Have a senior contact in another EPL club who has been told any new senior appointment to board has been brought in to prevent the A word and that the a Belgian FA are seriously considering coming in before next lot of internationals for PC that's why the contract was extended to get significant compo package. Just passing on. If someone has contacts in the city to debunk these then great.
1.) 16 Aug 2024 07:36:36
Well we need every penny so goodbye PC!
2.) 16 Aug 2024 07:36:55
Some kind of club announcement today apparently so we’ll wait and see, we are in the rubbish of some kind that’s for sure.
3.) 16 Aug 2024 07:55:10
Wouldnt be against it if were hadned a good lump sum of money for him.
4.) 16 Aug 2024 07:59:55
The extra year on the contract seen too well organised and almost visionary for the clowns on our Board .
5.) 16 Aug 2024 08:34:32
The announcement will likely be in regards to the stadium pics show it's coming along otherwise I would suspect the alleged announcement is fake.
6.) 16 Aug 2024 08:49:27
What does the op mean by A word? Dare i ask.
7.) 16 Aug 2024 09:01:52
Presumably the A word is Administration.
8.) 16 Aug 2024 09:02:13
And who comes in if Phil Clement goes? We need stability, it’s dave king back in the hot seat is what we need.
9.) 16 Aug 2024 09:06:06
Administration? So to go into administration you have to owe someone money. The only people we owe money to are our directors. Do your Tim friends really care expect any of us to believe that?
10.) 16 Aug 2024 09:21:15
Admin.
11.) 16 Aug 2024 09:21:47
I'm taking it he means administration! Surely that couldn't happen again!
12.) 16 Aug 2024 09:31:45
Clubs on the brink of administration do not plan large scale capital projects, which is what we've done. We're tidying up the wage bill as we were overpaying players (our wage bill had climbed higher than theirs which is not realistic or sustainable) . Admin chatter most likely comes from the usual suspects, an unless it came from a good named source I wouldn't pay it much heed at this point. By all accounts (including the Financial Statements) the current incumbents have run a tighter ship than those before them, and are trying the get the club in a sustainable position.
13.) 16 Aug 2024 09:45:46
I thought that's what was implied but didn't want to presume .
All though not without the realms of possibility I'd be really surprised if administration was on the cards given were spending money on the stadium and making money by reducing wages and confirmed europa league money to come in.
Was there not also a 10m overdraft facility from Bennett should the proverbial hit the fan?
14.) 16 Aug 2024 09:55:49
DeBoer, a poster asked a question on what a previous poster meant by the A word. Offering an answer doesn't make anyone a 'Tim'. I've had two season tickets at Ibrox for nearly 35 years, I can't think of too many from the other side who could claim to have the same.
15.) 16 Aug 2024 10:03:17
Fingers crossed sum1 comes I for pc soon, we get a decent fee for him and staff and saves us sacking him in the next month or 2.
As for the next manager.
Knutsen? Is he working again yet?
Dare I say Lampard?
And of course mccinnes?
For me, I’d ask the stevie G question and see how it could work.
16.) 16 Aug 2024 10:09:20
If you read the post it says PREVENT administration it doesn’t state the club is in Administration - it’s pretty obvious to even a layman the money is being p£sped up the wall. Just for the record neither myself or contact is a “Tim” lame comment whoever it was.
17.) 16 Aug 2024 10:23:22
Still blue I don't think that was aimed at you from reading deboers comment. I think the general consensus here is the rumours has originated from the dark side and regurgitated on here as a possible rumour. Don't think anyone is calling anyone a secret operative of the dark side.
18.) 16 Aug 2024 14:52:10
Even in admin the comedy board would get their loans back probably if they got a sniff of admin and got in sharpish before the revenue, these guys ain't heroes so don't ever count on them . King grifter Murray would probably be able to eat them .
19.) 16 Aug 2024 15:29:41
So we don't have a CEO but if we appoint one it's to stave off admin? Are you mental.
24 Jul 2024 07:35:47
Goldson to West Brom?
1.) 24 Jul 2024 08:06:06
Seen a poll of Brom fans 82% say yes, are you hearing anything Hertford that we've not seen bud, can't see anything linking us other than older stuff mate?.
2.) 24 Jul 2024 09:42:49
Fork - was told by a baggie last week they were looking at him as Cipre was being pulled from squad and the fact that Goldie has close family near and would be within their budget
But after the Cyprus fiasco who knows ?.
3.) 24 Jul 2024 10:24:28
West Brom or Birmingham city is the move he would want. More likely West Brom would be his preferred choice.
Built his forever home there 2-3 years ago.
4.) 24 Jul 2024 10:30:42
Cheers bud??.

I like PC and think he is convincing in his manner but what's the plan? What does frustrate me is the topic of needing a significant war chest to compete in the league and Europe. Look at the Scandanavian models - low budget, motivated players, high performance value added pressing play. How does that not work here? Bring on the Vikings?.
1.) 03 Sep 2024 04:04:07
Bodo Glimt.
2.) 03 Sep 2024 07:10:00
Scandi teams don't manufacture a team over night, they nurture and develop their teams over time.
