Celtic allowed 18,500 for their friendly against West Ham this weekend - approx 30% capacity.
Rangers allowed 8500 against Brighton - approx 17% capacity.
Rangers allowed 12500 against Real - approx 25% capacity.
Who doesn't love a good conspiracy theory? 😜.

I believe they were carrying out Feasibility Studies into increasing the capacity by reconfiguring the current layout or lowering the pitch.
I think lowering the pitch was already a no goer as it would have taken it under the natural water table in the area.
Haven't heard anything about the outcome of the Feasibility Study but I think they were aiming for an additional 4-5000.
I think it would all depend on cost and how much revenue the additional seating would bring in.

MPH, I'm 52 - there was talk about lowering the pitch many years ago. Obviously that came to nothing. Not sure the real reason as to why this wasn't followed through mate.

MPH you’re 100% correct on the lowering of the pitch as I’m sure we’ve looked into that before and with the proximity of the Clyde it would create problems with drainage that what I’m led to believe would be an absolute fortune to try rectify.
