MW has suggested that there are possibly two signings coming in - anyone any idea who they might be?

Bear Necessities

1.) 24 Aug 2016 21:19:02
Phillipe and senderos.

2.) 24 Aug 2016 22:54:37
Never heard him say 2 signings.

3.) 24 Aug 2016 23:24:51
He never said two signings!

4.) 25 Aug 2016 05:12:37
Senderos and marriapa
Fingers crossed
That's a centre half pairing
Can't see it happening though.

5.) 25 Aug 2016 09:57:42
He said were done when we get a centre half.

6.) 24 Aug 2016 21:48:48
Do you mean Phillipe Mexes who is aged 34? If so that would mean we would be carrying an awful lot of players over thirty, in fact we could almost make a team with them.

7.) 24 Aug 2016 21:52:25
Age wise and experience within the team Abbott and Costello maybe.

8.) 24 Aug 2016 22:48:56
Wee johnny smith, and Archie broon?
Tommy.

Apparently RFC have raised an action against SD for £4 million (+) damages and annulment of the contract.

Bear Necessities

1.) 12 Aug 2016 17:12:53
Hope this is true we've been robbed for years.

2.) 12 Aug 2016 17:16:40
I think it is fair to say, we will be in and out of court for a few years yet. The tit for tat battle is becoming a neverendum.

3.) 12 Aug 2016 17:20:28
The money would be great but I'd be happy to just have the retail contract annulled.

4.) 12 Aug 2016 17:44:08
Rangers are suing Mr Green, Mr Ahmad, Mr Stockbridge, Mr Llambias, Sports Direct and Mr Ashley in the Court of Session in Edinburgh.

Rangers hope to recover a total of £4,106,470.83 from the action. They also want a civil judge to declare the Partnership Marketing Agreement void.

5.) 12 Aug 2016 19:04:20
I recon this to test the waters. Win this outcome we could hit Ashley for retail comp.

6.) 12 Aug 2016 19:11:17
Don't think this has anything to do with the retail contact.

7.) 12 Aug 2016 19:31:49
Im guessing the 4 mil will be a bargaining chip, with the overall outcome being getting the retail contract torn up.

8.) 12 Aug 2016 22:09:48
I think it looks like an attempt to get Ashley to walk away and cut all ties. If he gets dragged through the courts AGAINIT will look pretty bad especially after the last time with his zero hour contracts. I recon we would have a good chance of winning considering his track record in front of a judge.

9.) 12 Aug 2016 23:46:14
Id like to think that Rangers legal team see or have enough information/ evidence to win this case!
On the face of it I'm sure everyone could see that deals were done without the best interests of the business at heart!

10.) 13 Aug 2016 03:22:44
Suing the founder fathers then. CG will seek legal aid the oilskin salesman.

11.) 13 Aug 2016 08:41:31
Will we be looking to do the same to Murray who sold our club on for a £1? surely that not the going price for a successful Scottish Football team, after all none of the recent stuff would be happening if it hadnt been for that man.

12.) 13 Aug 2016 09:28:03
Club was valued and sold back then for £1 because of Debt structure, totally different. Interesting to see this action move forward.

13.) 13 Aug 2016 09:39:06
HMRC leaked sensitive details about RFC leaving SDM unable to sell the club. Lloyds Bank then forced the sale to CW.

Both protagonists should get their erky perkies sued, so they should.

TBBaB.

14.) 13 Aug 2016 10:33:17
That my point. all who have been involved in tarnishing our team should be brought to justice and i mean everyone of those charlatans.
Fd why is it totally different. a rip off artist is the same no matter what hat they are wearing etc etc. our previous directors are as guilty as Whyte and Green and should be in the dock getting their just rewards. let's be honest we have been ripped off by our boards for many years and for some reason some of them are still bloody there? are we blind? or just plain stupid.
Now i'm off to Dundee bye.

15.) 13 Aug 2016 16:13:12
This isn't as good news as it first appears.

We didn't intend to take the action at this point, Ashleys lawyers have forced our hand by obtaining a court order for release of documents.

In an idea world we would have continued to build case until we were ready to proceed.

This is our one and only shot at this. Just hope our lawyers barely better than his.

