We are holding back the careers of Patterson and Kelly in my opinion. If Kelly was seen as not being good enough to make our bench yesterday we should be allowing the boy yo go play football at another club. SG has hardly gave a young scot a chance since arriving.

Patterson is far too good to be on the bench sweep. Far too good! I was speaking with someone and he was adamant that Patterson is away in January to Everton. Apparently a price has been agreed. I don't know If anyone else has heard this?

And if we had dropped Davis, Kamara or Aribo for Kelly yesterday and we still dropped points would you have been any happier?
Same with Patterson if he had been available.
Would you just shrug your shoulders and say " we maybe dropped 2 points but it isn't that bad because we played Patterson and Kelly"?

I’m not sure we r holding back Kelly or Paterson career. The manager knows he has better. have u listenened to gerrard how we need a top heavy squad due to C.V..
People would be first to moan if we lose 8 players again and can’t put team out.
He has said we r going with a top heavy squad this season, everyone has a part to play.

In my opinion as many as were due… Ross mcorrie prime example .
If he were in a rangers team just now he would be slatted beyond belief by a certain few on here … going by his Aberdeen performances .
We romped the league last year …. Surely even for you sweep we did something right?
Or do you think if we had played young inexperienced players we would have won by 40 points?

As many know I was a big fan of Ross. I have watched him closely and the reality is he was not any where near the standard we require going forward.
This is clearly shown based on his performances since he went to Aberdeen.
However, I wish him all the personal success in his career.

Remember these guys are being assessed every day in training. Surely the boss and the coaches would be the best judges as to who plays and who doesn't?

How many young Scottish players have been given a chance in the last 30 years Sweep?
You are talking as if this is a Gerrard problem only.
How many did Sir Walter promote from the youths?
What about Souness?
What about Advocaat?
You are sounding as if we have always had a conveyor belt of talent before Gerrard arrived.
Young players need to be good enough. But Patterson has a decent pro ( and club Captain ) in front of him.
Kelly gets nowhere near the midfield if all our first team are fit.
That's just unfortunate circumstances.
People on here were losing the plot and slating players after draws last season.
Do you think young players would benefit from hearing boos raining down on them?
I'll trust the management to develop them.

Mph they are given the chance and I think Kelly should be given the chance as Davis has looked tired the last two games and been very poor.
