Scotland the Brave? Or who cares from a Rangers fan perspective?
I've never bought a Scotland top.
I've never went to see them play (unless you count a school trip to see the U16's! ).

My first love has always been Rangers. You support them through thick and thin. Good times and the bad times.
The problem with International football is that it is too easy to lose interest when the National side goes through a prolonged bad spell.
But that doesn't mean I don't want Scotland to qualify for every tournament and do well.

I've been fortunate to see some great players represent Scotland over the years from the 78 world Cup up unto our last Major Finals appearance at France 98.
And I can remember rushing home from work to go the pub with my mates to watch the Brazil game in 98. Would I do that now? No.
The problem is I don't wholeheartedly support the full squad of players and managers anymore.

In the past, it didn't matter that King Kenny used to play for Celtic - he was brilliant for Scotland.
Or that the late great Jock Stein managed our biggest rivals. When he was Scotland manager we all rallied behind him and will never forget that fateful night in Cardiff.
But now Scottish Football has continually put the boot into Rangers these last few years- through jealously and hatred.

How can I give my unequivocal support to a team backed by fans who booed Ryan jack, not because he played poorly but because he played for Rangers?
Or cheer on players like Leigh Griffiths who continually acted like a ned anytime Celtic played Rangers?
Or a manager who had a wee dig at rangers in his final Killie game.
I would never support England, NI or Wales. I don't care about any of the other Home nations anymore.

In the past I loved to see England get beat as they were our biggest rivals - now we are scrapping results against the likes of Israel, Georgia and the Czechs.
Fortunately I'm working from home so the game today will be on in the background. But it isn't the be all and end all anymore.
I don't think it makes any of us less 'Scottish' just because we are not all in with the National football team anymore.
Good luck Scotland - as always we'll need it.
