Getting beyond sick of all the negativity in regards to Rangers just now. Every media story relating to our current players is how they want to leave or are about to leave, for low end fees.

Now the rags are running a story on how Colak (a guy we've no even signed yet) is more than replaceable for PAOK and they'd be well advised to punt him ??

Fans moaning about the lack of signings, claiming the board are not backing GVB. How do you know that? For one, it's still early in the window, lots of time to get deals done.

Perhaps GVB has told the board he is more than happy with the majority of what he's got? I mean, this is a team that got to Europa League final, no like it needs major surgery, just a few quality additions and these type of players take time to identify and get over the line. Nobody really knows from the outside.

Judge the window when it's over. In an ideal world new players should be onboard when we head to our summer training camp in Portugal. So until they go, i'm not going to moan if players are not signed up.

As far as I'm concerned we have the basis of a good team. The priority should be securing the players we have on longer contracts. If they do we don't need to make wholesale changes, if they won't sign then you need to shift them on and re-invest.

I'm sure that's what the club will be doing in the background.

Everyone wants to see new signings over the summer but a bit of patience should be applied. Not saying people can't be disappointed at the lack of new faces as things stand but totally slaughtering the club when there is still plenty time left is daft.

Keep the faith.

We have secured some players on longer contracts already Fruit - MacGregor, Goldson, Davis and Arfield. Is this the priority you speak of?

orygbmb, was more in reference to the ones like Morelos, Aribo and Kent. The ones with a year left. If they won't commit to new deals we should try move them on so we don't lose them for nothing.

Storm, yes that is a valid point. But it’s still not a team that’s needs wholesale changes. A few quality players added to an already good squad would see us ok.

I agree with Fruitbear, it really is so important that we get Aribo, Morelos and Kent signed on new contracts or we have to move them on and objectively use the funds to replace them. All three would have been a greater priority for me than both McGregor or Davis.

Apologies Fruit me just being pedantic and showing my frustration with extended deals given to a certain few when we could use the finances more constructively, you have made a valid point although Storm has also made a good point regarding the league, we need younger blood in the squad to take us throughout the long season, we do seem to be building very well for the future with the young lads being brought into our club but we need young first team players who are ready for the 1st team now. ( I do appreciate we are still early into the transfer market and my fingers, toes and eyes are crossed for some good news in the near future ) . my opinion.