Even if it seems clear cut to us, the law is an ass. Also justice and the law are not always the same thing.

16.) 15 Aug 2016 12:01:53
I agree with you there mr nice justice would be for these guys to be left bankrupt for doing such a one sided deal with s/ d.

17.) 12 Aug 2016 20:58:01
It has everything to do with the retail contract read the bbc article Rangers have also requested it be annulled the 4+ million is for lost revenue.

18.) 12 Aug 2016 22:30:47
King going to court for contract to be ripped up as 1 sided. guys need read reports and facts beforr posting. the contract will be ripped by sd and ma as they will not want this dragged throught the courts mak8ng worldwide news. mark my words. So dave king 3 fat cashley 0.

Reports that Trabs have tabled a £2.5 million bid for Tav.

That will test the water, so it will

TBBaB.

Bear Necessities

1.) 11 Aug 2016 12:11:15
I'd think we'd consider taking that money but Tav going to Trabzonspor? Hell no! Most western European players are trying to engineer cut price deals and get out of that cesspit, the standard of football is on a sharp decline and they are a bottom half club with no European football!

2.) 11 Aug 2016 12:13:36
Bye Bye Tav.

3.) 11 Aug 2016 12:13:42
I would consider it and put in a bid for Aberdeens Shay Logan.

4.) 11 Aug 2016 12:32:15
I would take that kind of money. I really like him but I see him more as a right midfielder than a right back. I think we need a right back that can first and foremost defend for the premiership.

5.) 11 Aug 2016 12:42:41
sould accept it and take Patterson from hearts for £1m. He is out of contract at the end of season i'm sure.

6.) 11 Aug 2016 12:59:09
mark pren we have a rb in hodson that is good at defending but I wouldn't take 2.5 million for him .

that's a pointless argument anyway no one with a brain would go to turkey to play.

7.) 11 Aug 2016 13:01:20
Don't think they have really offered any bid, never mind the 2.5m- just paper talk.

If they really have, we would be crazy to knock it back. He's not worth that much.

8.) 11 Aug 2016 13:49:36
I would have Hodson in the team B4 Tav anyway so there's a ready made replacement ready to go.
There's no way we should be turning down that kind of money for most of our players as long as it's ALL reinvested into the team on the park.

9.) 11 Aug 2016 13:58:36
I think if Tav is going then 2.5m would be acceptable, however what player in their right mind would chance going to Turkey at the moment. I think Tav who has numerous clubs is actuall now settled at a club who he respects and who respect him. Would be foolish to jump ship just yet.

If Tav did go I would hope Rangers would target Paterson as a replacement.

10.) 11 Aug 2016 14:13:55
How can people be ok with tav leaving!? he's creates so much for us, would be a massive miss if he left imo. He will get better at defending, then he'll be some player. Also i don't believe he'll go.

11.) 11 Aug 2016 14:28:56
Every player that wants to leave can go Ill be surprised if its a bigger club that Rangers that's for the full team. Warburton has said it many times they will leave on our terms whatever offer comes in from players I would double it right away . So in this case its believed to be 2.5m for a full back that scored 15 goals and can score you 4 or 5 free kicks? 4.5m and best of luck . Just my thoughts.

12.) 11 Aug 2016 14:51:12
bottom line - money talks - anything north of 2 mill for the club he will be gone and will guarantee not much of it will be spent on a replacement. Sticking point is Tav himself, if he is going to treble his salary and get a silly sign on fee, he might risk it. i'm sure his agent will have a get out clause if Turkey gets any worse.

13.) 11 Aug 2016 14:53:40
Think Tav will leave BUT not to Turkey, the place is a disaster. End of.

14.) 11 Aug 2016 15:50:01
Got a feeling that there may be a fee clubs interested in Tavs but clubs know our financial situation and I think they may try to put in a bid far lower than what he's worth near end if window, something like 1m! I hope we don't sell out as I think he's worth minimum 2.5m but as I said clubs know that we're struggling financially. I know we have Hodson but if anything happens to him were goosed, He ain't going to go to Turkey, maybe a lower lge prem, but unless we get offered 3m+ tempting it may be I think if he keeps developing and scoring the lad could be a 5m player this time next yr. We can sustain his wages and imo we should not sell unless like I said the offer is far to good to turn down! Just mean's that we could be looking fir a CH, Striker and a back up RB. Oh and btw what's happening with Aird? Thoughts Bears should we sell and what's the minimum fee we would accept?

