Been reading that Pedro may use a 4-4-2 system. I like this system BUT I still think that when we play Celtic Aberdeen and poss Hibs then a 4-1-4-1 would be better.
Also Alves is going to be a very important Player for us and imo games against Accies etc should be spared.

He not only holds defence together but settles whole Team imo. I just hope that a Manager from opposition doesn't instruct a Player to constantly get into him as losing Alves would have a huge impact. Wilson must be used along with Cardoso.
Agree?

Andy18721a

1.) 29 Jul 2017 19:27:00
Nope.

2.) 29 Jul 2017 19:44:17
Wilson must be used with Cardoso? You can't be serious. Alves will start every game. I'd rather have Bates in if he gets injured.

3.) 29 Jul 2017 19:52:27
:D I really don't think the big man should play all games, Rick u patter merchant.
So need to utilise Wilson?
Yup

4.) 29 Jul 2017 20:30:12
To give us the best chance of silverware this season we need our best 11 on the park in every game, the best 11 doesn't include Wilson or Bates. Big Bruno is 35 and in good shape. Remember we played Davie Weir well into his 40's. You only have to look at the goal we lost against Marseille when Bruno went off. Wilson and Wallace made a total arse of it.

5.) 29 Jul 2017 21:25:37
centre-back partnership must be Alves and Cardoso. Don't need to tell anyone how good Alves is, the fact he's 35 and is still playing international football reguarly with the Euro Champions speaks for its self. Cardoso hasn't put a foot wrong yet. Passes the ball well, comfortable in possession and can defend. Whatever traits he's missing, Alves has them. Assuming both stay injury free, not many teams will pose a goal threat this season.

6.) 30 Jul 2017 02:14:51
Pedro like most Managers/ Clubs will need to rotate and Bruno can't play every game!

7.) 30 Jul 2017 04:08:07
I WANT Alves to partner Cardoso every single game! BUT I think we may have to rotate now and again just due to his age!
If we are 3 up after 50-60 then put Wilson on. Dunno best way to do it but i'm worried about injury and think yeah why not bring back Hill IF there are doubts over Wilson/ Bates but does Pedro have doubts?

8.) 30 Jul 2017 16:45:09
Yes, let's have our best defender on the bench 😞

9.) 30 Jul 2017 16:49:00
Need to stop playing miller for a full 90 mins every game.

10.) 30 Jul 2017 21:33:31
Keep hearing people say we must play our strongest Team BUT SURELY we know and MUST accept that we need to rotate certain Players more than others! Point being if Nico plays an absolute blinder and scores assists X amount over 90mins on Sat then come Wed he may need a break.
Bruni for his age is mega fit for his age but we will need to rest him now and again.

22 Jul 2017 14:38:59
Heard there was a Team in for Forrester think its Southport not sure. Thing is if it is a Team, like that then wwe'll be lucky to get 50k! But I'd still take it. Maybe its Southend? Either or it'll still be a low bid but that's one Player whoI ddefinitely think if he doesn't go then he'll be sitting on his ass picking up a wage!

Andy18721a

1.) 22 Jul 2017 15:23:48
Considering his wages, Andy, we won't get a fee for him. If anything we'll have to pay part of his contract up to get him off the books.

2.) 22 Jul 2017 17:07:39
Andy I believe it is Southend and I understand Pedro has agreed to pay him off and let him go for free. Probably Harry is trying to see if they will pay him more than he's worth like we have. Pity about him-when he first came he looked a decent buy but never kicked on and clearly wasn't prepared to knuckle down and work for it.

3.) 22 Jul 2017 20:35:30
He was a good player for the 6 months he was trying to win a new contract. After that he did feck all. apart from be a greedy wee so and so and not play in Dodoo for a tap in 🙈

4.) 25 Jul 2017 16:40:30
Canni wait to come third this season behind Celtic and Hibs

10 Jun 2017 23:15:48
Was thinking about Mckays future and the fact we must submit a team list for the Europa Cup. Will we be putting Mckays name down? We must get him to make a decision and surely he isn't going to act like a div.
If he is not going to sign he must let us know so we can put the strongest squad together.
Maybe he has let the Club know he doesn't want to sign which imo is the case

Andy18721a

1.) 10 Jun 2017 23:48:08
Isn't he surplus wasn't the new deal withdrawn

2.) 11 Jun 2017 02:46:43
McKay can f off, overrated numpty whose more concerned with his hair doo! Jamie Walker is twice the player with half the plaudits. With Dalcio and Candias arriving, I am more than confident he will not be missed!

