In the heads of many fans Tavernier won't play anymore. But he is still first choice RB and will play for most of the season. He should be rested every now and then because the guy has basically kicked every ball for years. Last season Tavernier played more minutes than any other outfield player.
The guy was with us in the lower divisions, won us a title, and the abuse he gets from the toxic fanbase is disgusting.

I suffered a trapped nerve some years ago now, it lasted 9 months and I can tell you it's a horrible injury, very painful. Hopefully for Sterling's sake it's not the same.

Hagi only wanted away as clement told him months ago he wasn't part of the plans. Slating Hagi for actually wanting to stay and prove his worth is madness! Anyone who doesn't think he could add quality to that current rangers side can't be serious! Dowell is on 4K less a week and offers us nothing! Hagi is also a far better player than Lawrence, who is actually on more money!
I don't agree with the way the club have dealt with this! Banishing him to the b team cause of an extra 6k a week lol it's pathetic in my opinion!

Agree on the ability of the alternates in Hagi’s position but he’s pretty slow and has shown little (on loan) to suggest he is or is as near to the level pre-knee injury. He’s one first team match away from an automatic weekly wage increase and a sizeable chunk paid to his previous team based upon appearances. This does not fit the new financial structuring/ goals of the club.
He's not worth the outlay.

The lad had a good spell against Braga and scored an important goal against Hibs, other than that done very little. Tbf he was one who had a bad injury, not somebody who was constantly out injured! Hearing Goldson will be announced as a West Brom player today and Cerny to be announced by us. Hopefully this is the start of it and we can all be a bit more optimistic. Lammers close to a move to FC Twente, £2.7m fee. Wage still being discussed. Trabzonspor have signed Malheiro from boavista so looks like Tavs move to them is off. Malheiro a good attacking full back but can also defend very well. I'm hoping Gio can do us a favour and take him to besiktas. Joan Jordan is getting a closer. Hannibal seems to prefer a move to us over Copenhagen - here's hoping as he would be a superb signing even if it's just a loan. Not hearing much on CBs which is a concern for me. Not popular opinion but McKenna is free and would be a better option than Davies if we could move him on. Could form a good partnership with Souttar as well. Fans saying Souttar not good enough but have only seen him of the left of defence, reckon see the best of him on the right side. Shankland seriously being considered now, near enough 60 league goals in 2 seasons at hearts, incredible. He would score a barrel load for us.

PErsonally I don't think Souttar is good enough, but appreciate he's been playing no his weaker side. I would also take McKenna, I think fans are turned off him as his family supports the other side. As for Davies, I think we'll really struggle to move him on. we paid decent money for him, and I'm sure he's on good wages, but most of all his wife is from up here and sounds to have had a rough time of it, so I think he'll want to stay up here which leaves next to no options for moving him on.

If Clement is sacked, there is only one man for the job in my opinion - Muscat! Still can't believe he wasn't offered the job before Clement! A brand of attacking football we know works in this league. He's a winner and knows what we are all about. Not sure how much compensation his club would be due though or if he would even consider it now.

I think if Clement is sacked it'll either be an out of work manager who comes in or somebody already managing in Scotland ie Mcinnes.
I can't see any many high level managers looking at us at the moment and thinking I want to go there, they've sacked their last 3 managers after a year, have no money to sign the targets i'd like and I'm expected to compete with a team who can spend 30-40 million in a window while I have to look at loans or freebies.
I can see folks point of view for both keeping and sacking him but if he goes it'll set us back years again.

Compensation to pay off Clement (and his backroom team? ) compensation to pay for Muscat or McInnes and then funds to allow the manager to at least have a couple of his own players. I reckon out of contract is where we go unless board supply more 7 figure loans, which need to be repaid. before a decision is made the board need to look at the 4 rs in the decision with results just being one of them. also restrictions, resources and the risk. no perfect solution and I suspect that we will only be aware of what they think by Clement still being in place. or he may be sacked which will be more obvious.

Are Rangers not better sending Kasanwirjo back to feyenoord and using the funds to bring in a defender short term. Sure he's out till around April so be lucky to see him again before the end of the season. I know we have option to buy, no idea where we stand on that after the injury though. When they first invested in Leeds it was 11%, increased to 44% the following year then a full takeover in 2023. I imagine king gets them in by selling his shares then they look to take full control.
