Unbelievable. Some of you punters. Are you serious? Same folk that were delirious after Killie game are now at the other end of the spectrum. Centre yourself and breath. My word. Hahahaha

You would think we got pumped 6-1 today. Come on man be realistic. It's a marathon not a sprint. We are rebuilding and a point away from home is better than nothing. You can be disappointed, I am but the rage and despair on here is frightening. I'm sure the under performing players know who they are and I'm sure they are working on it. Yes some changes need to be made but I back MW 100%. If we don't secure 2nd place then I'll start doubting. Some crazed fans on here. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Jeez. Relax :)

Do you actually watch the games? Draws against ross county twice, Kilmarnock, Hamilton and St Johnstone is that acceptable for a team with the 2nd biggest budget? Only 5 wins out of 12 and as good as 14 points behind Celtic with not even a third of the season done. Unfortunately you are one of those fans who accepts mediocrity and thinks it's acceptable.

2.) 07 Nov 2016 08:28:20
Even the players say it "not acceptable- we will learn and do better next time . "

Even the management team say it!

Have Ranger supporters actually disagreed with this post or is just Celtic supporters?

3.) 07 Nov 2016 08:30:43
Not sure what the players do at training which makes them think they are so good (playing themselves? ) - but "not cutting it" in matches!

4.) 07 Nov 2016 09:59:49
All we hear is 2nd biggest budget, doesn't matter how much if the manager doesn't get better quality in than he has, imo he could have got Bradshaw (or even Lafferty) in for up front and that would have been an improvement right away. It's about recognising who to identify and making the right choices.

5.) 07 Nov 2016 10:46:36
I miss the days where people didn't care about transfer fees or players wages.

6.) 07 Nov 2016 11:30:37
I am well p*ssed off bout that performance but still trust us to finish second and I can't ask for more than that.

I hoped the killie game was a turning point because we played well but inconsistency strikes again.

I've got to disagree with the OP on here and say we should have our talented youngsters names in lights and splashed across media platforms from a very young age. It works for the NFL and NBA, the bet example coming from the NBA, LeBron James. This lad was already a superstar when he was still at school and attracted so much sponsorship and investment which allowed him to become the world class athlete that he was and still is. This kind of media attention on our talented youth is exactly what our game needs. Give our youth a role model that they actually can relate to and watch the snowball effect. It can only bring investment and opportunity.

Think of how many talented youngsters that we've lost because of lack of of exposure. Every family has a lad that could've made it. Let's create a platform so they can all make it.

We need to invest in our school and university football leagues. Create a hype. Build small seated stadiums for them. I for one would go and support my local school and university team.

just look at the squad announced. guus like martin, Fletcher, Hanley being called up when they are having absolutely shocking seasons.

Scotland will never produce a descent side while not giving younger players who are playing well a chance. like walker, shinnie, Crawford etc.

our one player who looks good Oliver Burke will probably get started have a bad half be slated by everybody.

2.) 02 Nov 2016 12:54:19
Monty I totally agree with investment in youngster and the building of small seated indoor arenas, being dotted around the country for use with more than just football in mind for the communities, but come on these are kids. If you had a boy playing with the under 16s at the age of say 13 and he had his face splash across the back pages saying how amazing he was and how he was going to be the next big thing. How much pressure does that put on him. I remember playing rugby at 14 and a scout for scottish schools came. I was playing fine till half time and i was told he was there to watch me and my bottle crashed. Kids don't need pressure.

3.) 02 Nov 2016 17:50:29
I agree Finty, kids don't need pressure, they need booze, woman and fast cars. :P.

4.) 02 Nov 2016 20:10:13
Finty, it's only pressure if they're not accustomed to it. If they become accustomed to this type of pressure then it'll become second nature. What's more daunting, your face on the back of the paper or playing in front of 50,000 fan? The talent; they are either born with or have been nurtured to acertain. The hardest part is not bottling it on the big stage. Media attention from a young age will help with this. Some of our seasoned pros still are unable to perform on the big stage without bottling it.

Let's not forget that the modern youth relish the attention, selfies, social media, youtubers etc. I think exposure on multiple media platforms is what our youth craves and it can only motivate them. The right amount of pressure and they'll flourish. They probably won't turn out to be decent human beings but they'll be more than decent footballers :)

Keep seeing people saying that it will be usual top 3 or x, y, z will be playing. Think you are in for a shock tomorrow when MW plays his league cup team, Tav or Wallace will start on bench so Hodsom can play. A few if not all of these lads will be playing; Harry, Dodoo, MOH, Rossiter, Crooks, Garner and Windass. Gilks is starting for sure. Look at the QoS lineup and that'll give you an idea of the team we will use. MW has said to some of the lads they are guaranteed cup games and I don't think he'll go back on his word. Some of you who have blind favouritism for likes of McKay etc are in for a big shock.

MontyPieFan

1.) 22 Oct 2016 11:13:18
I think the only shock everyone will get tomorrow will be if you manage to beat us.

2.) 22 Oct 2016 11:42:51
I'm shocked that you can form a full sentence and you know to operate a qwerty keyboard. Tell the truth, have you scribbled all over your screen with crayons. I won't tell anybody.

3.) 22 Oct 2016 11:47:55
Listen mate, rangers are building solid foundations just like Rodgers is at Celtic, but the major difference is rangers are doing it from scratch, which means it's going to take a year or two before we're back to where Rangers were before 2012,but we will get there.

4.) 23 Oct 2016 11:52:28
Personally I would leave Wallace out of the team. At least with Halliday as captain we have a decent leader on the park instead of the quiet man!

