Listen, I know it was pre season against a Madrid side that only had a scattering of established stars, however I'm still gushing over how well we played as a team, desire multiple changes. Gerrard and Co really have gotten their methods and style across and spot on now it seems. And I'm certainly not getting carried away but I think it's safe to say UEFA may as well engrave our name on that champions league trophy now 😂😂 kidding on but excited about the new season.

Get I’m the same. I’ve watched Rangers for a few years, not as many as some, but I’ve been through the jock Wallace era and souness etc. I might be wrong but I can’t remember as playing as attacking football as we do now. Even under Walter smith it was always 2 up front but maybe only 1 in Europe or away to Celtic etc. We go out now and do I ate football games and push good teams back with our 3 up front and 2 attacking fullbacks. I’m not making a comparison in terms of the quality but the style that we play is very like Barcelona, very entertaining to watch.

As fans we ignore the bad preseason results ( Tranmere ) and take all the positives from the good results ( Real Madrid ) .
But truth be told, the games are all about getting the players up to speed for the first competitive game of the season.
And an opportunity for others to stake their claim as a valuable member of the squad.
Or for others it can be the last chance saloon after failing to make an impact.
And even for the new signings to get used to their team mates in a game environment.

Allow, even jock Wallace and sir Walter's teams knew how to score goals, lots of them.
That for me is all that is missing, dominating play is great, but putting the fear into teams that they are going to lose and lose heavily is a great starting point. At the minute, a lot of teams are quite happy to only have 20 or 30% possession, as long as they can scrap for a draw.

Exactly mph and Alloa, it's about minutes in the legs score isn't the be all and end all but was certainly nice to watch good football and a result on Sunday.

Dick advocaats team very just as if not more exciting amd probably a higher class of player however this is the best team I’ve seen since those first few seasons under the wee general.

Alot of people are saying it was real reserves and largely it was however, we played them off the park and had we taken our chances we could have easily taken 5 off them. Plus it was our first preseason game where we fielded most of our strongest team, although we still had morelos, roofe, aribo jack n others missing. It was our style, our fluent play without panicking against multi million pound talent tht impressed me. Also the fact i couldn't see a weak link in our team. All midfield impressed me where i feel we dominated esp first half. Yes kamara was sensational second half too but i feel hagi played without fault looked quality n hardly got a mention. I believe hagi is vastly under rated and because he makes most things look easy he is taken for granted, this is still a young man very young compared with our other players n i still believe what i said last season tht he will become our most valuable asset. He is still learning but his current game is exceptionally good, and he still has yrs too improve even more. Hopefully tht is with us, I'm a big big hagi fan. Might just be me but think he will become a big big player👌💙.

100% MPH a that’s why I wasn’t going overboard with us beating Real Madrid 1 it was a friendly 2 it was there 1st game also and in one of our 1st games we got beat by Tranmere.

Friendly results don’t matter what does matter is that 1st game on Saturday and I am hoping for a very good start.