3.) 11 Jun 2017 04:00:30
As far as I'm aware he knocked our first offer which was about 3-4 wks ago I think? Anyways he's sitting tight waiting for a second offer. If I'm wrong then someone tell me as imo this needs to get sorted ASAP due to the fact that we must submit our squad list for the Europa Cup.
No point putting him on it if he ain't going to sign whether he gets Transfered before or after the 18th!
And if it's Forest who are interested then you can bet we won't get a bid until last minute.

4.) 11 Jun 2017 06:09:58
Think we're being a bit hard on the boy. We don't know what he's been offered. He's every right to look after his own interests just as any other player would no matter what level they're at. As for his ability, to me he's the best young player we've brought through in last 10 years. His confidence though is shot to pieces. i would think playing with a bit of stability and more quality in front and behind him, he would hopefully flourish. Some of the comments i read about him are a disgrace

5.) 11 Jun 2017 09:32:54
Going by the season he has had I just don't think he has been good enough this season to earn a big pay rise contract, I might be wrong but in my opinion he found his level in the championship in Scotland and really can't see him cutting it in the championship in England if he ends up there with warburton or any other team down there

6.) 11 Jun 2017 09:57:04
It was clearly documented that a new offer hadn't been offered. It was just the press talking about a new one. McKay said in an interview that he can't refuse something that wasn't offered and Pedro said it was being looked at with no confirmation. Either way I rate the kid. He has potential but needs to be playing with a higher caliber of midfield to assist him when he gets cornered, to offer him options and to help him move the ball. Plus- he isn't a left winger, should be played on the right or through the middle

7.) 11 Jun 2017 10:42:04
I DO THINK that McKay will be a £5m plus player in a couple of Seasons. Whether it's here or down South in Championship he will get there. But right now he must inform the Club what it is he wants as we cannot mess around due to the time we have left to submit our squad! .
Would love to know just how much we have offered. I think we would go as high as 15k a week which due to his current form is a decent offer. But again got a feeling that his agent may have his ear plus the likes of Forest imo could prob afford to top that and give him 20k a week.
Is he currently worth that and is it a gamble we can afford. Like I said I do think that he will be a top player but we've been busy with Transfers and brought in Dalcio and Candieas.
Hyndsight is wonderful but it's how Pedro see's it.

8.) 11 Jun 2017 11:27:42
Calm down on the Europa league registration guys. You register a squad for the qualifiers and then there's another registration date for the group stages where changes can be made. Although the main problem will be having enough home grown (played for 3 years between 15 and 21 in scotland) players to register. You need a min of 4 home grown at club and another 4 hone grown in Scotland.

9.) 11 Jun 2017 12:00:02
I completely agree with you Chinabairn. Some of the comments on here about Mckay are disgrace. You can see the kid has talent. He is going to be low in confidence if he reads all these massively negative comments about him. He is a good player and we should be keeping him.

10.) 11 Jun 2017 12:34:31
Mackay has football ability but lacks commitment and offers little defensively. While to can be argued that he should not be expected to be overly defensive which is fine but he generally comes over as a bit of a wimp that does not work hard enough or commit enough to 50:50 balls!

Should he be offered a new contract, possibly. Certainly we would be likely to get more for him if he was committed for three or four years rather than 12 months and he will have suffered just like the other players from the Warburton "no aggression" policy!

If MacKay would rather play for Warburton and the so called rangers man, Weir, that, like he did with Naismith will be trying to get another Rangers player on the cheap, then we don't really want him at Rangers but surely he wouldn't want to play for a manager was a total failure in the SPL!

11.) 11 Jun 2017 12:49:05
Mckay would be great player in better team, the lad had to constantly track back because our defence was so poor with a strong back four we could let him go and flourish.

12.) 11 Jun 2017 13:10:41
McKay is not good enough to be a luxury player and doesn't contribute enough or have the courage to be a solid team player. Sorry, I'm a great lover of kids of our own coming through, but Barrie's not going to be at the level required.

13.) 11 Jun 2017 14:54:07
McKay has the ability to be a a really good player but he is to fragile and can't put in a decent tackle he always backs out.

14.) 11 Jun 2017 16:38:43
Tom! "so called rangers man" give it a rest! Weir in his playing days gave his all for the club! Next u will hit us with "mccoist isn't a rangers man" because his managerial tenure!

