Watched a lot of Lowry boy has talent, has that boy of magic in him but barry was a totally different player to what Lowry is / will be, completely different players, Lowry can change games but he will never control games and I don't mean that disrespectful just purely position based.

It would be good to give the lad a fair crack at some games Bankie and, in that respect, I agree with what you're saying. However, I think GJD83 is bang on in what he says about Lowry's potential to impact on - and control - matches.

I’d be disappointed if Lowry only gets 15-20 appearances this season. Can’t build a team around him but I would like to see him establish himself as first choice across the season. The boy looks like he has it all plus that a we added streek of arrogance that’s needed but in a good way. He doesn’t look scared of anything so why not. Hope he gets the start in the friendlies coming up and gives Gio no choice but to start him when business starts properly.

Advocaat did not build the team around Ferguson, he played him sure but alongside GVB, Numan, Kanchelskis, Amato and Hendry who he brought in for huge money at the time and guys like Albertz and Amoruso who were already there. Lowry should get game time but let's keep the pressure off for one season at least.
