Good shout THH, I'd go with that. If stories are true and marseille do offer us £16million for morelos, then there's no doubt we have to snap the hand off them and accept it! We can't turn that down. Its a £15million profit on alfredo. I've seen it before that selling one of your prize assets for big money, can benefit the team longterm, especially when you're building towards challenging them, for the league title next year. One very good player being sold can help gerrard make the team much better in the longer term.

Arthur D, we just can't turn down £16million mate, if that is the fee that marseille are allegedly going to pay for morelos. That money just wouldn't get us a centre half and
winger it would get us more than just 2 players and help massively in another mini rebuilding job that gerrard is planning on doing. He would probably have the morelos fee and the money from the board he was originally getting. Sometimes selling one of your best players for big money, does in fact help the team become better, in the long run. I rate morelos highly, as most on here know,
but at £16million, imo the club has to sell.

So who scores the goals sell morelas and blow all the cash on cooper and Kent. Defoe never plays the full 90 and is 36 and lafferty can't score. If we sell morelas we need another 2 strikers unless SG promotes one of the young boys.

Cooper in my opinion is far better than worrall and is left footed also but price and wages would be an issue.

I never said anything about turning down an alleged bid of £16m however if we were fortunate enough to get that then I’d rather we bought another striker. It looks as though Lafferty might be on his bike as well. So we could be looking for 2 strikers.

Daz spending 4 million on 4 players doesn’t guarantee they will improve the squad, I hate when people say stuff like that . you could buy 4 duds and it’s 16mill done the drain.

Bringing in an experienced CH will cost alot. If we sell Moralos abig chunk of the transfer fee should go towards a striker. Defoe is real quality but can't expect him to do it all, not when he's 36-37.

If we are to replace Morelos how much are we going to have to spend?

We might be lucky and find another £1m gem but we’d need to be very lucky.

For me, Morelos should be here for another year unless we get a £20m+ offer for him.

We will have extra cash to spend and will clear out a big chunk of wage cost to let us add 2 or 3 quality players.

Keep our best players and add a few.

anyone thinks that if we got 16M that we will spend 16M is really not thinking, that isn't the way business works. we want to spend little, find a player to bring on and look to sell him in a couple of years. we need return on investment. 4M unfortunately doesn't guarantee a good player that will make in Scotland.

Gannett, how about the players we've brought in so far, that cost less than 4 million that have been performing? Albeit Grezda and barasic haven't, the irony is the cheapest/ free players have performed, I do reckon that Allan and Gerrard could between them pick out a few 4m players who would come up here and succeed.
