Quick question. People had mentioned about the possibility of John fleck and how well he has done with Sheffield United. If this is the case how come he isn't getting picked for Scotland squads? Genuine question, because if he was doing well he would surely be in squads! Or is he injured maybe?

Orange Clarke picks his favourites
Fleck certainly doe not fall into that category, I’d rather our players don’t play for Scotland.

Totally agree with you John.

John I agree with the vast majority of your posts however I’m not sure about this one. Playing for your national team is mostly seen as a great honour and I look back at the likes of souness and mccoist thriving for their nation. Regardless of who the manager is or who’s in charge at the SFA I would always encourage our players to play for their country if chosen, whichever nationality they are.

AlloaGer Souness and McCoist were of a different era. You just have to take a cursory glance at how the SFA (and their current manager) have treated our club over the past decade and more to fully understand John's point of view. They despise us and would rather we weren't here any more but we are and we will always be, no matter the hate spewing out of Hampdump.
Until this changes, to hell with the Scotland football team, I will continue to support our wee country in every other sport.

Should have worded better, although tavsonloyal post good.
One Clarke fell out with fleck, I know not a rangers player.
Jack can’t play club and country so I want him to retire. Selfish yes.
McLaughlin not included by Clarke due to lack off games played more than Marshall.
We have no other player in the frame for Scotland at present.
Souttar will probably be, after his performance against Denmark he should have started. We play a very good midfielder at ch instead off a ch
The lad hickey was so far out off his depth it was embarrassing.

The thing with the SFA and Scottish football in general is that in 2012 we were told we wouldn’t be missed. Scottish football as a product would be strong. That’s been proven all to be wrong. We are very much needed and it annoys them. So although I will always support Scotland, I don’t worry to much that our players aren’t playing for them.

John I thought they were a lot worse than hickey last night in our team.

John I honestly thought Scott Wright was at least worthy of a squad place not saying he is first team material but then again could not have been any worse than hickey on that right hand side and he will also track back and help out defensively.

I agree with that John, and to be honest I’m not that bothered if our players play for Scotland or not, I think it’s a personal choice. I take the view that certain individuals in the FSA despise us and others are just incompetent but you also have to look at the fact that we, as a club, have been touting to play in the English premiership for decades. That can’t go down too well with the powers at be in Scotland.

Since I am neither Scottish or a Scotland Football Fan my views on their defeat by Ukraine are those of a neutral. I thought they were lucky to only lose 3 - 1, and had it not been for Gordon it would have been a lot worse.
In simple terms I feel that Scotland suffer from not having many top quality players which is perhaps down to the whole way that the Game is run North of the Border. Unfortunately I don't see that changing anytime soon.
I felt that Gilmour was poor, (not surprising gven that he hasn't played much football recently), and as a result, in that first half they had little to offer in midfield. They did miss both Tierney and Patterson and they were also lacking at centre back. I am not a fan of Dykes and felt he was totally out of his depth and I feel that the tactics in the first half were totally wrong. Scotland only started to show any fight after the substitutions.
It could have been different, latter part of the game if Scotland had taken their chances and tested the goalkeeper, (who looked very dodgy), but they didn't and absurdly, as was highlighted after the game, they kept putting in out swinging crosses when in swingers, (the type that Davie Wilson used to make), they could have created havoc for that keeper.
I don't like Clark, he just doesn't have any charisma and for me he lacks tactical ability at the top level.
I feel that Scotland needs a fundamental chance in the way that it runs the game. From the CEO down the hierarch lacks quality and the SFA / SPFL Board and the one man one vote system will never take them forward.

Scotland got what they deserved last night, they were bang average and and we’ll never qualify for world cups with guys like dykes and Adam’s up front. We got a lucky goal and they schooled us last night.

agree wit bb totally, and hickey and dykes along with a few others are not international players, hickey should never have been put in that environment, clarke is a puppet.
