Do you think Rangers and Celtic joining the English league would dampen down a bit the hatred/ bigotry between the two clubs? We’d go from being 2 fish in a puddle full of tadpoles to an environment whereby both teams would be playing against better opposition and would probably both be watching other teams win the league for a few years.
I’m not saying it would remove the bitterness and rivalry, I’m just wondering if it would dampen it a bit.

No I just think England doesn't need Rangers. Remember according to Celtic there is no us anymore. Rangers shouldn't worry about celtic after what they have done to us over the past 10 years. I'm happy there is no US either anymore.

I doubt it would dampen it and I don’t think it will ever happen but Scottish league with rangers or Celtic winning the league every year is boring and Scottish football in a whole is awful to watch.

Playing clubs 3/ 4 sometimes more games a season
Is boring as well but sky wants 4 old firm games.
Feck sky and go to a 16 team league or 18 yeah it will be rangers or Celtic winning each year but you won’t play teams as many times in a season.

Some good points. Could still have a promotion and add 2 more teams in, another 4 games. Saves anyone moaning from the premiership. And even if we’re not wining Paul, look at the teams we’d be playing week in week out compared to now, it would be like champions league every other week.

Yes i know but we only just started winning trophies. i enjoy it. Would hate to go south and just become another middle or the road team. Finishing mid table every year would get bit boring and not what the fans would be expecting.

Rangers n celtic would comfortably become the second biggest derby in world football behind real and barca. No engish derby can match the oldfirm and tbh i don't think it would dilute it. I think it would intensify as they know the worlds eyes are watching not just scots football fans. This would hands down become the two biggest matches of the premiership season after a couple of seasons Rangers versus celtic in the premiership would dominate after afew years. Rangers had the cream of the crop from football when the english never had sky money. So this comes our way those days will return. The big clubs in england have towns or citys supporting them. Rangers and celtic will have the majority of our country. If this goes ahead we should get investors n loans to build 100,000 seater as we could easily fill on home matches. We did take over 200,000 fans to manchester. i think 10 years down the line the top six clubs would regret this as i truelly believe both glasgow clubs would begin to dominate the epl. If you were a player which atmosphere in england gives u the passion at home games like the old firm. None. If u were a player would u want to be a legend for a city. Or a Superstar of a country. The draw would be massive n everyplayers strives to play in atmospheres like ours. Just not so much in scotland 👌💙💙💙💙💙.

Two of the biggest clubs in the world in a wasteland

Massive potential, and it is known to tv companies that if they played in epl they would be an incredible investment prospect and enhance the epl worldwide

Yes both clubs would be big down there. but same pull as the mega millions as man city? liverpool etc. its not set in stone could go horribly wrong. Everton spent 160 million one season finished mid table. Aston villa. arsenal etc etc. i for one want us to stay in our own country. But everybody has there own opinion.

Totally agree TT. Rangers n celtic averaged bigger home attendances thn 18 of the premierships top clubs before C.V. struck n thts playing livi n so on. Rangers n celtic are sleeping giants simply because tv money has disadvantaged us to an extraordinary level. If we had the same finances from tv revenue both would thrive and overtake the vast majority of epl teams.

Oh and if this did happen expect big foreign investment. As the potential would be massive. wouldn't be surprised if some rich businessmen try to invest incase this happens as the potential would be limitless. i'd expect our share prices to dramatically increase if this looks like it is on the cards.

Obviously we wouldn’t compete at the top for a few years but we would do in time.

Also you think it would be boring finishing mid table? The Scottish league is boring with either old firm winning league every year 36 years ago was the last time one of us didn’t and it’s also poor in quality.

My thoughts on Rangers and Celtic going to EPL. It is very unlikely to happen
The big six r not exactly popular, so will find it hard to get it through
They want 20 team league reduced to 18, this is to cover the extra four champions league games
They then want rangers and Celtic in, so another two off the 20 go down
Three teams come up from championship, r they going to say no we will satay down.
So potentially 7 off the 14 would need to vote to go down, the promotion contenders may also need to vote no promotion.
Remember Wembley playoff touted as 120 million match, who gives that up.

I personally would love a move to England we owe Scottish football nothing after what has happened to us over the last decade time to look after number one IMO .
