Where do we all think basseys best (potential) position is.

Now troops must meaning here is if u could decide right now using only his attributes, not team mates etc. as your guide where do u use him next season.

CB for me, as long as he has an experienced partner beside him for the short-term as I would say he is still learning in that position.

At this moment in time imo calvin bassey's best position is left back ? However as his career goes forward it's every chance that left centre half might become his best position ?.

I think he’s comfortable in both positions and like having him be able to switch between them. What I would say is, quality left footed cb’s are hard to come by and if this becomes his position then we will profit more from that eventually. There are many many rampaging wing backs around.

I originally thought left back but now I'd say cb, his pace n strength are unbelievable and me personally think it's better suited to cb.

Bassey isn't intelligent enough to be a centre half too many times caught ball watching. If he's that good an overall player. Put him right wing then that will be the problem solved.

With his energy, one on one defending and quality going forward I would say LB. Offers more defensively at the back post where I feel Barasic is especially poor.

Good wee poll to gauge an idea
Was a lot closer than I expected tbh.
I thought left back would win easily.
Reagardless we have an exceptionally god player on our hands.
See Bayern are getting 8.5m for the English left back they signed from reading I think it was?
If that’s the bar then bassey is £30m all day.

That's why I like him there Deemc.

His power of recovery is unreal, so even if you get past him he still has a chance to get back.

Good insurance policy for games we will most likely be pushing up the park.

Boo123. Bassey is only 22 and has played the odd game at centre half. It takes players years to learn that position, of course he’ll get caught out. To say he’s not intelligent enough to play it is harsh and unjustified.

I've seen him enough McMinn to tell you he's never a centre half. My opinion mate.
