Quick question guys. If a player is lying down injured in the box, does he still count for offside purposes? Evidently not when Sakala was flagged when I think it was CV was down, clearly playing him onside by about 5 yards. Sure big Goldson was booked for protesting as well. Has there been a rule change? If so I'm not aware of it.

I think he still plays him on, Seeker.
Apparently if the injured player isn’t serious then he plays them onside.
If it’s deemed serious the ref would stop play anyway.
VAR will destroy Celtic. How many blatant offsides went their way yesterday?

Thanks guys. It's what I thought tbh. Couldn't believe my eyes when frank connor flagged for offside 😂 As you say MPH, VAR will end them.

I don't think var would have made any difference to any of yesterday's incorrect offside decisions as var only comes into play when a goal is scored or a pen has been awarded mr p.

Agreed Stewartyyblue.
But what I mean is they were allowed the chances in the first place.

Yeah bud standard of refereeing and linesperson to be pc is shocking across the board. typical SFA and SPFL invest millions in var but still keep officials part time.

The only good thing about it, is it completely blows the buzzs of this world, argument of some sort of masonic or anti Celtic right out the water. Three not even border line offside decisions in their fav yesterday. 2 pen decisions not given one for them with big John's arms by his side to block a cross correct decision no pen vs the ex mkdons player whos arms are spread like a inflight albatross blocking a goal bound header definitely pen. Usual nothing to see here, honest mistake. but guess windows safe for another season.

An injured player plays them onside.
