For me it’s becoming clear with every game there’s a serious lack of desire…players are going through the motions and playing within themselves.
Personally I would let Goldson go as he has offers on the table and the starting 11 is worse than last year. We haven’t strengthened the 11 one iota and we all know how that works out!

I think tonight has been coming tbh. Apart from the old firm game we’ve struggled to put a good 90 mins together for quite a while.
In the cups we seem to be bipolar which isn’t down to ability, it’s attitude and desire.
Over the season we’ve undoubtedly been the best in the land but we do lack that know how in one off games.
To my mind the spine of the team needs some work and a few players need serious competition for the jersey.
Time will tell.

Some observations from today
Itten is an impact player, Jack and Davis must start when fit, Zungu is in the wrong movie, both full backs can’t defend properly or deliver free kicks/ crosses.
I expect to see a huge reaction.

Kicks why was it that barasic delivery resulted in our only goal? He has 10 assists and 2 goals inc free kicks. Tav has 18 goals from full back worth 11 assists so I would say that’s the most outrageous statement I’ve heard in a while.
Zingy doesn’t appeal to me either and big itten still not found his feet but I believe will come good next season however. If we lose Alfredo I would want a starter brought in I wouldn’t feel confident worth itten as no1.

IGWT there's nothing outrageous about stating the full backs aren’t firing right now. A huge percentage of deliveries from both sides atm are poor. I’d add the both don’t love defending, people have differing views on how the like full backs to play. I like mine to know how to defend first.
Also I don’t think Helander is suited to plastic but possibly he was the only option.

Yeah kja9 I do agree he’s going through a bad bit of form the now mate and it’s no coincidence it’s at the same time we’ve been short in mf with jack being tabs cover when he’s out of position through his attacks also we miss arfields energy in the middle to front which helps press high and give fullbacks that wee bit extra time to get back. We’re all going through a bad patch at the minute other than perhaps mcgregor goldson davo and hagi?

I happen to agree and before anyone loses their mind, it’s for this reason. if you’re the manager and you and your back room team have spent hours working on tactics, team shape, looking at opposition, set pieces, team meetings etc and then Morelos gets sent off again and again then it’s obvious he has to go.
On his day he’s a great player and sometimes unplayable but it’s unwise to think SG doesn’t know what’s needed.
At the end of the day if the manager doesn’t win his his job on the line and he needs players he can trust.

There is no quality competition for his position, pretty sure that will be a priority if funds are available . Barker, Jones and Middleton should be moved on.
