I have read all the stuff on here and in the media about Manchester City. Is it a witch hunt as these are serious allegations and it must be a worry for the City fans? The people now investing in EPL clubs are obviously in it for gain and not the fairness of the game! This comment is not being jealous towards the English game which I absolute love watching but the EPL is rotten to the core!

Yately in my opinion after what we experienced it's not fair to punish clubs for the greed of businessmen they are the ones that should be punished. It's time caps were set on wages and transfers and also they should be looking at a maximum amount of transfers every season. Clubs should also be fan owned in the future but these tycoons will never allow that.

As much as I think finance is a blight on the game I find the whole FFP stuff is really strange.

It means that football is the only business which you are not allowed to invest in your staff. If it were limits on how much debt a club could have it would protect the clubs/ fans from dodgy owners more than being percentage of revenue based.

For me it's a mechanism to maintain the established order of clubs like they are.

I bet the Man U, Liverpool etc. fans will be up in arms about City but they will be happy for thier own clubs to spend hundereds of millions on players. All very hypocritical if you ask me.

I watch MOTD every week and the EFL highlights so I am not saying this from any anti English perspective. Only stating that as know this can come across that way.

TG how is it hypocritical of them?

Also is it not hypocritical of rangers fans saying this as we spend a lot more than the rest of spfl apart from Celtic.

My point is its OK for them to spend incredible amounts on players because they have bigger fan base but City should not because it's coming from rich owners. As long as the owners are not putting the future of the club at risk what difference does it make where the money comes from. Hence my point about allowed debt rather than revenue being a better protection for the clubs.

I understand City are slightly different because they have allegedly broken FFP. But FFP is a flawed system where smaller clubs are restricted from competing with larger ones. City should not have had to resort to underhand methods just to invest in thier own company. From a business perspective it's absurd that they are restricted in this way.

For Rangers fans to be the same we would need to have someone buy say Hearts and start pumping millions into them. I personally think that would be great for Scottish football.

I think best thing that has happened for Scottish football in years has been the creation of the Conference league in Europe. Hoping some of the smaller clubs can use that to get closer to the old firm.

Might sound a bit silly for a Rangers fan to say but I would be chuffed for Hibs, Hearts if they won the league. Maybe less so Aberdeen because I don't like them. Since it has been nearly forty years when somone outside old firm were champions it would be a breath of fresh air for our game.

Liverpool net spend isn’t that much in grand scheme of things Man U am unsure of as I don’t like them
At all so don’t care about them. So I wouldn’t say it’s hypocritical of them to say that about city. Man City will never be a big club.

To say city should know thier place and not aspire to develop the club is total crap. Why should they not? because you say so, aye right.

Also the nett spend last 3 years is very similar for Liverpool and Man city.

Our club has also invested out with our revenue in order to get back to winning the league. We would not have been able to increase our revenue without that investment. According to you that's ok for us but not city.

As you don't seem to know what that is, it's called hypocrisy.
