If Rangers qualify for the CL and Benfica don't, Rangers will be in Pot 3.
If both qualify, Rangers will be in Pot 4 alongside Celtic.
If we drop into the EL, we will be one of the top seeded sides in Pot 1.
Rangers are currently ranked 33rd in Europe on co-efficient points gained.
This season we are 11th equal on points gained alongside PSG and Atletico Madrid.
Not bad company.
And shows the benefit of a decent EL run.
What an achievement to turn around the embarrassment of Progres to our current standing over these last 4 seasons.

Spot on MPH. I honestly wouldn’t be upset with 2 or 3 years long runs in EL. Like Seville before us it gave them the lay form to grow invest and become even stronger. Making themselves ready to compete at CL level. In Pot 4 you’re more likely going to be the whipping boy there only for one reason to ensure the usual teams get the points required to continue.

I honestly can’t stand the current CL it’s a farce! The Super League was just as bad! Hypocrites all over UEFA.

God knows how the new format will work in 2024.

I saw a tweet from a Liverpool fan saying he’s going to CL final with his 18 year old daughter. In that time Liverpool have had 5 final appearances!

Anyone who is a few years older would already be completely spoiled for finals. The CL is killing football in my opinion. Watching these privileged clubs playing each other is dull dull dull. Yes this season has witnessed some incredible games particularly thanks to Real. But in the whole it’s a farce.

Despite my grumbles there are aspects of the current set up that certainly help clubs like Rangers gain big money. With the likes of Hearts now having the potential to grow if they are astute in the market and give themselves a chance to compete.

I hope they do and they contribute to Scotlands feel good factor and growth.

excellent summary mph . we have proved that winning in the el is just as lucrative as the cl. I love winning and the cl can bring on embarrassing results as the other side can attain to in the past. go wi the flow I say.

Good informed post MPH

I really hope we can make Champs League. For me our aim should be to qualify every season and if we don't progress at the very least finish 3rd in group for Europa League spot. Champs League is where its at but I've grown to love the Europa League
I just feel its more of a level playing field.

Looking forward to next season and however it pans out, not many teams will want us in Europe. Especially coming to a full Ibrox.

The rise of our clubs reputation and standing in Europe fills me with pride.

And to be 11th in coefficient is just phenomenal.
