How did we manage to lose young Gilmour. we should have pulled the stops out to keep that boy. unlike the great unwashed across the city. they keep their talent and sell them for millions. our mob just don’t have a clue these days .

True blue, yip, i watched the game mate, young gilmour was defenetly one i would have loved us to keep, but it was his call, end he went down bye. i think there are more like him at our place right now. i hope so,

We didn't 'lose' Gilmour, he wanted to leave. He and his family played us for fools, especially his dad, then took the money and ran.

First time poster, long time listener. felt I had to comment tonight.
I’ve read everything about gerards hurt and how we’ve got to back him. he’s had 2 seasons now to get it right, yet after the winter break each season we’ve imploded. The worst team in the league have let us leave tyncastle with 1 point this season, they’ve knocked us out of the Scottish cup, put the biggest dent in our title challenge and basically shown us up every time we’ve been there this season. Now answer this one, how many of you seen at the end of the 2-1 game at the start of the year that hearts bullied us out of the game, yet we start with an even softer team this time around knowing the importance of this particular game to our season? We start this game with no recognised striker, a midfield that were bullied last time and no striker to hold the ball up. Everyone could see from the first 5 minutes we were being outplayed, out muscled and out jumped by Naismith. all 5’8 of him. No hagi, no Defoe, no Morelos? Look at what Morelos has got away with over the last 2 seasons and he drops him tonight. of all nights. I don’t know what SG is feeling at the moment, but lads in all honesty could any of you sit hand on heart and say you’d have picked that same team tonight? I’m sorry but Mr Gerard please do the decent thing and walk away, leave with no compensation and let us get a manager with a bit of tactical awareness to move us on. Europe is only papering over the cracks. Yes it’s an added bonus but we it’s only a bonus if you’re doing it at home first and foremost. otherwise all it is is a distraction, something to take our eyes off the main prize. I love the player he was, but that doesn’t always translate to being a winning manager, we are too big a club, with too proud a history to have a rookie cutting his teeth so he can get his main prize at Liverpool. Please Stevie, go now and let us try to progress with someone who has a clue what he’s doing. you looked as lost tonight as you did with that pass back in the champions league final. go before 10 in a row is your legacy. that’s all you’ll be remembered for .

Ryan Kent is the most overvalued player we have. he’s no better than any of the other wingers we have, so little return on so much money. I agree that he has talent, but I’d say he, like Morelos haven’t shown any of the talent that we’ve seen in the past. Kent’s a bit of a one trick pony and defenders know exactly what he’s going to do every time. I’d bite anyone’s hand off that offered £10 million as In current form I can see him being benched. Maybe the weight of the jersey is too much for him, maybe he’s trying too hard. but he’s never been the player we had during his loan spell. Let’s face it lads the team haven’t moved on from last season, Gerard doesn’t have a plan B, or C in his locker, maybe our most valuable players are being wasted because he can’t set the team up right to support them, either way there’s big problems ahead this season with Gerard at the helm, and before you all jump down my throat, I’m not suggesting we get rid of him, that’s just too expensive an option but hand on heart I just can’t see him learning from last seasons mistakes and unfortunately 10/ 11/ 12 in a row is a horrible reality we might have to face. We are maybe too caught up in 10 iar anyway, how many seasons were their main rivals out of the league.
I know a bit of a rant but I’ve been wanting to get this off my chest for a while and follow this site every day. I just don’t think we should ever have had a rookie manager, no matter how big the name, his deficiencies in tactical awareness are glaringly obvious. how many of us knew after 10 mins on Sunday we had to change the formation, bring on another striker with 80 mins left would have been a different proposition. we know how Livi play, we know they won’t have many chances if any, so why do we need 2 holding midfielders and only 1 striker. especially when dykes couldn’t play . some of his decisions just beggar belief. I don’t profess to be a manager, but for god sake how can he not set the team up right in the first place . we could all have picked a team to get a win on Sunday and I just fear we will see this the whole season. teams park the bus against us and them. they just seem to either find a way through or get a dodgy decision or penalty . we don’t . Rant over lads. I know that was all on the back of the Kent poll but had a few beers and had to let off some steam .
