I've got a bad feeling we are going lose Helander which will have a massive effect of us defensively. I'm hoping Simpson isn't the player that's here to take over from him because he couldn't tie the big man's shoelaces.

If Balgeuon can regain the form of early season then I don't see too big a problem. Let's see what Simpson we see after a good close season. Thought he did OK against celtic.

When Simpson left Bournemouth the fans offered to drive him to Glasgow to make sure he left. Bomb scare was the term used.

Simpson has looked shaky but will give him time edmundson has always mistakes in him the same as big katic and his passing is poor but both still young.


Helander is a good defender but his pace has always given me the fear and if we make group stages of champs league he will get found out in my opinion.

I think a bit unfair on the boy Simpson it might be the case he is not of the standard we want and will need in the new season but let’s give him more full games before we decide he won’t make the grade,

How can some on here deride Simpson when he has only played a couple of games for us? Gerrard signed him for a reason, for God's sake give him a chance!

You can't expect a guy to move to a new team in a different country who is also learning his trade to start his new job and be great. Very few players his age have the skill or talent to do that. Give the boy a chance and let our team of coaches and experienced players do the hard work with him and fingers crossed he flourishes and loves life at our great club and becomes a big solid serial winning defender.

Let the lad gel and change with the coach's knowledge Simpson isn't world class but time spent in a winning environment will improve him. Too many forget we haven't the money to buy finished articles, we do it the honest way through hard work and sweat. That for me makes our progression and success even sweeter as we have a solid foundation. Great standards 💙.
