I've thought long and hard what I can add to the many many amazing tributes to a man that dominated my era of football at 47 years old! The man is a Legend and I was deeply shocked at his loss, I met the man twice in my life and he was a complete gentleman and humble with his achievements, Rangers has lost part of its self today! May the man rest in peace, Goodbye Gaffer x.

I remember as a young man after an early exit from Europe Walter and the team where getting terrible stick so I wrote a letter saying most Fans were behind him and not to pay attention to my surprise I got a letter back Walter had signed thanking me for my support. A gentleman who has made heaven a better place. God bless.
