Blue blue sea. So if someone comes on and doesn't toe the party line they are a tim or previous banned.

I'm of the opinion that instead of fighting with the SPFL and going along with our board.

We as fans should be asking more searching questions of our manager and if he is the man to lead us and questions of the board regarding wasting time and money on a futile and embarrassing dossier that was never a smoking gun.

But oh I have a different outlook and opinion from others so that's cast aside.

Remember smoking gun was a press headline at no time did rangers say we have a smoking gun never
So you obviously think SPFL are doing good job? Can you expand on that? Can you explain how their actions are acceptable in terms of governance? even they say lessons learned
The embarrassing part you mention, 31% of the members didn’t agree it was embarrassing only one mouth piece from we know where said it’s embarrassing?
As for manger we know your opinions from before so pointless looking for objectivity
No doubt he’s made mistakes and we were woeful after break
But as far as our club is concerned I’m forever in their debt for at least having bottle to go after this shambles they run our game.

Cheeky

Generally I agree with you whether you are a Celtic fan or not.

We have the right and were correct to take the challenge to the SPFL on the basis it is the correct thing to do. I believe that going all in as we did was a mistake because we do not carry the strength and influence we once did and are still in recovery from our demise in 2012. This is a further step along that path. Although we have now highlighted the problems, I suspect we will lose further influence at the SPFL AGM in July when the new SPFL board is voted on. Can’t see Stewart Robertson being voted back on.

You are also right that this conveniently covers up how poor we were from January onwards. Things had definitely improved the first half of the season and whether Celtic are a good side or not we were just about keeping up. Bottom line for me is that we are short of the máin ingredient to win the league which is a team with winners in it. This takes finance as these players cost to buy and are paid more. I don’t hold SG to account for this as he can only operate with the budget he has which we all know is limited. By his own admission he has been shocked by the lack of winning mentality since Xmas

All of this means that until we fully recover financially and regain our influence fully within the football institutions and other clubs we will continue to be on the back foot.

All we can do is continue to support the team (on and off the park) until we are there. This will be expensive and needs us all to stay the course.

Hi all long time reader

I've red with interest all your comments regarding the SPFL and the vote against.

Just because other clubs don't agree with The Rangers doesn't mean they are all wrong and we're right. Everyone has a right to their opinion and vote how they so wish without reproach.

I wonder how many of us on here would actually be crying, shouting about wrong doing and corruption, shouting for change if it was Celtic who put forward the motion.

Think about it.

Or would we be making a mockery of it and them. Laughing at their expense at their failed attempt to get the season null and void?

All this talk about boycotting away grounds. This is all pie eye in the sky stuff. You know this isn't going to happen. Load of crap.

Instead of fighting the SPFL maybe we should be putting all our energy into our own team. The fact that we were so bad after the winter break. The fact that Gerrard isn't the man to lead us and break Celtic dominance. Concentrate on bring better quality to the club.

Let's face it, if the season was to continue as it was and Celtic where to win the league by a larger margin Gerrard would probably have walked which I don't think would have been that bad.

Instead of picking fights with the SPFL and every other team. Let's start asking questions of our own team and their failings this season.

Welcome aboard. Bit of a waste of a first post mind.

2.) 13 May 2020 21:35:25
I get distinct impression reading your rhetoric that you were a long time poster that got banned very very similar vocabulary and theme running thru every post every time and now you’re cheeky1?
Either that or another timposter.

3.) 13 May 2020 21:37:41
Let's think about the rangers. They have a board, trainers, coaches and professional staff. They'll be ok. Not puttin money in rivals teams, means less budget for them, i. e worse players. Better for us. More problems for them. Stuff them. One year of rangers boycotting away games will crush the weak willed. Does everyone forget they all tried to make us non existent? Third division. They all voted us out bar one. Boycot and tighten the noose. Make them suffer and then beg for the mighty rangers fans to come back and spend their hard earned cash in their cowardly spineless stadiums. My money won't go to the cowards. Aberdeen, hearts, Stranraer. They might see some of my cash. The rest can get stuffed.

4.) 13 May 2020 22:34:40
Cheeky 1 - I totally agree with you.

Not a chance in hell would anyone of us accept the season being null and void if we were 13 points ahead with a game in hand - let's be totally honest.

I think the board are in part deflecting our attention from our failings on the park. Now instead of asking serious questions of our manager, our players, our approach for next season and how we ensure success we are all venting our frustration at the SPFL. We are being manipulated.

5.) 13 May 2020 23:19:28
We won't win this fight against the SPFL, let's not waste any more time, effort and expense on this. To be honest, I'm getting a bit bored reading about this. Let's have some good / positive news to read about. Maybe player budget, new players, new strip supplier etc. Let's just forget and move on.

6.) 13 May 2020 23:22:24
Smiley, we’re being manipulated are we? Get a grip man not everyone is so easily bemused, we are all very aware of the failings of the team and management since the turn of the year but these are two interlay different things. I would say if you think the SPFL have no case to answer and the that we are using all this it as deflection tactics then you have been manipulated by red top rags and useless journalism. The only teams that stood to gain from ending the season early were the clubs top of each devision. that's 4 teams out of 42 how can this even be comprehended? Without a fair and proper vote where every team is given all the possible eventualities in writing and a suitable amount of time to give their vote without intimidation or threat of financial ruin, none of witch were given to member clubs by the pathetic excuse of a governing body? Rangers football club demands to know why! And I for one support them through thick or thin on the football pitch in the media or even the court room 👨‍⚖️.

7.) 14 May 2020 00:16:43
To those who say get rid of the manager I would ask who would replace him. Mention one or two possibilities who could come in and win the league. You may say Gerrard won't but in my opinion he is our best bet. I think we should concentrate our resources on the team and not on legal fees like we did with Ashley.

It will be difficult to champion Celtic until Liewell departs from the scene. He has the SPFL tied up as he put all the main players I to the positions they hold and it is similar at the SFA. Having stamped his authority on the local scene he has moved on to UEFA.

8.) 14 May 2020 01:02:53
Good post highland 👍
Cheeky don’t think I’m buying it buzz bomb 🤪.

9.) 14 May 2020 02:26:05
It will be difficult to champion Celtic until Liewell departs from the scene

Here a novel idea do it on the park like we did in December. Liewell doesn't score last minute winners for them, he doesn't pop up in the 89 min to clear a header off the line. It's the players and in the last 2 season pre x-mas we looked the part, then for some reason the wheels came off. Get the playing side going/ winning, let's do our talking on the park. Don't let's go down their paranoid ways. We need to move on or the will eat away the whole club. Let stay together (better together) and united and do it on the park like we have 54 times before.

10.) 14 May 2020 07:41:36
We're you on the holy water when you posted that cheeky?

11.) 14 May 2020 07:44:59
