IMO, we should have been signing a right winger like skov olsen and a midfielder with the killer ball in either ivanic or joey veerman 🤔 This would have improved our starting 11 dramatically and the above mentioned can break the lines and undoubtedly are game changers 👌Thoughts guys 🤔.

I agree SLG but the reality is these players are currently out of our retch until we make the champions league or start generating cash from transfers. I just don’t think the money is there otherwise. Not that I’ve seen either player play much, they do appear to have a reputation which would improve our starting 11.

Our strongest starting 11 is no better or stronger than it was last season. To progress a team must buy in a higher quality of player who is instantly going to make the team stronger and take it to the next level. None of our signings from January and the summer have, or will do that. Why have we not brought in better? We don't have the money to buy these players! If we had qualified for the Champions League then we might have seen a player like Veerman brought in, but we never, and we go with what we have. Until we sell, qualify for Champions league or a bought over by some billionaire (been waiting years for that), then these players are unfortunately out of our price range. Unless, of course, they are out of contract.

Coops, did not have funds available and need to move players on before making further additions.

Not got the money to do it or we would've done that. We spent this seasons transfer budget last season chasing the CL money we blew against Malmo.

19 Sep 2021 08:44:20
Gerrard said he made most of budget. Failure to get champions league dented budget. I have said previously that most players brought in since January are not any better than the players we already had. Had we qualified for cl I think veerman would have been bought probably in place of bacuna who seems to have been a 2 nd choice at least but jury out on bacuna as he needs games.

That’s the thing guys maybe if he just did t bother buying lundstrum and Sakala and let the money from wages

We could have possibly added to that money in January and bought someone we needed instead of buying for the sake of it

and we could have used one or two young guys if needed

Still too see bacuna fingers crossed he’s decent

Too much of the time have we spent on wages or transfer fees just for the sake of it and it’s tiring getting excited to see some of these players just for them too fail

Oh and every team that has transfers that don’t work out we just have too many more than we have had in a long successful history?

7.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 09:29:50
Far too many failures for my liking.

8.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 09:57:31
I think we are going back to the road of the bread man again. Signing players from lower English clubs. It never worked for him so why would we think it would work for SG? Giving Lundstram 35k a week is probably the worst call our recruitment team have done.

9.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 10:05:48
And where do we get the money sgl.

10.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 10:13:00
I just don't see any of the recent signings improving our squad. I like the look of Wright, so far Lundstrum, Sakala, Simpson haven't shone. The other lad from Bournemouth has unfortunately got health issues and we haven't seen Bucanu yet. Anyway, tough game today, Motherwell have started well.

11.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 10:20:36
John25,if i'm not mistaken we were looking to bring in skov olsen on loan about a year and a bit ago, so why didn't that happen because we sure as hell could be doing with someone of skov olsen's ability on our right side.

12.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 10:21:00
Far too early to say If the new signings are failures. These guys meed a bit of time to settle in. However, If we have all our best midfielders fit and playing well there's no way any of the new midfielders are in front of Jack, Davis and Kamara. Same with the defence, and certainly the same up front. Sakala is a million miles behind Morelos and Roofe.
The harsh reality (which some are failing to grasp) is that we just don't have the money to bring in someone better than what we already have who goes straight into the starting 11. These players cost money which we don't have. Considering we're still top of the league, beat our biggest challenger recently, we're doing what we need to do.

Sweep! Not a chance mate! Even though I think the players we have brought in are nowhere near better than we already have, they are still streets a head of the likes of Kiernan, Forrester, Law, Halliday etc. Streets a head!

13.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 10:23:21
Bucanu looks like a depression signing to get a body in incase we lost Kamara late on in the transfer window.

14.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 10:38:15
As much as the players might be a better standard BMGH01 I'm talking about the actual transfer strategy doesn't work. To many come up here thinking its going be a breeze and fail.

15.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 10:55:44
Then they'll soon find out sweep it isn't. Any player coming to Rangers is in for a rude of wakening If that's their mindset.

At this time the financial constraints the club finds themselves in means that this is the only strategy available to us. We can't, and we must not, ever get into the mess we found ourselves in during Murray's tenure. Rangers, and Celtic for that matter, can't bring in top talent which will enable us to compete with bigger teams in Europe. We just can't afford to!
At this time, who is in the best position to win the SPL? Us, who have hardly spent a penny, sit top of the league, beat them quite easily in the end, and kept our best players? Or them who have spent quite a bit on lots of players, lost their best players who have been transferred, lost to us quite easily in the end, have lost twice already in the league, and can't buy an away victory? Be honest?

