Wee question for you's fellow bears, reply's will be appreciated. I've not bought a rangers shirt for years for obvious reasons, got the missus to nip down n buy me the black n orange top today due to the problems with home top. It's too small I'll need to go up a size and I'm not as keen on it in person. Missus and mother said the home tops were fine plenty folk in buying them and they don't see the problem, I was worried to buy one after seeing all the problems. Suppose what I'm asking is what is the actual problem regarding home tops and should I just buy 1 and ignore what I've seen online etc.,? Also what's happening with the so called "pro top" and is there a major price difference. Cheers guys 👍🏻.

Ingerrardwetrust, I ordered a home top and some other stuff on line. The home top is made in Turkey and I like the look and feel of it. My away top is made in China. There isn’t a lot of difference in materials used with the exception of the rear shoulder/ neck vent. I wouldn’t be put off buying the home top.

Cheers guys I’ll prob just get the home one the mawra as a swap, what in mot understanding is how they can release 2 different version of the same top. It makes no sense. Shouldn’t have been aloud to happen. If u buy a replica jersey that’s what you’re buying. Not 2 diff tops. Wonder what the price difference will be when this new “ pro top” is released.?

They must be small made by look of it. I’ll get off my arse the mawra and go see for myself 😂👍🏻.

Naw barrow lad apparently the top in shop and online isn’t an exact replica of players top, they will be releasing the exact top which players wear known as the “ pro top” at a later date, am not sure on the exact date but think it’s next month. I would imagine this will be more expensive than the £60 top. This will only be case with home tops. Apparently that’s why some people are getting 2 different versions Of home top Delivered When ordering online. The new pro top will be made in China while the one on sale atm is made in turkey. there's a difference in some of the materials used and the follow follow writing around the inside along with minor details. Causing the same strip to be. 2 different strips. It’s been causing quite a drama I’m surprised you haven’t seen it mate 👍🏻.

Castore have said they had to outsource from usual manufacturer because of short timescale and large numbers required, thus meaning lesser quality tops in some instances, hence my original post was it worth buying the home top and ignoring the drama or waiting on this so called pro top being released. But unsure if they’re going to charge excess for that top, apparently 2nd and 3rd kits are all the same it’s only home top that’s been affected.

Pro top costs £100.👍
And apparently, Castore have said they sent some out by mistake to people who had ordered the normal £65 tops.
Don't know how true that is though?

Well you questioned the sale of two different home tops! By the way all football teams sell an inferior shirt to fans its called keeping costs down! That's why the pro shirt that has accidentally been sent out to some will cost around £100.

Cheers bluebell that was the answer I was looking for mate, and to my knowledge barrowlad and please correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve never once in my life heard of any club selling 2 different versions of same football top for 2 diff prices and to what bluebell has just toOf me will cost £100. According to u earlier I was referring to home and away tops which I told u I wasn’t and u have just now changed you’re reply. Av never heard of a fan top and a pro top at almost double the price.

{Ed001's Note - Liverpool's new tops come in two different versions.}

Cheers ed001, I knew someone would tell me some Other club does it but I’ve never heard of it mate and I think it’s shocking tbh. Is that just started this season With Liverpool? And does anybody know of any other club who has done it before this season? I know you can get diff tops I. e champions league badges and extra things on tops. But to have diff materials and visibly different patches on shoulders and writing etc I think is shocking.

{Ed001's Note - I believe it is commonplace with Nike and we just signed to Nike for this season. One is just a facsimile to wear when you go out, the other (iirc correctly they call it vapour wear or something like that) is intended for exercising/doing sport in. Or so they say. There is a big difference in price. You have always been able to get the proper kits, rather than replicas, but I have never known them to be sold as a normal thing before. I don't know if I have just not heard of it though, as I don't take a lot of notice of this kind of thing.}

Interesting to know Liverpool are doing it, I’m going to look more into it just for the sake of knowing. Still don’t think they should be selling 2 diff tops though. If they want to use expensive fabric for players to improve performance or comfort while playing etc that’s fine by me. But all the fans kits should be the same, I just don’t agree with it man 🤷‍♂️ It’s not right and I’ll not be paying £100 for a football tap lol al stick to the council version 😂.