If we want to do that, then we need to change our mindset as fans.
3.) 03 Sep 2024 07:25:54
Heart and Hand made a good point about the mentality in this fixture and it’s back to pre Gerrard that way, at least he could get them mentally motivated and thinking the right way for these games, this guy can’t and will never be able to.
4.) 03 Sep 2024 07:56:56
Never scottj. how do you know this.
5.) 03 Sep 2024 09:17:11
Correct ehl and that won’t happen as fans demand instant success.
6.) 03 Sep 2024 09:51:59
Fans would be patient and understanding if we saw progress being made, we'd then give it time. There is no progress, we seem to be going back the way. I think that's problem fans have. There is no clear style of play, our results are shocking, our players mentality is pathetic. Then there is the shambles of the board and PC blethering in interviews, how can anyone expect fans to be patient?
7.) 03 Sep 2024 11:59:19
RayGer you are having a laugh, we don't have patient fans far from it. we want success now not in 12 months or more. we have the most toxic fans even when the team play well. at ibrox if we aren't ahead by half time we are boo'd. the other teams no that, we talk about the fans being the 12th player, true but usually works for the other team when they hear us booing our own.
02 Sep 2024 15:35:54
JButland I get you need to do pressers and be positive for the masses but what were the positives from the game you saw/ took part in? Also there must be something you can take for the shopping trolley-wonky wheel - syndrome you have where you can't turn left. As someone said on here now you know why he wasn't at the euros.
1.) 02 Sep 2024 15:53:46
How many clean sheets in Europe or against celtic has jack Butland had? I can't think of many.
2.) 02 Sep 2024 15:58:04
Thats Tav got the message i'm hearing he has packed his bags and is off by Friday - strongly rumoured Hagi and Dessers also going to the Desert lands by Friday.
3.) 02 Sep 2024 15:58:05
Most of us agree that Tavernier shouldn't be at Ibrox or should lose the captain's armband as a minimum. Question is, who should be given the armband? Only one in that team with any real bottle or will to win is big Balogun and, apart from his inability to play regularly, he's probably on the lowest wage at the club. I don't see either Souttar or Butland as future captain, so who do we think gets the honour?
4.) 02 Sep 2024 16:21:55
Who for captain. Now that's a very good question. It is evident we don't have any leaders on the park so a very difficult conundrum. I really don't know. And that is a sad enditement of our team. No one good enough. No leaders like Greig, Butcher, Gough, Ferguson. It's just pathetic!
5.) 02 Sep 2024 16:23:00
Barron as likely to be with us a very long time and CM and Scottish - was hoping propper but not seen anything yet from him - Butland would likely get it though ??????.
6.) 02 Sep 2024 16:27:00
I was thinking the same StillBlue about captaincy.
Balogun but can’t play every game
Souttar is never a rangers captain
Sterling could be but is he going to stay fit
Propper was captain at previous club but jury is still out on him
Barron? Too young?
Diomande was a captain but many are starting to turn on him
Leaves Butland but his performances haven’t been inspiring lately.
7.) 02 Sep 2024 16:38:02
Now that would finalize the clearout and we move forward as a team that we can follow with pride. mistakes will continue but on our terms. It's a long season ahead.
8.) 02 Sep 2024 16:53:26
I’d go for Propper who was captain of his last club with Butland and Barron…as could see Barron being a future one.
9.) 02 Sep 2024 17:04:07
Dessers won't be allowed to go unless it's silly money.
10.) 02 Sep 2024 17:28:29
Prob would be sterling at this stage?
11.) 02 Sep 2024 17:36:47
I'd have sold him. The money we could have got could have bought better outfield players as they are more needed plus kelly would be alright.
12.) 02 Sep 2024 18:22:35
Ows no danger is dessers going. I don’t think Tav is either
If Tav goes it’s the 1st thing big tel ever go right on here.
13.) 02 Sep 2024 18:47:07
Brutal though he was yesterday, what will we do if Dessers goes right now? Play Danilo?
14.) 02 Sep 2024 18:11:00
Prefer outfield players as captain, not sure why Butland would be a candidate, no obvious candidates for me.
15.) 02 Sep 2024 18:16:53
Tav clearly is struggling to keep up, so I would put Sterling as RB and try the new guy (Kasanwirjo) at LB. Jefte seems a decent player, but not as LB.
Not sure who I would put as captain TBH. Butland would have been my first choice last season, but not convinced now. Desserts seems the only other player who is not scared to shout, so maybe try him.
16.) 02 Sep 2024 21:53:47
Be balogun all day for me if he was a few years younger and played religiously. Excellent professional.
01 Sep 2024 15:47:29
So not good today but tbh not totally unexpected - Same issues both mental and experience not being solved and made their midfield esp look like a La Liga team.
Couple of things.
- The board are being reamed on here. What can they do in the short term that wouldn't put administration back on course? We can't spend what we haven't got - Legacy incompetence.
