Ironically, we brought a risky, crazy, fond of a drink and a laugh Gazza from Italy, to our great club, gave him a family and a sense of belonging and in return, we got the best playing days of his career.
If Ravel or Ravioli could be half the player, we'd do well.

Totally with you here wee_bear. Barisic was absolutely superb over the 2 legs against us! He most definitely looks a quality left back. Tav couldn't do his usual marauding, up and down the right flank, because of how good barisic was! Really hope stevie G signs him!

I agree shauney boy I think we would have scored and I agree he should have went down with the shuv and stayed down but his instinctive reaction was to lash out. Stevie had got to coach him so his instinctive reaction is to go down. but the boy likes to stand up fir himself and not be bullied. it was just a flick out to a premeditated barge. The thing is we need options and a player like him could give us that, I expect us to bring in a striker and a Centre half over and above any other signings but imagine going to a back 3 in some games with no wingers but barasic and Tav in the wing back roles, this would give us an opportunity to pack the midfield and play 2 up top with little defensive responsibility on the wing backs!

If we manage to get Filip Helander over the line in the next few days then we will have done well this window. Always fingers crossed for a rabbit out the hat but I’ve always said if we can add 2 players to our starting 11 each window then we are doing good business. Helander should slot in with Goldson to begin with and Aribo will be a starter I’m sure but we’ve also got Ojo who looks like this years Kent, and starts as out right sided forward for me. To top that we’ve managed to hang on to all our best players, so far so good and keep it up all involved!

I think Arfield will play outside right this year as per the last old firm match. That will free up his central role for the likes of Aribo and Doherty to compete over. I think he will try Ojo on the left cutting inside and allowing Barasic to overlap.
Who knows though, there are so many options now! ReLly looking forward to the new season. Think we will have an edge over Celtic with a more settled team and with more running and intensity in the Midfield.

Ross McCrorie loaned out to Pompey. Agree he needs games but it’s being reported there is an option to buy and this is disappointing for me. If he goes down there and plays brilliantly then we could lose him and his best years won’t come at Rangers. Will be interesting to see how he gets on in comparison to Aribo. If he lights up league 1 maybe our management team might take notice of a young guy who for me has everything to be a success, just needs games.

I don’t think the lad has anything to prove and always delivers when called upon - his headed goal up at pittodrie also shows he stands up in the big games for us
Obv i'm not questioning SGs knowledge of midfielders but hope we don’t miss a trick here overlooking this lad as he’s big strong physical type defensive midfielder who screens back 4 so well - yes he cld work on other aspects of his game but who doesn’t

Katic offers more for me, both decent at this level but Goldson won’t improve any from here and Katic will a great deal, yes he’s raw but as the gaffer says he’s a threat at both ends. I’m happy Goldson has put the OF error behind him already and he played well last night!

Have to agree with DK here, Kent had 2 fantastic games from my memory, both against Celtic at the back end of last season, all the rest he was ok but those 2 stand out. Jordan Jones doing well there so far so wouldn’t say Kent is absolutely essential anymore. He’s a good player though and would benefit by playing in this exciting team but we look in good shape, I can’t see any more come in but the way the English window has worked, loans will be available!

Depends who is buying Rick, this is a world where McBurnie goes for £17M, Adam Webster for £20M, this is from the championship so we have to value our assets appropriately. To replace Morelos’ goals will cost us, imagine what Aberdeen would want for Cosgrove and it puts the Morelos value in perspective. We all know he’s not a £20M striker but we can’t say the suitors if they come won’t spend that, they are doing it regularly.

I’m not sure we need him as much now although Kent Defoe Ojo backed up by Jones Morelos (or replacement) Hastie and also Jamie Murphy I’m there too would be good options.

Jeezo that’s harsh Coldo, he had a poor game but Kamara was all over the gaff, at least Kamara was playing in his favoured position. Aribo has been decent so far and will be scoring goals from the midfield 3, something Jack Davis and Kamara just don’t do enough. Kent and Arfield will get goals too along with whoever is upfront. Don’t need to panic here. We’ve had one poor game but we’re on the up, let’s see what happens!

The songs need to go, i sang them as a teenager but not as an adult and religious hatred was certainly not my reasoning for signing them, I feel no I’ll will to anyone because of their religion but I cannot go Celtic fans, and I hate them as a club despite many of my closest friends supporting them, I separate this from our friendship and I actually have great banter with them involving the rivalry. I’m sure they feel the same about Rangers! We need the club to produce a banned list of songs I feel and take it from there. The songs may take a generation to die out but the club has taken the lead and I congratulate them on it!

We just need to keep winning and building pressure, their fans, manager, players and board are crumbling under the tiny amount of pressure being applied already. I’d expect a load of panic buys in the next 2 weeks as well as more iffy results!
