I can't believe there is murmurings that Rangers fans will be booing the taking of the knee on Saturday?
I'm hoping this is online mischief making.
How embarrassing would that be after the support Kamara received following the Slavia incident?

I really hope this does not happen, my boy said Union bears behind this.

Why would they for what reason?

We support our team whatever they decide to do! People have different opinions on this taking the knee but wether you agree with it our not, you have to give it the respect it deserves.

I think it's a great idea as it's gone on long enough.
Does this make you a racist NO it makes you against watching your football club being forced into an act in support of the BLM movement. About time it was stopped and something that should never have started in my opinion.

{Ed001's Note - why does it matter if you aren't racist? There is no forced act, that is a complete lie. It seems to me that the only reason to have a problem with it is if you are a bigot, whether openly or privately. Otherwise surely it is up to the players? No one is forcing them to kneel, quite a few are choosing not to, so anyone suggesting the club is being forced into anything is lying.}

Same reason instigated George Square embarrassment.

I don't think we or any other teams should still be taking the knee but I certainly wouldn't boo at players who did so. Black Lives Matter appears to have become politically motivated which won't help the cause of those seeking to end in justice for black people. There are other ways of protesting and seeking to right what is wrong. Sport is for people of all colours, creeds, races and religions.

If this is true it must be called off right away.

Yes they are forced into it Edd because if you are the only player who decides not to take the knee then you are the guy on the front pages of all the papers and all over the news getting portrayed as something you are not. I wouldn't be going down on my knees for anyone or anything and especially for BLM.

{Ed001's Note - utter crap. They make a joint decision as a team whether to or not long before the game. Perhaps you should remember why your team is taking the knee, before making up crap to suit your agenda. I am sure Kamara is very grateful for your support on this issue.}

I personally disagree with the knee gesture purely because of its links to the political movement BLM.

I wholeheartedly agree with the fight against racism/ sectarianism of any kind.

I believe we should stand as one like we did after the Kamara incident but I will ferociously condemn any acts of disrespect if the club do decide to take the knee.

Three cheers they club isn’t being forced to cast your mind back to when Kamara was racially abused the club issued a statement saying they’d no longer take the knee and didn’t for the final few games of last season.

I’m sorry 3cheers but you are way off the mark here. It’s also been made very clear during the Euros that (although it may of started as a BLM ‘movement / protest’) the taking of the knee is now being used as a general show of support against racism in all its forms and is no longer a Black Lives Matter or political motivated gesture. So to boo anyone for taking the knee is basically to boo someone for trying to take a stand and show support against racism. Is that what you are wanting to do? Because if so then that is not painting a very good picture. And to say it’s been going on long enough? Tell me, has it being going on as long as Racism has? Folk seem to have been ok standing back and let that happen for hundreds of years but have quickly ‘gotten tired’ of people trying to show solidarity against it. The way I see it folk should be free to continue to try to stand up against racism for as long as it takes until things start to change.

Imo taking the knee run its course after about the 2nd week of doing it so don't agree with it. but any sort of booing towards it just makes us look really bad. Staying silent for 20 secs or whatever really isn't hard whether u agree with it or not.

15.) 28 Jul 2021
28 Jul 2021 16:21:22
I’ll support every player who is abused! I’ve never been so proud to watch my team defend Kamaradona to the hilt! If taking the knee is how our team have decided to highlight racist behaviour needs to stop then I’ll support it all the way despite some fanatical political group who perhaps do the same! I really couldn’t give a ****! Taking the knee does not belong to them.

It’s about intelligence, intelligence to know that they are two completely different messages with a similar action.

Grow up!

Racism disgusts me to my core!

If I’m being totally honest, and I’m neither sectarian, racist, sexist or any or ist u can think of, I think it should stop altogether as it’s not making any difference whatsoever it’s like the t shirts the players used to wear before a game saying show racism the red card it did not make a difference.
Something more has to be done at a political level in this country and every other around the world to make a bigger difference m. Harsher punishments and more monitoring of social media’s and some form of police watchdog with powers to act upon the morons who have these bigoted opinions.
But for me the knee is kind of ran it’s course and that my just my honest opinion.

Ed do us all a favour and ban any racist or bigots people on this site, there attitude to this is the reason why things like the Kamara incident end up just getting a small ban or basically swept under the carpet and not banned from all sports for a year+ at least.

Why have Rangers started taking the knee again? I noticed they did it on Sunday against Madrid and have nothing against it but I was under the impression that during the Kamara situation he and his fellow team mates had said it was a token gesture and that they were going to make a stand rather than take the knee. If it was nothing but a token gesture to them then I’m confused as to why they’ve started doing it again?

19.) 28 Jul 2021
28 Jul 2021 17:33:46
Why is anyone surprised with this? Anyone who believes there isn't a racist element who follow our club are deluded. Hopefully the majority drown out the minority, but the damage will already have been done. If you don't agree with it, stay silent and respect those who do. Put yourself in Kamara or any of the other numerous black players who enhance our team and think what will be going through their heads when you're booing! Cretins!

20.) 28 Jul 2021
28 Jul 2021 18:24:09
3 cheers are you having a laugh? Are you joking please say you are? I don’t agree with it but if the players have decided between them NOT FORCED then I will be behind them.

21.) 28 Jul 2021
28 Jul 2021 20:16:47
No I'm not joking our club should have nothing to do with BLM we should distance ourselves as far away as possible from this sham of an organisation.
Taking a knee is 100% BLM related and has no place in our club.
The stand against racism was a great idea with everyone standing shoulder to shoulder as one in unity and should be applauded. Taking a knee in support of BLM should get booed in my opinion. If folk want to support BLM fair enough but not from me.

Ah, that's no true three cheers mate, if you had to go down on one knee to be knighted "Sir Three Cheers" pretty sure you would.

Don't know why you would be knighted tho (maybe for donating to our site via PayPal) .