A new CEO def needed, but the names being put forward don't excite or convince. Head hunter needed to get an exec that has turned around sports businesses in trouble and improve processes top to bottom and get some SME football advisers on board - Had enough been done to source stable investors in US or at home?
- Team recruitment we're looking at least 3 windows just to get a team that can at least compete, but can we stop them winning?
- Repeat what's been said before - PC is on a mission but he's not Tom Cruise and didn't sign up for Mission Impossible - he was sold a sick puppy by the board - he will go if things don't change as he has history then we go back to square 1 and threat of administration
Vicious Circle an' that.
29 Aug 2024 12:17:05
It's either a worry or tight security at the club that X doesn't have much rumours kicking about - it's usually busy at this time.
Saying that the other mob are struggling with choice picks even with the megabucks.
A gripe I do have is media throwing the £40-60M CL figure about - Aye if they win all their games and progress deep into completion. Which we all know they won't.
1.) 29 Aug 2024 12:36:35
They have money but they won`t spend it as long as they think that they have us beat with what they have . They know they can`t spend enough to do anything in the CL so why bother. So far they have signed two goalies for a combined £1 million, spent £12 million on making two players that they had on loan, permanent and got a young left back in, on loan . They have sold their best player so unless they splash the cash in the last two days you could actually argue that, for all their money, they are actually weaker than last season.
2.) 29 Aug 2024 12:48:41
34 Mill predicted total earnings. Been a table of earning posted on gers previously.
3.) 29 Aug 2024 12:53:21
Losing hart and gaining schmeichel could also be argued automatically made the stronger, apart from anything else.
4.) 29 Aug 2024 13:52:45
9 mill idah, bid 10 mill for engels and 6 mill for another lad. Plus a strongers keeper.
5.) 29 Aug 2024 15:14:20
Idah was there last season Paul, you forgot to mention they lost a player with about 40 goal involvements, very close call between Hart and Schmeichel.
6.) 29 Aug 2024 15:19:21
They have also Bid 5 million on Auston Trusty the same one Rangers bid for last year.
15 Aug 2024 14:17:27
Jeez man this is proper meltdown time. First time in a while I looked at DR opinion for fan phone in - looking at some "fans" comments might as well go back to 2012 and start again. Worst I've seen and heard in a long time. Glad I'm down here most of the time away from it ?.
1.) 15 Aug 2024 15:38:52
HertfordGer, I'm certain a lot of those Fans are not Rangers Fans. One thing I would say, the Fans pay a lot of money to watch Rangers, and they are entitled to an opinion, currently the players we have are not capable of producing the standard required to succeed in Scotland, far less Europe.
The financial situation we have just now is no different than what it's been for the past 10 years i. e. it's one of many rebuilds that we have had since 2012, and, we are still wasting money, the massive last 4 years earnings from Europe should have been more than sufficient to clear any financial constraints, but again, we stumbled from one Court Case to another hemorrhaging money to Charlatans due to wrong decisions by the Directors at that time.
I feel at present that I'm seeing nothing different at the Club from the style of play to the silly mistakes that are still costing us money that could've been invested in the playing squad, this folks is simply my own take on where we are today.
2.) 15 Aug 2024 17:15:37
So what ye saying portger ? I’m a fan and until recently a STH of 20 years so I get the cost and underperforming team. What I don’t get is the doom and gloom end of the world key board worriers esp after it’s understood the team has been under a revamp that will take more than a couple of months. I think the CEO or whatever Bennett is has to take the blame and or take on the legacy of blame and hold an emergency AGM on exactly where the club and business is and is going forward.
3.) 15 Aug 2024 17:53:39
Hertford In my opinion the worry times r here right now.
Anyone hearing there will be no more signings.
4.) 15 Aug 2024 19:32:13
HertfordGer, please don't think I was belittling your support and many others loyal support, my Wife and I and my 2 Sons also included in that. I agree that the Board has to take responsibility for a lot of our current problems, but I would draw the line at getting rid of John Bennett, I firmly believe his heart is as blue as ours, and as John has said, what would happen if he had enough and sold his shares and recovered any outstanding loans, TBH I cannot see any easy way out of this shambles, my comment was really pointing towards us having been in a mess for far longer than what we are now, and something has to change and soon to try and stop the slide in fortune.
03 Sep 2024 19:43:57
Well that makes me feel a whole lot better Feck.
27 Aug 2024 18:53:26
Chris Jack he say Nah ain’t happening.
27 Aug 2024 08:31:25
Can’t see that this close to window closing and I think it would be a big error as he’s finding his best form.
16 Aug 2024 10:09:20

14 Aug 2024 09:57:13
Totally agree BB at least some are seeing the real picture here and not a knee jerk.
03 Sep 2024 14:41:11
The sooner we get mixed teams league the better for sanity and coefficient ?.
02 Sep 2024 21:10:15
Or to make sure if he does jump ship the compo is higher.
27 Aug 2024 09:35:08
Pretty much the starting team I think.
20 Aug 2024 22:55:47
We’ll run club working within their means, competent board and exceptional management team that inspire above their club level. Bottle it and make a fortune. Simples.
15 Aug 2024 17:15:37
