Why do we always seem to get short changed with player sales? This has been going on for years. Low fees or undisclosed.
Another issue i have is with recruitment. Why was Shankland and Nisbett for example not scouted and bought early for a low fee to then be loaned back out to progress. If deemed not good enough for us or not the right time then sold for a profit with buy back option. Players are the product. The pitch is the shop window. Really struggle sometimes to understand why foreign players are the better option.

Meant to say i really hope to see us develop some youth players and give them a chance. Watching young Patterson is what its all about. Hopefully Kelly and McCrorie will follow. Some of these transfer figures are daylight robbery.

We haven't done well in player sales since before we got demoted. I can't believe Celtic will get 20m for Edouard who hasn't kicked a ball in 18 months and 15m for Ajer who is dug meat. 2 players who downed tools and we don't seem to be getting offers of anywhere near those valuations for our players who have shone in Europe for the previous 3 seasons.

Nisbet was identified when at Dunfermline but we went for Itten instead.

We extensively scouted shankland at Ayr. It was decided he was not good enough.
Nisbet was scouted at faith and Dunfermline, decided would not improve our squad.

I am from Ayrshire and heard that shankkand when at Ayr had been up to training ground and Rangers decided not good enough that's why he ended up at DU.

Shankland not good enough and I don't see the hype with Nisbett for the money Hibs are asking.

MPH, Doig has the potential to worth massive money! One season in the big league last season and Young player of the season and numerous English teams eyeing this lad up! We in the past used to pick up players with potential from Scotland including Davie Robertson and look how that turned out!

Yateley we did not sign Robertson as a player with potential. He had been in the Aberdeen team for five seasons when we signed him for a million.

I was thinking more along the lines of try before you buy. Buy low cost loan out to review deeper then sell if required. So buy from league one/ two like leicester did with Vardy.
I do believe Nisbitt would have been better than Itten. Nisbett was bought for a few hundred grand when he went to hibs. Hibs could be looking at 4/ 5 million. that's a great return.
We need to start selling players that means scouting has to improve. See players as investments. Celtic are raking in millions for example Ajer, Frimpong and Eduard. Close to 40 million. We can't even get 10 for Alfie! And some other figures a laughable Something wrong here. Someone's not doing their job. We should be turning over 10 million in player sales a year in my opinion. Look at other clubs like PSV, AJax, Porto etc. Similar to us they have dropped down from the big guns. What are we doing wrong is what i'm asking?