16.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 11:03:39
This probably won't go down well but Gerrard said " WE'RE LOOKING TO BRING IN QUALITY MORE THAN QUANTITY " I actually can't see this to be honest lads.

17.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 11:04:23
I don’t believe we were looking to bring Olsen in. If so I still need to pay loan fee and wages.
Whilst we fans like him does not mean rangers do

We need to in the main shop in free transfer market.
Mb we will get the 3 million each for katic and itten as they won’t cut it at rangers.

18.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 11:06:21
Good post bmg. At least u get it.

19.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 11:08:00
We are the better side just now but we are getting poorer by the week. We have hardly kicked a ball this season and if it continues they will catch and overtake us. They are building for next season as they know we have a rebuild upcoming. If we don't want the league then it could be a disaster for us because we don't have the money to rebuild if we miss out in the CL money again.

20.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 11:12:12
The new signing aren't shining because the other players have all dipped in form except maybe Roofe and Balogun.

21.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 11:29:03
If that's the case Deeb, then the new players should grasp their chance. They're not, though! I don't see why the other players dip in form should affect the new guys? If that was me I'd be all over it showing why I'm the better option.

22.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 11:43:04
If we win the league, get automatic entry into champions league, see an upturn in revenue now the crowds are back in the stadium, Europa League revenue and start to see the actual worth of our Castore deal, our finances suddenly take on a whole new look. Then we'll see real investment in the squad. Then we'll see the likes of Veerman, Olsen or even better!

All of a sudden, after getting beat off a team who are levels above us, can spend over 130m on their squad, and should be, in all honesty in the Champions league, we're back to being in danger of losing the league. What? Where's your fighting spirit? Where's your belief in your team? A team of Champions! Again, it would appear there's some ready to raise the white flag, then bend over and grab their ankles, and give it up for the tims. Get a grip!

23.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 12:05:50
That's what I'm saying BMGH01 winning the league is vital but if we don't it will be a disaster for Rangers going forward. I've went from 100% winning the league at the start of the season to 65% now.

24.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 12:32:39
Sweep fantastic negativity, I’m 100% we will win league.

25.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 12:39:53
BMG is it certain we get straight into champions league. BBC say no, Scottish clubs still need two wins in group stages.

26.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 12:44:33
John25 what's negative about it? Are you happy with what you have seen this season?

27.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 12:48:52
Gerrard would of strengthened the team if we got champions league or sold players. Veerman would of been brought in and another striker. We don't have any money to buy players so we need to use the pre contract or lower league for players. If we are top of the league at the end of the season then you will see better players coming in.

28.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 12:59:27
Yes I am, sweep, top off league beat our main rivals whilst not hitting the heights yet.
Malmö a big disappointment, Lyon much better than us.
Our challenge this year to be second at worst third in group stages.

29.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 13:00:03
Totally agree with your post hendo.

30.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 13:04:20
As far as I was aware John it was automatic entry for this season's league winner. Has something changed? I generally take what BBC Scotland say with a pinch of salt.

Do you mean 2 more victories in this season's Europa League? If this is true, surely we can manage that?

31.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 13:18:16
We didn’t have money to sign those players
So post pretty irrelevant.

The winners of the league only go straight into the champs league as long as this seasons winners qualify automatically thru league position which is more than likely but stranger thinks have happened.

32.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 13:19:45
John I don’t know how you can be happy with what you have seen on the pitch so far we have been p. poor every game bar one half against Celtic yes we are still top but have harder games to come than we have had so far in the league.

33.) 19 Sep 2021
19 Sep 2021 13:33:16
BMG I agree with John great posts at least you get it .
Sweep we are top of the league… beat our greatest rivals who have spent millions, and still you slate the team as if we are sitting mid table.
You seem to have much more belief in Celtic than rangers ., and please don’t give it your entitled to your opinion. Sometines I think when certain opinions are to the detriment of the vibe and focus of the team they are better kept to oneself .
My god it’s flag day man.

Storm because I have went to ibrox 60 years seen us regularly finish fourth fifth losing to Ayr Morton thistle et al

I’m not sure how modern day fans would cope with what we did.
