A question for my fellow Bears.

What is there such a big hatred for the English amongst Scots supporters?

Please don't give me the excuse of wars and the like. We Norsemen were the scourge of the island of Britain for 300 years and you don't hate us.

As was seen in the Denmark v Finland match there was no need to even segregate the support. Why can't it be the same for two nations of Great Britain.

I would say majority of Scots don't hate the English Asathor mate, it's just that the haters shout louder than those of us that don't.

Its weird as the english don't hate us. They hate the germans and the argies a lot more. Some tartan army have massive chips on there shoulder and hate all things english.

It's a cultural thing mate. We are a proud independent nation but receive 99% of our media from England and it is shoved down our throat. From football perspective England game saw massive boos and pure ignorance England. Just saw start Scotland game, not peep, simply pure respect both sides, wee boys attending game and women. This is unthinkable in England because their ignorant b******* and we have every right to hate them.

Millerbrandwilson unfortunately you sound as ignorant as the English you are trying to perceive. I saw lots of applause from young children at the England match yesterday.

There is no need for the hatred and also Scotland is not an independent nation, it is a constituent part of the UK through the choice of its own people.

Nowadays it seems it's more to do with which political or at times even religious views and opinions you have, and you are brainwashed to follow suit with what's being shoved down your throats. I for one hope all home nations do well.

My work has a football tournament every year in Germany, every country where there's a bosch plant gets to enter a team. The irony comes when our representatives from the uk have 'England' printed on their top and us from the Scottish plant don't even get an offer to play, it boils my p#sh. It's the engrained sense of superiority of the English as a collective that we scot hate not any individual.