Absolute nonsense

15.) 11 Jun 2017 22:51:10
Parky7720, I wouldn't worry about the home grown requirements for the Europe league squad - McKay, Wilson, Bates, Barjonas and Hardie all count as they came through our youth system. And Miller, Wallace, Holt and Jack all count as homegrown in Scotland. And even if any of the guys I've listed leave, all it would take is promoting the required number of players from our youth setup. There's definitely nothing to worry about with regards to the homegrown rules.

16.) 12 Jun 2017 14:46:45
simple answer to the problem with mckay he had little service and was marked out of most games as he was only danger man we had!

if we get him to sign on the dotted line we can get more for him in transfer fee.
if we sign him up we have at least another few monthas to see how he plays in a team with more than one attackingt threat and a defence that is going to be a lot lot better

07 Jun 2017 05:48:10
Anybody else heard about a another player from Mexico that we have been looking at called Raul Rudiaz? Striker.

Andy18721a

1.) 07 Jun 2017 07:52:11
Would love to get this lad he is clinical and no doubt score a barrowload of goals for us

2.) 07 Jun 2017 08:54:13
We were linked with him early on but haven't heard anything recently and not since Herrera's name started getting linked. Doubt we'd bring another striker in unless Garner and Waggy go.

3.) 07 Jun 2017 10:37:15
Andy 1872: Rudiaz is known as the Peruvian Messi.

4.) 07 Jun 2017 16:03:52
yes he is known as the peruvian messi but messi he is not .
he has good skill but the most impressive thing about him is tat he scores for fun and i'd like rangers to get him at all costs as hererra doesn't get me excited like this guy does and we all know waggy and garner are not up to the pace of top flite scottish football

5.) 08 Jun 2017 02:39:09
Rudiaz and his agent apparently confirmed he's off to/ wants to join Cruz Azul.

05 Jun 2017 01:12:25
Anybody know if and when we will publish the dates for the home fixtures for the games. involving our development Squad against the likes of Chelsea B. Munich etc. I read that these games will try and be held at Ibrox AND they definitely should be as it's a great chance to make a bit of cash (not huge amounts) but imo I think we would be the best supported team when it comes to attendances and I for one would love to go a great day out for youngsters too. Rangers must make sure to price it well i'd say a maximum £10 for an adult £5 for a child.
Again I really hope that we use Ibrox and I could see anything over 20k attending easily.
Thoughts Bears?

Andy18721a

1.) 06 Jun 2017 13:54:16
Canny see 20000 paying 10 quid a whip to watch a kids game. Not a chance.

Anyone think that we will bring any loans in before end of Transfer Window?
Either the lad from Man. Utd or poss do some business with Chelsea that's came about because of the Gilmour deal?

IMO I think we will, ultimately I would love to see a couple of Players between 19-22 from Barca's Youth set-up! Keep hearing stories about how we nearly got certain Players on loan from massive Clubs in the past but didn't happen and wonder of it could ever happen now? Prob not with Europe in the bin.

Andy18721a

19 Jul 2017 23:32:48
Thing is its going to take time and games to reastablish our position not just physically but mentally. Teams that go to the Piggery go hoping for a draw even when the tic come to there ground its a draw that's in their heads. After what happened to us Teams mindset totally changed but things will get better it'll just take time!

Andy18721a

1.) 20 Jul 2017 10:45:10
So the answer is to do nothing and wait for things to get better?

2.) 20 Jul 2017 11:46:42
I agree that it will take time to allow new players to adjust ( how long though? ) therefore one solution is to take on an established scorer in the SPL and the most likely candidate is Mr Moult! Like him or not he does know where the goal is and is physical around the box that could benefit the likes of Fredo etc

3.) 20 Jul 2017 14:58:38
Miller?

19 Jul 2017 22:53:45
Not linking this to Redbull but I remember hearing something about Teams being able to put a sponsor on back of their Top? Does anyone else remember hearing about this? i'm sure they do it abroad! And I'm sure there was talk of letting Clubs do it here.

Andy18721a

1.) 20 Jul 2017 06:07:10
"They" already have a sponsors name on the back of their shirts.

