john25, obviously the deal never got over the line (as far as we know at this stage) . There are so many moving parts in any deal;
A willing seller
A willing buyer
A willing player
Legalities involving agents etc.

It got me thinking - i wonder how many deals bubble away in the background in a transfer window, some even getting to the line before collapsing due to any of the roles outlined above.

For every one that goes through, i wonder how many collapse?

Yes we were and I said late on it was Souttar. Obviously hearts had their mind made up and stuck to their guns, I’m pleased we did not pay crazy money late on.

Absolutely john. I could maybe have just about swallowed the fee but when i hear they wanted add-ons too i'm glad we never gave in.
