There's loads of companies out there get caught out with delays with materials. Bigger than Rangers football club. If your quoting completion dates add on 6/ 8 weeks from what used to be normality. Don't blame anyone choosing the cheaper option, same as any of us when buying something you look for what your buying cheaper somewhere else. There would've been a budget in place when plans were put in place, that would've been 2 years ago or so at least. It's amazing how much the cost would've changed in that time, project manager has to do what he can to remain in budget and on time. Look around and tell me what's been built on time theses days. It's a different world now lads.

Those companies don't have over 40k paying customers and if there was any doubt we should've told fans upfront to at least give notice.

Your right mate but there is people buying £500k houses and getting told they can’t move in for another 3 months.

When you have a fixed completion date with no room for manoeuvre procurement is key, all design work would have been carried out well in advance. The project cannot start until all materials are on site or in storage ready to be delivered. There must be a contract in place with the contractor with penalties for delays if there isn’t it’s shocking. You do not start a project like this unless you can deliver it’s embarrassing, such inconvenience to the season ticket holders.

Not sure why we didn’t have all the materials sorted and stored in the country well in advance of the season ending so issues like this wouldn’t happen. The club clearly thinks someone has f’d up given they’ve lost their job for it.
