Guys I've seen posters on here stating Doncaster said he can't rule out null and void. i read the article. what he actualy says that he expects with the current guidelines spl and championship should be completed but he doesn't gave a crystal ball and due to the nature of the situation he couldn't rule out null and void but at the same time it's for the members to decide and not him. In true little Britain style in other words. yes but no but yes.

His phone will be red hot and I wonder what the lower leagues will make of no payout/ prize money and what UEFA will do with European places if we are all written off?

He’s not actually sending a message, it’s just sensationalism journalism once again by the Daily Rubbish. He was asked directly would he rule out Null and Void happening and he had to give a full honest answer which is that quite rightly it’s not his decision, if things ever had to be put to a vote it’s up to the member clubs to decide not him, so HE can’t rule out anything. As the OG poster says, he fully expects the premier league and championship will be played to a finish. He also stated that Null and Void would be the very worst out come due to a whole range of factors. However, again, he personally can not rule it out because it’s not up to him. The headline however made it seem as if he was coming out and pushing a ‘Null and Void’ agenda, which he clearly wasn’t.

He never actually said it last year (Even in the new Daily Record article where they try to claim he said it last year, the actual quotes say something quite different)
What he said last year was ‘Null and Void would leave us and the clubs open to a wide range of liabilities therefore I don’t think Null and avoid was ever a realistic possibility’
He’s saying that because again it’s the clubs that would have to vote on all options, not he and the spfl that would make any decision.
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t like Doncaster, I think he’s a tw*t. All I’m saying is that what really was stated and should of been the headline from this interview was: ‘Doncaster states he’s confident the premier league season will be played to a finish’. However the DR have chosen to spin it another way in order to panic Rangers fans and excite Celtic fans. cause they’re a pathetic rag.

I heard him with my own ears just year saying null and void was not it never could be an option . infact on more than one occasion. He didn’t say then that it was up to the clubs . He said because if the financial ramifications. ie tv deals that it couldn’t even be considered . Fact . if you want verification I am sure the old sport sounds and superscore board interviews are still there .
And for the record it’s no conspiracy theory . not a theory at all but 100% fact . check for yourself.

As far as UEFA is concerned, it's quite simple, if we Null and Void, there will be NO Scottish Teams in Europe as there will be no official placings, also no prize money, it would be like Turkeys voting for Christmas for any team in Scotland to vote Null and Void.

I’m not saying he didn’t say those things about Null and Void last year but realistically he was saying it was never an option last year because financially it would of been a catastrophe. So the clubs would never have opted for it.
What I’m trying to say is this whole thing is more about the way the Daily Record has tried to create a story out of really nothing. Because that’s what they do to try to sell papers. Doncaster never even says the words ‘Null and Void’. Keith (w*nk stain) Jackson deliberately asks him about it during a lengthy Q and A, Doncaster stats it’s not up to him and the spfl, it’d be down to the clubs to vote on and decide, but that it would be the worst option and a total financial disaster and anyway he’s confident the league will be able to finish as normal. The fore mentioned Keith (w*nk stain) Jackson then writes an article in a very inflammatory way with a title designed to provoke an outcry from Rangers fans. I just don’t want our fans panicking over something that hopefully won’t ever even need to be discussed as an option because that’s all the DR are trying to do.

gers1978 spot on brother. i don't like dungcaster either, the last paragraph of the article i read stated, the league would have liabilities for null and void and its member clubs decisions.