2.) 20 Jul 2017 14:52:24
Hamilton have already done this

3.) 20 Jul 2017 14:55:12
Do Celtic not have dafabrt on the front and magners on the back

4.) 20 Jul 2017 19:11:15
It's the other way about mate

06 Jul 2017 03:11:04
So with 4-5 weeks until start of Season do we think that we will arrange 2-3 friendlys at Ibrox? Who do you think we could get? i'm thinking that most teams will have already set up their pre-season schedule!
I really hope we organise something rather than see the team f-off abroad for a couple of weeks!
What I would really like to see is for us to invite say 3 teams to Ibrox for a mini tournament same as we did years ago with Newcastle Man. Utd and Sampdoria.
Surely this could be arranged even at such short notice. I would imagine that there would be enough Clubs of quality that would like to take part. If the Club could arrange something like this I would hope that they make sure ticket prices are at a decent price! What's your thoughts Bears? We're going to have to do something! And like I said seeing the team going abroad shouldn't be on the cards! Now that Europe is gone then give the Support something! And organising a mini Cup Tournament is something that I would like to see happen and why can't it happen?

Andy18721a

1.) 06 Jul 2017 07:39:16
Can't see anyone of quality being able to squeeze in a quickly arranged tournament. If they did it would be their boy's team. Medium quality sides might be interested in a one off game. My fear is they would see it as a chance to give their forwards a bit of shooting practice.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 07:55:39
After Tuesday result 3 pub teams would do.

3.) 06 Jul 2017 14:57:12
Aye we should play round robin matches against the likes of Auchinleck and Pollok. Maybe a chance to win something lol

30 Jun 2017 16:33:41
Still think that Pedro will bring in Two possibly Three Players on Loan. I reckon that the type of Player Pedro would like to bring to Ibrox probably have a few options and whether its tomorrow or the last day of Transfer Window these Players and Clubs will want to make sure their making the right decision. Got a feeling that Pedro has a list of Players probably at the Top Clubs who have huge potential and are valued at crazy sums (ie Robertson who went to the Piggery) Anyways I do feel that Caixinha WILL bring in loans before the Window shuts and he will have top info and knowledge on guys playing in Portugal and Spain. In England there's a possibility that he could have the edge due to his relationship with Jose at Utd? And I still think that the Transfer of Gilmour to Chelsea has put us in a better position if we do approach their Club about a possible loan coming to Ibrox. Still being in Europe would be immense on top of everything else our Club can offer.
Pedro serms to be well respected and definitely carries a fair bit of CLOUT especially amongst his fellow Countrymen)

Andy18721a

1.) 30 Jun 2017 17:15:21
He said no more than two on loan Pedro is actually building a team for rangers not someone else

2.) 30 Jun 2017 20:19:53
It's been said before and I'm going to repeat it, I'd much rather be giving our youngsters game time and experience rather than give into youngsters or fringe players from other clubs by signing them on loan, and to be honest I think it's time to start the ball rolling with wee Hardie instead of watching Waghorn waste chance after chance week after week

Dunno about that Mcc. At least he will prob have 6 months of first Team football and it csn only benefit all parties. Maybe even help St Johnstone to a result against Teams like the Tic Sheep and Hibs.

Really can't see St. Johnstone paying more than 50% which would be around £3.500 a wk but I would hope that we would try and get at least that! In fairness to St. Johnstone Moh will prob be their highest paid Player! Hopefully this will lead to him coming back a better Player and/ or another Team seeing him play for St. Johnstone and becoming interested.

Yes, definitely off to St. Johnstone. just wonder how much their paying? My opinion is 50% poss 60% but at least it trims the squad and will put him in window and he may come back happier and a better Player. All good I think.

Think Wilson will come good the lad did show potential at the start of his career so much that he got caps and his big move and I don't think you can lose that. He does play much better next to a established CH tho

Also think the guy is a more Attacking Central Midfielder.
On another note I just wanted to say that we know his nickname is Gullit BUT has anyone seen this guy get his head on the end of a cross! He got great technique much like Ruud! Anyways the guy is a monster, who btw CAN PLAY.

First thought Miller but he's been playing all friendlys so bust up must have happened yesterday or day before.
O'halloran to Hearts loan along with 5/ 600k for Walker.
Wags to Champ / League1 Club fot 3/400k due to better performances of late.

Agree about Windass although he must step up this Season and show Pedro and us what he can do.
But again if reports are true that Teams were interested in him and a bid of around 4-500k being mentioned after what he has shown us! Then these other Clubs/ Managers must see something?
I even remember Rafa being interested in him!

Do not think that the Club will go through same rigmarole as Walker with McLean AND I could see things pass by as per usual and come Jan the lad signs a pre-contract without all this palava. If we are going strong especially dominating tge sheep then yeah.
No point making waves the now and spending money we do not need too.
