Am sure I read Defoes wages at Bournemouth was £130k. I know we're paying a % of that. Widely reported we're paying £65k+ a week for defoe. That can't be right surely?

What normally happens is there is a loan fee paid to offset the wages. I could see Rangers paying £1.5-2m fee for loan signing for a season which equates to £30-40k of what Watford are paying him in wages with us having to pay the other half or close to it.
Would be brilliant signing IMO and if Alfredo is away which is more than likely his £20k wage plus Herreras who’s left would give us the wages we need to pay him.
Even if it it paper talk it’s exciting to think that we can potentially afford a big hitter to replace Alfredo.
Can see him going for £10m plus several add ons.

Yeah I just meant that surely it doesn't matter what they are earning - whether it be 70k a week or 100k + that Defoe is on. If their parent club decides they are going out on loan, then the club loaning the player won't be paying the whole wage, they pay a fraction of the salary. We can't honestly say because a player is earning XYZ there is no way he will come up here - we will only need to pay part of a loan players salary.

The only one of those 3 that have recently left i have an issue with is Murphy as i feel he is better than most of what we have for that position. McCrorie and Docherty just weren't good enough, when SG came in he said RM had potential to be future captain so you have to wonder what changed? the boy went to portsmouth last season and didn't do anything down there that made me go we must get him in our squad next season.
let's look at the 3 positions he could have played:
RB - never getting in ahead of Tav and Patterson is better imo.
CB - Goldson, Balogun, Helander, Katic (when fit) . he maybe gets ahead of Edmundson but even at that he would be 5th choice.
CM - Jack, Kamara, Davis, Arfield. lots of debate on this one but he certainly doesn't get in ahead of RJ or GK and imo i would much rather have davis and arfield as options going into big games than McCrorie.
I hope the lad does really well and makes a good career for himself but he wasn't going to get near our team, not because SG wouldn't give him a chance but because he was way down in the pecking order for all positions he could have played.

Everyone know Sutton is a wind up merchant which is fair enough, i couldn’t give a fccck about his opinion, but when he is commentating on an old firm and he is clearly biased to one side it could lead to problems, he was having a go at morellos live on tv, surely this is not sportsmanship.
