sturgeon is right to keep the restrictions. My wife works as a carer and I wouldn't feel comfortable putting her, her work mates, the residents or the guy's from my work at risk of getting ill just to go watch the football. To say that Nicola Sturgeon is like hitler is pure stupid!