15.) 11 Aug 2016 17:05:34
Steven Whittaker scored 12 goals in a season for us and he's gone far since hasn't he? End of the day money talks, short career, line pockets well u can.

16.) 11 Aug 2016 17:14:25
Warbs said there has been no contact from any clubs looking to buy rangers players.

17.) 11 Aug 2016 17:52:52
Question Bears, what happened to the Latvian kid we had on trial? He sounded promising! Can't remember his name tho?

18.) 11 Aug 2016 18:02:44
Oh and Bears there are players that Warbs has lined up there all sitting tight and it WILL go down to last day of window and that just ain't the case for us, lots if clubs and players playing waiting game, frustrating I know but true.

19.) 11 Aug 2016 18:42:34
If we really have been offered £2.5m. Take it and run. No refunds, no backsies. Thanks Tav for all your hard work, enjoy Turkey. I hear they do a lovely kebab.

20.) 11 Aug 2016 19:31:21
I agree James that no one in their right mind would play in turkey but I would bite your hand off for 2.5 mill for Tav. As you said Hodson could do a job. Never seen or heard much about him before but I get the impression he won't get a game before Tav. MW seems to really rate certain players like Tav and Kiernan so it would take a really good player to shift them.

21.) 11 Aug 2016 20:00:48
Callum Paterson no thanks!

22.) 11 Aug 2016 20:38:00
When you see the dross that English clubs are buying for £10-20m. can't understand why so many are keen for him to leave. a good season this year and he'll be worth a fortune. he's actually our best provider. he's our best right back since hutton. way better than broadfoot or foster.

23.) 11 Aug 2016 21:26:39
Theres definitely dialouge between ourselves and dundee over greg stewart.

24.) 12 Aug 2016 09:58:39
Greg stewart has agreed terms with Birmingham and will sign today.

25.) 11 Aug 2016 19:54:12
Every ones missing the point here. Even if they offered 20m if tav doesn't want to leave he can't be made to. End off.

18 Jul 2016 20:18:22
Zach Clough? RFC might be interested, although it appears to be an outside chance.

Bear Necessities

1.) 18 Jul 2016 21:12:22
Fits the profile but that might be where the rumours from. Looked a good player when iv seen him and a better than a goal every 3 games in the championship for a team that got relegated is a pretty good record.

2.) 18 Jul 2016 21:20:46
Quoted at 10/ 1 to sign him (behind Leeds 8/ 1 and favourites Norwich)

3.) 18 Jul 2016 21:34:21
Sighted a contract extension till 2017 when Lennon was in charge!

4.) 18 Jul 2016 22:04:12
The rumours are that he is leaving Bolton because they are relegated. Might have more ambition in him than Bradshaw, so perhaps if he wants recognition and hardware he could do no worse than join RFC - you never know.

5.) 18 Jul 2016 23:50:09
How much I would give my left baw for this to be true is unreal! Without a thought! My least favourite baw anyway! That wee guy is dynamite and would be far and away our best signing in the past 10 years never mind in recent history! Subjective opinion I know but it's my opinion.

6.) 19 Jul 2016 09:34:17
Looks a great rising star at 21 very impressive.

18 Jul 2016 16:32:44
I have it from a very reliable source that the Joe Dodoo deal will be finalised on Wednesday at the earliest.

Bear Necessities

I like how you rubbished this when it first came out and now you are all over it. 😁.

2.) 18 Jul 2016 18:20:49
Rafbob just read your post from 14th on rangers finances section . Well put MA man! If we could get this strips carry on sorted we would be in a right good position on and off the park for the first time in a long long time. I think a big strong centre half / leader is all that is required to have a right good season back in the spl. Wilson and Kiernan are not leaders and get pushed off the ball way too easily for my liking.

3.) 18 Jul 2016 17:57:29
Is that the very reliable source who was on sky sports, in a rangers top, with MW on it?

4.) 18 Jul 2016 18:38:41
Tomtom12?

The very man - I think I nailed it!

