We need to start by beating Hamilton and trying to go on a run of league wins. That means we need to get behind the team - the end of the season is the time for recriminations. If we can win the four or five games before the split (which would include beating them) who knows how they’ll react. They’ve got nine league games to play and, barring a late push from Kilmarnock into the top six, they’ve six games to play against the three teams to have taken points from them this season. If (and it’s a big if) we can get to the split within six points maximum who knows how they’ll react.

First thing tomorrow should be to take the captain’s armband from Tavernier and give it to Arfield or maybe even Jack. Drop Goldson, Davis and McGregor for Katic, Polster and Foderingham.

Eh? Goldson is a total bomb scare - culpable for goals against Hearts, Sheep, Killie, Celtic, Hamilton this season alone. That’s fourteen out of fifteen points lost through him. Still undroppable though.

Goldson cost us goals at a Pittodrie, Tynecastle and Rugby Park for a start. He gave away a needless free kick at Hampden which led to their goal and gave away Edouard’s goal at Ibrox this season. Lucky not to concede a penalty at Hamilton last week for that ridiculous hand ball so please don’t make him out to be a superstar.
