As hard as last night was to take, hopefully it’s a one off. Here’s my take on it, that cup meant nothing, and I’ll explain why. If we won that and lost the league, would we be hailing Gerrard for winning silverware? No chance! And if we win the league do we really give a flying f*** about the betfred cup?

u having a laugh meant nothing it was there for us to pick up and part of a treble . if that can happen then the league has a long way to go.

That cup meant nothing? bull. When the Tim's were winning it the last 4 years I was as sick as a parrot watching them parade it round Hampden wishing it was us. We had a chance to make them sick and blew it big time. Gerrard admitted he got it wrong by tinkering with the team. I'm still raging BTW.

Aye very good the cup meant nothing.
Crazy post of the day 🤣😂
But by all means cary on with your way of thinking if it makes you feel better.

What if we don’t win the cup and don’t win the league then? What a silly post.

Dress it up anyway you like to try and make you feel better but it was a disgrace and another trophy goes a begging for a team that have still won nothing.

Di rangers plat their strongest team in the earlyer stages of that cup if so then why weaken the team at later stages when teams reach later stages due to their form can any1 explain this to me.

We did play a weaker team in the earlier round.
Some people need to do research before talking nonsense.
And we played a weaker team against Poznan and nobody complained. Oh that's right we won that game.

Firstly let me try and defend my comments, of course the cup counts as a piece of silverware and we want to win every competition we enter but we were always going to get beaten at some point and right now I’d rather it was in the betfred cup rather than a league game or European knock out game. All I meant was that if we win the league this year, which surely to god is the most important thing that all Rangers fans want, will we really bother that we didn’t win the betfred cup? As opposed to if we don’t won’t the league can we really take any comfort that we won the betfred cup?
That’s all I meant guys, at this current point in time if we had to lose a game, this is the one I’d have chosen.
Don’t get me wrong, that cup was there for the taking and we massively underperformed but this isn’t going to be the competition that defines our season.

KJA9 sorry you think it’s a silly post. You say if we do t win the cup and league we win nothing. So if we don’t won’t the league this year would you be satisfied if we’d won the betfred cup? Or if we do win the league will you at that point be raging that we didn’t win the betfred cup?

The betfred cup is better than nothing and I won’t be satisfied unless we win the league but your comments are still wrong.

The betfred cup was a great chance of winning something and would have given this team a lot of confidence especially as they still haven’t won anything so you to dismiss it last that was silly.

The thing that worries me most about not being able to win that cup isn’t getting the silverware. It’s that if we could’ve gone on to win it then it would’ve given players more belief and a winning mentality.
