Hi bears wee question for yous.
Seems to be we are all in agreement that there needs to be s platform for our youths.
Would anyone like to see the rule in which at least 2 of the subs have to be under 21 homegrown players (from clubs academy not literal in a nationality sense) which was scrapped in 2012 to be reintroduced.

If we are allowed five subs in a game then I would suggest that you could have six or seven named of which two had to be Academy with the flexibility of any five from those named. As things stand we might need to name a couple of our academy players in our match day squad!

Even with 3 subs it worked, Chris Burke, Charlie Adam, Stevie Smith, John fleck, Alan Hutton all benefitted from the rule. Who's came through since?

Naming them as subs doesn't mean they'll get a game which renders the rule pointless.

Hagi7 if there are injuries to a player in a certain position it forces the managers hand to use the youth rather than change his entire tactical approach.

Anything that promotes our young, talented footballers I am all for. Young talented footballer are the life blood of football. I don’t see why we cannot do something similar to Ajax and top Dutch teams. We need a sustainable model for the football club.

So you'd be quite happy to follow the Ajax model where they might not win the league for a couple of season's, be successful, sell all their star players, then start again?
Aye no bother! We're all ready wanting to chase Gerrard out of town after 2 season's! Imagine if someone had to do it with kids, up against Celtic?
