IMO we need a scotland manager who will let our players off the leash because we have talented players within our squad at the minute. Steve Clarke isn't the answer to have them playing to the attacking strengths that i honestly think is within this scottish squad of players just now ?That bungling mob called the SFA will do sweet f**k all, but should be thinking out the box to replace clarke as scotland manager ?.

No interest in Scotland at all my only concern is that they start to play some of our boys .

Terrible result against a poor RoI team who scored more goals against Scotland than they have in their previous 12 Nation League games!

Agree with your sentiments but sadly the SFA would rather keep us as we are so long as they get their perks than do anything for the good of the national game.

For the SFA

Thinking is a punishable offence.

Thinking out of the box is simply beyond them.

Might be a little bit of an over reaction after a bad result. 3-0 flattered Ireland although that was a very poor performance from Scotland. I’m sure we’ll do fine in the group, my understanding is we’ve won one and lost one? I’m also confident that Clarke was the first manager to get us to a major tournament in 20+ years? Yeah, let’s sack him after a poor game. I hope your a little more patient with Gio this year and I’m not needing to remind you around November time that he got us to the first Europa cup final in 14 year ??.

Best crop of players we have had for 20 years and some good young players coming through. This is embarrassing to watch. Should be doing so much better than this and desperately lacking a goal scorer. My concern is there is no one else to step into the managers role.

He seems to think it’s an under 10s boys club and he needs to try and give them all a game. Why is this moron in charge? . Looks like he’s always nursing a hangover ? and has as much charisma as a week old dug turd ?.

Don't think it's one bad result though Dado. Sets up any bug game not to lose instead of trying to win. Ukraine game recently, played off the park. Celebrated a 0-0 with England at the Euros like they had won the thing and that was after being skelped against Czech Republic. Scotland got to those Euros because of a generous expansion of the number of teams, qualifying was in spite of Steve Clarke's management, not because of it.

It will never happen BAR72 because like me you know what that useless mob the sfa are like mate ? I would like an attacking thinking coach who would let our talented squad players off the leash ? Someone who can get the best out of the players we currently have at our disposal ?I would like a davie moyes although i know he wouldn't entertain the scotland job atm, a dick advocaat irrespective what age he is, jurgen klinsmann or a carlos quieroz etc ?
Some manager who can take our nation forward because i do believe we have the most talented players at our disposal, that we've had for a while and clarke can't take them to the level they could get to?Who would you want BAR72?

John - the euro’s isn’t a fair comparison, first major tournament in 22 years and we had a tough group. Wasn’t great but I was glad to be there. Ukraine - just wanted it more, I honestly thought they were outstanding, I recon they’ve have pumped most teams on that day.

Just my opinion but I think Clarke has done great and I think we should support the manager and the team through a tough patch. I said the same about Gerrard when things weren’t going great, in fact, I said the same about Gio when the team was dropping points.

The question is are the players playing for him? Once players start pulling out of squads then it’s time to call it a day, not after a couple of tough results. We’re Scotland not Brazil.

Did Italy sack Mancini when they didn’t qualify for the World Cup ??.

Mancini had done not bad before that though had he not? Winning Euros quite rightly bought him time. Read a start earlier that we have played something like 30 games against teams similar or higher than us in the rankings. Clarke has won six. If that was a league manager, it's relegation form and considering his whole thing is meant to be that he is hard to beat and wins as an underdog it's a pretty damning statistic.

Sir W, who I want and who are available and would take that poisoned chalice I don't know to be honest.
We are a 2nd rate (I'm being nice here) football nation. And no one of any decent calibre will touch it with a bargepole.

Euros because uefa made it easier to qualify.

He still got us there Storm, plenty of great managers (including the greatest of them all) didn’t. I agree it was easier but he done it. Italy winning is the same as Scotland getting there, it’s all about expectations and levels. We wouldn’t be having a go at Clarke if he was a rangers supporting manager but because he comes from the other side peoples reaction to him is over the top.

To be fair it was big McLeish that did all the donkey work prior to Euro qualification. As tbe guys have said, if UEFA hadn't expanded the numbers Scotland would have been nowhere near the finals.
