I'm not a lawyer but does Sturgeon have the legal authority to ban an old firm game? Haven't heard such a thing elsewhere on the planet.

Would she not have to ban all football? But her reason would have to be spike in positive CV tests.
And I'm sure FIFA / UEFA don't like interference from Governments in football matters and that could see Scotland banned from the Euros.

She probably has the authority, but she won't. If she pulled the game she would need to pull the remainder of the season, and If she does this, she is going to end up with one helluva mess on her hands.
Just imagine the uproar from fans who have paid for season tickets, or sky sitting back and accepting this. There's a big difference this time. Last time it happened was the start of the C.V. and we didn't know what we were up against so it was accepted due to safety concerns. That acceptance will be hard to come by If the season is pulled because of some drunken fans celebrating a league championship. Also, there's the small matter of the Euros and the games at hampden. UEFA have already stated that the weekend celebrations will have no bearing, however, If the nats start cancelling the remainder of the games, this will not go down well.
The nats need these Euro games at Hampden for a bit of glamour and to look good. Do you think they'll jeopardise this?
