Ok fellow bears we all practically agree that its going to be extremely difficult to replace our veteran playmaker steven davis 🤔We also all agree that we should be looking now for wee davo's longterm replacement 🤔 I think davis will still be playing for another 2 years which of course gives us breathing space, to bring a young midfielder in to work with davo and eventually replace him 🤔
We'll all have different ideas to who we think our club should bring in to replace davis eventually 🤔The 2 that stand out for me that play in davis's current position are billy gilmour and james garner, the young man utd player 👍I equally like both, but i'd go for garner, as i honestly think we've a much better chance of being able to sign him permanently and i don't think we could sign gilmour permanently 🤔The other reason i think we could possibly sign garner permanently is because he won't be in the man utd midfield anytime soon and his idol is steven gerrard as he grew up wanting to be like his idol gerrard 👍So who does everyone else think we could/ should sign, as steven davis's eventual successor 🤔.

I have a fear gilmour will not play in a year or 2 think he needs to go on loan I’f possible think he will be class although I would rather we buy a player we can keep for 5 years 2 years developing then take over from Davis gilmour will want to stay in epl that being said I think wages are going to change big time in football clubs are massively in debt and this super league was there way out the owners do not want to pay 800million of the debt off and this they have players they can sell is a load of rubbish all the clubs that could afford them and there wages are 5/ 600 million in debt plus.

The 2 boys you've mentioned are likely to be sought after in the EPL I'd imagine coop.
I think Davis's replacement will sign this summer and the club have probably identified a couple of potential signings.
Lundstrum has been linked to us for quite a while.

SGL how can gilmour replace Davis He would only becoming on loan if at all.

Garner I don’t know much about how much it would cost but if it’s only a loan then it’s a no as they won’t replace Davis.


Lundstrum could be one if we can get him, but think he is a different kind of player to Davis.

They must be gems out there in Croatian football and other countries like that and hopefully our club is looking tho I don’t doubt that they aren’t.

Still speculation on Campbell from Motherwell coming although not replacement for Davis obviously

Replacing Davis I’d like a young upcoming player and give him the chance to progress and shine in the team while Davis still here.

The stig that’s where I see Kelly being involved, McCann is by far the best young midfield prospect in Scotland apart from Kelly and turnbull imo.