5.) 18 Jul 2016 18:55:42
Raftie?

All over it? A bit OTT don't you think - one comment does not make a swallow or a parrot.

These sites are all about the posters comments and peoples perceptions of those comments - we are all big boys, are we not.

and anyway it is all RFC not me or you.

6.) 19 Jul 2016 03:40:25
Cheers Djab 👍.

7.) 19 Jul 2016 08:54:42
Seems that recently folk want to categorise a signing as 'signing of the decade' or 'best signing of the last ten years'. I don't get it. You know that wee signed Lee Wallace? What he lacks in the football department (not much) he makes up for with LOYALTY, leadership, work rate, fitness and let's not forget - that guy does not do walking away. Rangers legend. Easily 'signing of the decade' and maybe many decades to come. (IMO)

8.) 19 Jul 2016 14:50:48
if lee wallace is our signing of the decade then God help us, he can't defend.

9.) 19 Jul 2016 16:33:56
Tell me your joking? The guy was player of the season last year. Both club and championship player of the year. He could've easily jumped shipped when we were demoted, like the rest of the rhats (Davis excluded) . In my book he's one of the greatest. Not technically but overall. Love the guy. True gentleman in person too.

10.) 19 Jul 2016 18:11:54
Huistra, you obviously don't know real legends. now Waldo will get the respect he deserves, and a lot of kudos from Rangers fans worldwide, along with a great career, high wage, sponsorship, and almost guaranteed future big contract to come, not too bad for a hardworking, decent player, who is a long way short of top quality.

this may be hard for some to take, but it is undoubtedly true, I love the guy, but I'm of an age to have watched, Jardine, smith, Greig, brown, Gary Steven, and many, many others, in similar position, Waldo wouldn't get near those types, but big respect to the guy, his place in history is certified already.

11.) 21 Jul 2016 16:35:26
John Brown top quality? Gers legend but certainly not top quality mate.

2.) 11 Aug 2016 11:11:40
Apart from the obvious no thanks to that one, the last thing we need is another midfielder. Disagree x 1000.

3.) 11 Aug 2016 11:41:20
yes please, take him.

4.) 11 Aug 2016 11:49:45
defo not him maybe a couple of years ago but way too fat now and not better than what we have so no point signing sum1 who wouldn't get a game.

5.) 11 Aug 2016 13:40:13
Please ;)

20 Jul 2016 10:32:09
Really, really pleased with last night - the place was buzzing with anticipation.

Kranjcar's performance was superb, as was Mckay, O'Halloran, Forrester, Haliday, Waghorn and Wallace.

the rest did really well considering they had not played a match game for months and were not match fit.

Onwards and upwards.

Bear Necessities

1.) 20 Jul 2016 11:48:07
No mention for Windass? I've seen some clowns remarking that he was poor. He isn't match fit but always wants the ball and can beat a player and find a pass. He will be one of our most important players this year as he will score a lot of goals. He moves constantly, pops up everywhere and is always in the six yards box (where Waggy should be) when a ball goes in there.

2.) 20 Jul 2016 11:56:32
I did not mention, by name, Barton either, but he certainly got the crowd going when his name was mentioned. Both he and Windass will be greats for Rangers, in my opinion, thought they both did ok, however taking into account that they had not played for a while, especially Barton, then the future looks RED, WHITE and BLUE.

Luvvly Jubbly.

3.) 20 Jul 2016 12:00:37
don't think we watched the same game halliday and wahgorn absolutely woeful both gave the ball away countless amounts of time. windass, hodson, mckay and kranjcar played well.

4.) 20 Jul 2016 12:04:33
Meant to add, that should have been a straight red card for the tackle against Haliday! Do hope it has not set the standard for this year, as it was last year.

5.) 20 Jul 2016 12:48:46
Admittedly wasn't at last nights game but surely if we had 7 Superb performances we should be beating Annan more easily.
Another post suggests Annan hardly got a touch. In that case something must've been wrong with our performance . did we not create enough or was finishing poor.
Or are people getting carried away again?

