Always wondered about the red and black socks and the reason Rangers wore them. It was the colours of the emblem of the Govan crest and was also the colours used on the funnels of ships built at Govan ship yard.
Another bit of info have been looking for is Glasgow Rangers had a strict clean shaving policy back in 1972 and before but our captain John Greig had a beard. Can anyone shed any light on that thanks.

I think Greig was given special dispensation to grow his beard as he felt that it would be bad luck to shave it off during our ECWC run. Pure superstition and he was going to shave it off if and when we got knocked out. The rest is history.

It is correct he initially had stitches, we embarked on a run in Europe where he felt it was lucky.
With approval of Willie Waddell he said he would shave it off once we were out.

The only good thing to come out of the Rangers/ Sevilla game was the referring. Only thing I would say he got wrong was a red for King at the end. Pitch to blame for the poor play!

The ref was excellent letting the game flow and stamping his authority when needed. From the start he wasnt buying into the Sevilla players rolling around pretending to be injured. Good performance from him and Sevilla and poor from Rangers.

Thanks for your email.
The club is aware that customer service in the past has not been of the standard required. The new customer service team has been in place for a couple of months now and we have already made improvements to the speed with which we are able to respond to supporters enquiries. We have committed to investing in improving the digital technology that will improve and enhance supporters interactions with Rangers. I'm aware that there is still a lot of work to be done however I'm confident that we will continue to improve going forward.
Regarding Your point about wishing the supporters a Merry Christmas, An email was sent to Season ticket holders with a Christmas message from the manager. This message was also posted on our social media channels via Twitter, Instagram and Youtube although I take on board your point about this not being added to the website and will raise this with our IT team.
