Probably going to get slaughtered here but outside the old firm the rest of the league is not great in any way shape or form.

I always thought Alkmaar would beat Dundee utd over the two legs but 7-1!

I think the spfl etc need to sort things out there are leagues similar or smaller to us that make more money in their TV deals etc.

I genuinely think though for the betterment of the full league if we did get a better more sensible deal then Celtic and rangers should both at least consider taking slightly less and allowing some of the money to trickle down to other clubs as let's face it the spfl winners pot is not exactly our bread and butter it's like peanuts.

I'm not daft and realise as I'm writing this that even that as much as it may help smaller clubs survive and get better facilities or academy players. The money they would make won't exactly help much in senior transfers given the economy of football and prices etc these days.

Surely there has to be some form of discussion to help us improve our game and maintain certain standards.

Defo think we should look to phase out artificial surfaces in spfl even if it worked on a loan agreement to be repaid once a team is promoted.

It did not affect the tims today HK mate, excuses for injuries and not winning is a farce as far as I can see mate.

It was Killie that got beat on their own plastic .

Personally I do not see it as either our Job or Celtics to help improve the quality of the opposition. The best way forward for both are that we get out of this hideous league and into a more competitive one with significantly greater prize money and an opportunity for the two Clubs to be more competitive in their own rights.
We should not be subsidising Scottish Football any more than we already do!

If the powers that be want to improve Scottish Football the removal of artificial surfaces is only one of a number of changes that are needed. There needs to be a total restructure of the game, mergers and amalgamations of Clubs, (and yet I know that won't be popular with supporters of this clubs but for me it is the only way forward.

Also, get away from one man one vote, the idea that a club with less than 1,000 supporters and an owner that is only there for their own self gratification should not have the same rights as Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Celtic and ourselves.

Time to also get rid of Doncaster and Co!, and replace them with people with credibility!

Yeah but even that put aside and they were playing a team considerably better than them. It's more in relation to injuries etc as well. I can't think of many other games I watch that are on a plastic pitch. Tbh some of the so called smaller or similar leagues to us seem to have better standards and governance.

Issue with most of the other Scottish teams is they have no money, incredibly poor crowds and mainly really poor players. Watching Almeria v Madrid game and they are just up from division below I think and the stadium is packed. Some of our crowds are embarrassing and let’s be honest Besides maybe a hearts v hibs and the old firm matches who in their right mind anywhere in the uk would what to watch killie v st j or st mirren v Motherwell - just brutal to watch and really poor standard. And no matter how we spin it results like crappy Utd getting pumped 7-1 just back up those arguments for those who say our league is shi*. The old firm are massive globally and it is the only reason there is any interest in the SPL. No passing down any cash will ever help the st mirrens etc to perform any better.

Supetally, stadium was packed because it was Madrid, Same as EVERY stadium in Scotland is a sell out every time Rangers or Celtic roll up.
Talk about subsidizing 'smaller' teams Rangers doubled every teams annual budget on the way up through the bad years. Never heard any thanks then.

Not only was it Real Madrid they were playing, but Almerias Stadium only has a 15,000 capacity so not exactly surprising it was packed full.