6.) 20 Jul 2016 13:25:31
Saw the game . It was so one-sided its untrue very hard to play against 11 defenders and the keeper played a blunder for me MOH of whom I had my doubts is looking much better than last year in all I think we have improved so much over the last few years and I am looking forward to every match I'm not sure about all the negative comments on our defence and how we will be punished by better rams? Who are they then? I know we won't win a our games but like last season we will dominate all the matches with possesion and shots like we did last year in my opinion we just need a bit more luck in front of goal and that will happen!

15 Jul 2016 07:37:55
English papers are saying that a deal is being finalised for Jo Dodoo but no terms so far.

I stand by my earlier comments about those posters who said he was on his way. It is easy to post on here but unless you can back it up it is all BS and nonsense.

Anyway it is all good news for RFC.

Bear Necessities

1.) 15 Jul 2016 11:53:29
To appease you maybe the Ed should consider changing the name of the forum to Rangers-Not-Rumours-Only-Absolute-Certainties-And-Definitely-No-BS-Forum. I agree It's a bit wordy but at least everyone will know where they stand.

P. S I met Dodoo in Nandos and he gave me a blood oath that he was signing for Rangers. Just saying.

2.) 15 Jul 2016 12:43:21
Bear necessities admit you were wrong and we will move on. Wether the boy signs or not it doesn't give you the right to shoot down another post, especially since as I said the boy was at Murray Park so it was hardly a wild rumour.
Instead of getting angry with wild rumour posts do what the rest of us do, laugh it off, have a joke and move on. If anyone told me we would get Barton and Niko before the rumours were confirmed I would have laughed at that so you just never know.
Even with the Ibra Celtic rumour, having read his book and knowing he was a bit of a maverick, part of me was still bricking it that just maybe it could happen, Larsson was his idol after all. I still made jokes to the contrary though.

14 Jul 2016 22:36:07
Tom Bradshaw has a signed a three year deal with Barnsley? Yes Barnsley.

I am disappointed about him not signing for RFC, but I am more disappointed that as afar ambition goes Tom Bradshaw does not appear to have any, Barnsley?

Bear Necessities

1.) 14 Jul 2016 23:19:54
The fee was always going to be the problem mate.

2.) 14 Jul 2016 23:30:05
Did Rangers ever show any interest in him? Can't imply he chose Barnsley over Rangers and question his ambition unless you know otherwise . Good luck to the lad.

3.) 15 Jul 2016 10:13:41
It was all over the papers that MW and RFC were interested. MW has stated time and time again that the interest has to be reciprocated, and if not he will move on to other players. I would take the view that the lad was not interested.

Anyway we move on to tomorrow's game - I for one will not be going even though it is on my doorstep.

4.) 15 Jul 2016 12:15:04
A doubt you will be missed anyway.

5.) 15 Jul 2016 12:48:01
MW nor anyone from Rangers never once said we were interested. Papers putting 2 + 2 together and getting 5.
I honestly think had we been in for him he would be here by now. The board backed the manager with MOH when a similar fee was involved. People being disappointed that we missed out on a player that we hadn't even registered an interest in baffles me.

6.) 15 Jul 2016 00:06:57
A fee of 650k was always going to be a problem that is terrifying for a club our size not being able to come up with that fee as that is what boy went to Barnsley for says a lot to our fans that we simply have no money.

13 Jul 2016 15:17:09
DR reporting that Tom Bradshaw has handed in a transfer request.

I am sure RFC will make their move.

Have wanted to see this young lad at RFC for a while now - more hopeful than confident.

Bear Necessities

1.) 13 Jul 2016 15:47:56
If we want him let's make the move now, pay the money rather than offer an unrealistic amount and watch him go elsewhere.

Would rather we signed him than the young Leicester player.

2.) 13 Jul 2016 17:02:14
Warburton said striker we were chasing was not one of those constantly being mentioned, and Bradshaw certainly was, plus Rotherham constantly linked with him, so have real doubts although would be pleased if wrong.

3.) 13 Jul 2016 17:28:18
Agree 100%.

SS - a positive post? Well said!

As you stated the teams we have met so far have parked the bus, again and again.

Fans have to remember MW and DW are building a new team who have to gel. This does not happen overnight, it will come and when it does we will be 100% better than what we are. Fans should also remember that we are carrying a lot of injuries, and as MW has repeatedly stated he will not bring in players for more than their worth.
