Afternoon lads. Not been on as much. We were 100% rank rotten against them on Wednesday and the difference from top to bottom yesterday was night and day. Everyone fighting for each other. Saw a few posts about the bickering etc in here and to be honest the site drives me mad at times as I’m sure I do the same to others. What gets to me the most is we have a bad few weeks and some want every player binned, the management team sacked etc etc. Lost 2 in 62 is that right? . These players don’t suddenly become garbage overnight and when the chips are down really need our support. Yes it’s all about opinions and blah blah blah but anyone who thinks the answer is to get shot of x, y and zed after a bad game does not have a clue. Having 50,000 scream and howl at certain players making a slack pass doesn’t help. You pay the wages you can scream what you like? Don’t make me laugh your ticket money wouldn’t pay my golf fees never mind their wages. let's cheer them on to 56.

I don't shout and bawl at our own players while at Ibrox, but there's a good few around me who do. Every fan has the right to criticise, but a line must be drawn with some of the abuse that gets thrown about. I had it out with a poster on here when he called Tav a pr@#k on the live chat, which for me, was out of order, and is not on. Just the same as when I went OTT accusing one of our players of crapping the bed on here. Not as brutal, but I still shouldn't have done it (letting my emotions get the better of me) . If we keep with Tav here. He has been getting it for years, and no matter what he does, he still gets slaughtered. This is nothing new. I've see plenty getting the singled out treatment over the years, and on occasion, it is brutal. Criticism should be, but isn't always, done constructively! I, and many others, let our emotions take over, but there are some who constantly knock players regardless of what they've done. This won't stop! If it hasn't stopped so far, I doubt it will now. I've been guilty of saying that players need to be strong enough to brush it off, but that is wrong. Nobody know what's going on in a players head. We don't know what affect the abuse is having on them. We don't know what struggles they're going through. Just because they're famous, make loads of money, live the high life, it doesn't make them immune from mental health challenges. Maybe we should all take a step back and ask ourselves how we would feel getting some of the abuse the players get. If we're honest, I bet the vast majority would hate it, and admit it would get to them.

Spot on, I remember that live chat incident bmgh. Made my blood boil also.

Our players try their best and have off days like everyone else, but to call them offensive names is bang out of order.

I wouldn't say your criticism of Borna was OTT because that's exactly what he done. His bottle crashed big time and his performance was one of the worst ever. Because he was so bad then i doubt he will get much more game time this season. Bassey is rough and raw can't header the ball but gives 100% every time and never shirks away from a tackle and will only get better. In your biggest game of the season you don't expect your experienced players to play the way Borna did and that is inexcusable.

BMG we all have the moments at the games! But some of the abuse is beyond belief! I've heard it start after the first five minutes as soon as there's a pass back.

You could tell Collum you loved him, Paul86, and he still wouldn't give us any decisions! 🤣🤣.

BMG, I don't know how old you are, bu I've been to Ibrox and away for 50 odd years now and it's not a new phenomenon. I don't know why it is but the horrendous dogs abuse our players get and have received in the past is beyond me. I know I keep harping back but Tommy McLean got the worst I've ever heard, awful. So as I've said it's nothing new but still does nothing to help the team.

BMG excellent post. One of the main reasons i gave up my season ticket at the front of the govan a number of years ago was because i spent more time arguing with those around me who thought it was acceptable to shout at and abuse our own players for whatever reason on the day but then give up and leave after 75 mins to go to the pub. Nobody sets out to have a bad game and whilst the O. F. result still hurts like a kick to the stomach it was also down to them playing very well on the night and getting us on the back foot right from the off as much as it pains me to say it. they've responded the best way they can. let's see what the rest of the season brings.

I've had a few arguements over the years, athole, as I find it hard to bite my tongue.
Parlane I'm (say it quietly) nearing the big 50, and witnessed a lot of it over the years. I started going to the games full time during the Souness years, so you can probably work out who I have seen being singled out for a particularly nasty time during a game. One guy I particularly felt sorry for was Alex Clelland. Some of the abuse he took was shocking. But there has been plenty more than him. Nothing like tearing a young boy a new one to boost his confidence. And the thing is, the ones shouting are mostly wee fuds who would s#*t a brick one on one with the target of their abuse.
Just think about this for a minute. Some of the players who were targets of the most disgusting abuse over the years have won league medals, cups, played for their country, played for teams like Liverpool (Charlie Adam), Spurs (Hutton), played in Champs league, played at World cups etc etc. What has these idiots who spew the abuse ever done?!

Well said BMG. I stopped going because of that for a long time . Unfortunately I hear the same s××t every time I go back. It's depressing. Might as well stay at home and listen to my own foul and abusive language, at least I only offend myself.