Personally I wouldn't play McKay either, he doesn't like hard challenges and goes missing. Only problem with Forrester is that he will be at risk of a red card and we will certainly miss Kranjcar. With Rossiter injured and Crooks presumably not match fit we will inevitably struggle yet again to name a quality bench!

5.) 23 Oct 2016 11:46:12
Don't think Gilks will play, when you consider he hasn't been tested, only played against E Stirling Stranraer and Annan, Fod played in the only tough League cup game (v Mwell) so that suggests to me it will be Fod in goal.
Gilks hasn't had any tests in the matches he has played so can't see it being him.

You know that feeling you get when you're geared up to watch the old firm with yer pals and it's all planned out but then one by one they get tickets and then yer left sitting by yerself, feeling like a right tool?

Hate that.

Just happened to me.

If White Lightning did Old Firms, they'd probably be the worst old firms in the world.

2.) 20 Oct 2016 17:04:54
quality post mate.

3.) 20 Oct 2016 17:23:29
Monty, if they were real pals, one of them should give you their ticket, lol.

4.) 20 Oct 2016 17:40:24
Jaws more chance of MW playing a 442.

It's the only year I never ticked semi final and final box. Just had a baby and couldn't justify it. On that note, anybody want a wean?

5.) 20 Oct 2016 19:27:45
If i watch it on tele i prefer watching it myself, i know i'm a bloody weirdo but i get to uptight watching it with others.

6.) 20 Oct 2016 21:12:01
Me too mate Mrs goes off her nut because I imaginary kick n header every ball lol and I'm a nervous wreck all day before it she just doesn't get it lol.

7.) 20 Oct 2016 21:14:57
Be confident guys, we are building confidence. Niko should play from the start as I don't think he is an impact player to come on on 60 mins. Halliday will be the difference on Sunday. I do think that they will score as I believe our defence is still our weekness. Having said that I'm sure we can truly win on Sunday.

19 Oct 2016 13:20:28
It's just dawned on me that we're playing in the League cup and MW uses a different starting XI in these games. Wonder if he'll stick to that strategy.

E. g Gilks in sticks, Hodosn LB, Forrester LW etc. Leaving McKay, Wallace, Wes on bench.

MontyPieFan

1.) 19 Oct 2016 13:37:31
Can't imagine him changing too much. I'm 50/ 50 whether he would stick with Gilks as this is his competition but at the same time this is a chance for us to get a trophy so would expect the same regular faces in Wallace and McKay etc. Hope to see something different though soon!

2.) 19 Oct 2016 14:10:14
I read gilks saying in an interview that he expected to play in semi due to agreement that he played in cup games. I personally think Wes will play on sun.

3.) 19 Oct 2016 14:51:22
Gilks will play I think as MW had said previously that he would get the cup game. I don't really have a problem with that. Think both are decent keepers.

4.) 19 Oct 2016 15:16:32
This is an opportunity to get to a Cup Final and should be treated as such. IMO play your strongest team. This nonsense you can play in cup games but not good enough for League games doesn't fit with me. After all we are innit to winnit.

5.) 19 Oct 2016 21:45:55
You can bet your life that the front three won't change.

6.) 19 Oct 2016 23:47:24
I agree forsyth, that we are innit to winnit, unfortunately we seem to have a "Frank Sinatra" team selection policy, and that is a MW version of My Way. My biggest fear is he will go ahead with his wide open attacking policy. In my opinion that is wrong, and he will play as we did at the piggery, wide open.

Unfortunately, my wee ticker could not handle that, so, just like at the piggery, I have got shot of my ticket. And before I get all the crap, I pay to support my team and if anyone does not like it, tough.

7.) 19 Oct 2016 23:54:57
Gilks won't weaken the team so I don't think your point is valid. surely if Warburton has promised he will play in the cup games he should be good to his word.

8.) 20 Oct 2016 08:53:08
Geez yer ticket Billy.

9.) 20 Oct 2016 14:47:16
warbs said to gilks he will start so I believe he will start and also I think warbs style of play could work in a different formation but like we all have found out he is too stubborn to change it.

10.) 20 Oct 2016 17:06:15
MPF, Sorry mate, it was given to an old friend.

Nah not for me thanks.

Hopefully we get accepted to join the EFL new fifth division in 2020. We can leave the colts in SPFL and our first team can work our way into EPL. Won't take long before there's huge investment in our club and we could dominate British and European football.

Rangers legend as a player and Rangers legend as a manager. Done an incredible job during the worst years in our clubs history and done it under duress. No other could've or would've done what he did. His demise was well orchastrated by the **** at the helm. If I could change anything during his time as a manger, it would be the board and some of the fans. Board gave too little, fans wanted too much.

Good luck super Ally. Rangers till we die.

Mr Nice, you act like you've never heard of Mike Ashley or any of his dealings. They guy is a bottom feeder. Him and the previous board have drained us dry so of course DK was going to go to war with this chump. Any of us would. I'm happy he's started this war. No surrender Dave King.

Sorry but that's just a fairytale. A hypothetical. You can't know that. We could've lost every game since or ibrox could've floated into the sky like a UFO. Barton is trouble. The quicker he leaves, the better. It troubles me that some are so forgiving of him and yet want MW and other players axed for an average performance.

It seems more like most Gers fans on here have a bad dose of bipolar. It's not the end of the world. I'm disappointed but I'm realistic and I'll take that point. Could be crucial come the end of the season.

Let's just take a deep breath. Chill. Should've easily won that today. A bit more composure in front of goal and its 4/ 5 nil before they got their goal.
