I was reading a post on one off the Rangers sites on FB and they were saying there was less than 20 arrests on Saturday and the police caused a lot off the disturbance, Plus the Scottish mhedia have blown the whole episode out of proportion, What I had seen on the internet yesterday looked bad, Can someone enlighten me to what actually happened. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

Nothing short of a despicable riot mate

Many decent people went to celebrate, they shouldn’t have but they did, and went home safely, some didn’t, and got injured, pretty badly in some cases,

A girl with a Rangers flag wrapped round her neck caused “ serious leg injuries “ to a young girl at a train station, picture of about 10 Rangers “ fans bouncing on one guys head, pics of neds throwing buckfast bottles at anybody they could,

It was a disgusting mob in Rangers colours, screaming about “ fenxxxn basxxxt all over the city centre

So no, nobody else caused it.

We can be well assured that the police did not cause the trouble and the picture of fans fighting, throwing bottles and kicking people in the head tells its own story without the need for the media. 👍.

My mate is a cop who was working on Saturday. He said the day as a whole started badly at Ibrox, folk drinking, throwing glass bottles at the cops (which was before and during the game) . At full time, a crowd attempted to climb the gates to get into the stadium for the trophy presentation. Onto George Square and the city centre in general, folk fighting in Argyle Street and Queen Street (I'm told there are videos circulating showing these) . A few trying to smash the windows at the Celtic shop on Argyle St, stabbing outside McDonald's. As the day went on and the alcohol kicked in, fans started fighting amongst themselves in George Square, people falling off the monument, someone losing their hand due to a pyrotechnic/ firework. Due to this, the decision was made to clear the square. I'm told 3/ 4 left but those that stayed refused to leave and started throwing things at the cops resulting in the riot cops coming in and then we saw the videos from that point, throwing bottles and barriers and anything else they could get their hands on at the cops. Plus in the Daily record today, cops in hospital with broken arm, another having to have the inside of his mouth stapled. Don't see how the cops started it, unless he means the police wouldn't let them do what they wanted.

We as genuine Rangers fans must accept that there is a minority (? ) of thugs who follow our team who are mindless, morons hell-bent on causing trouble with no respect for the law or anything or anyone else. Drink and drugs probably fuelled most of the trouble. I just wonder what would have happened had the C.V. lockdown crisis not been in place when Rangers were awarded the title on the last home game of the season and Ibrox had a full house of fans on the last day? Would there still have been trouble in central Glasgow?
