I was working in Birmingham over the weekend with a couple of villa fans one of which knows someone in the know at villa park so take this with a pinch of salt but he was saying that kent is signing for villa 10million fee. Loved seeing the wee man tear the unwashed apart but not worthy of that price tag if true in my opinion.

I really like the look of ojo already but kent for me is the better, all round winger. God, i do so hope we can get kent back at ibrox.

I’d like to reserve judgement for at least 10 games before jumping in - clearly some others are more astute than me as they can see Ojo’s potential already.

Thinking back, I don’t remember that Kent did much in his first few games for us (such as score two goals) .

Kamara will join before window closes as will kent on permanent deal. Also pre contracts being worked on for Stevie naismith, Martin skrtel and Alan hutton.

If we manage a pre-contract for Skrtel then we should be negotiating to bring him in now. Goldson is the only one of our defenders I trust. I would say Katic but seems he's never going to play.

Whilst I love Alan Hutton and rate him immensely I don't think bringing in a team full of previous players and older players is the way to go. We'd be better bringing through our highest quality youngsters and combining these with some of the best players in the league. I'd prefer McKenna from Aberdeen at the end of the season than Skrtel 100%.

To be fair Hutton has been tremendous for Aston Villa but I don't think bringing back players is the way forward we need to bring players in with a sell on value and he doesn't have that at his age.

And with that the ryan kent deal is apparently dead. I feel sorry for the guy. No one is going to meet the valuation that Liverpool have seemingly put on him and they don't want to loan him out either plus he is contracted to Liverpool until 2022. Waste of a talented player imo.

Klopp will let him go to some team down South for around 6m knowing he ain't going to get much chances at Anfield! He ain't worth 10m that's for sure! I'd say 5-6m Harry Wilson is probably worth between 10-15m.

Don't think Lafferty really has had a chance as such 10/ 15 mins now and again is useless to form an opinion on, Barasic think he needs to realise the pressure there is playing for rangers and ask can he cope Davis juries out imo.

Lafferty hasn't had a look in mols. 2 v Motherwell on debut dropped next game. Since then it's been 10 mins here n there, what do you expect out him 15 to 20 goals?

We got rid of our best lb in lee wallace. That position shouldn't be an issue.
